Choosing Copic Greens (Frogs and a free chart)

- Let's talk about choosing Copic green colors. Greens are a color that Copic doesn't do well; I'm not particularly sure if it's not the color's fault - they're a bear to mix yourself. Or maybe they're a frog, not a bear! Blog post with more info and pinnable images: bit.ly/2MPdX5R

A great teacher you really are ... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You have a very kind heart. 🧡💛
Awesome card...loving seeing the differences in green
Love these guys. 🐸. Thanks for the green combos. 💚
Thank you, this is a good idea. I’m not experienced with Copics so videos like this really help me.
I liked the frogs but I Loved the push pins. There's nothing like a nice neat row of office supplies!
So cute Sandy. I dont have very many copics, always trying go figure out what greens to use together. I only have 4. This is great lesson.
Love the frog colors! Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing the copic combo's. They are sooooo appreciated! I could watch you color all day! LOL......
I LOVED YOUR FROGS. Many years ago I had some water problems at home and to make a long story short... somehow a frog wound up in the water closet of the toilet. He was the greenest frog I have ever seen. He looked like your standing frog, if not brighter.. My brother removed him for me and set him free outside. So they can be really green sometimes.
How have I never noticed that push pin chart? 🤔 More interesting than the plain rectangle chart I have been using. I’m learning to appreciate the desaturated colors; I really liked some of the ones in your test sheet.
I know I dissected a frog, but I don't remember the experience but I do remember smelling formaldehyde for the entire summer after completing the disection! Uggh and I even worked outside at a pool! No frogs in the pool, but my son did get some tadpoles one year from a teacher at our church and we raised them till they grew into little toads. They were quite cute and we let them go in our backyard and they hopped away one day and we never saw them again. That was in CA, now we are in VA and I only see foxes and deer here. I have yet to find a toad or frog. Enjoyed the video and the chart help. In fact I finally got me one of your hex charts for Copics! I am hopping off to color it in!
So useful, more color combinations please
I loved watching you create this cute picture. I learned a lot of things from watching, thanks so much!
Love the coloring. Love the card. Love the story. Thanks Sandy
Loved your frog story and lucky you for getting out of dissecting it! We have small frogs (probably toads) in our yard. My Newfie is always surprised to see them jump up when she's walking near them.
Thanks a lot for the green combos and sharing the charts. I'm learning a lot with you.
Totally understand your frog story! I never touched the frog either. I took notes and my lab partner touched the frog.
Thanks for the lesson and free blending charts. You are such a wonderful teacher!!
Thank you so much for the green combos. I will agree with you...Copic and Greens....ugh!! 😫 I'm definitely trying out your green combos! Thank you for always taking the time out for videos and showing us different techniques!
Sandy thank you for these downloads, I purchased your hex charts years ago and I think these new cute charts will be a great addition to my chart!
I love Art Impression stamps and this card came out really cute. I grew up on a fish hatchery so I've got tons of frog stories. But I won't bore you with the details, some of them not so nice.
I live in Calaveras County, where the annual frog jump is held🐸. This stamp will be added to my collection!!! Thanks for the tips on copic greens!
Howdy almost neighbor. I live in Elk Grove if you know where that is. I love going up to Angels Camp and all those other fun towns.
Lisa DeLong Elk Grove is my go to for BIG shopping, our county is a bit lacking in that area and Elk Grove offers many options👍
Sandy, thanks for another great video---not only instructive, but inspiring interesting comments. Thank you, too, for your generosity in providing the downloadable color swatch charts at no cost. You didn't have to do that, much less with several from which to choose. You rock! Have a great weekend. :o)
Not a huge fan of real frogs...over the summer I was sweeping my deck and saw a rock wedged under my sliding door. As I got closer to remove it I realized it was a little toad! 🙈 scared the life out of me!!! Love your coloring sheet! Thank you for sharing that!
LOVE FROGS!!! They’re my favorite amphibian!!! They’re always wearing a smile!!! This is an adorable & fun card Sandy, I appreciate the use of the variety of greens and for the free chart. So grateful you shared this wonderful card and coloring with green color combos, going to give these a try with the greens I have. As always, sending blessings and hugs sweet soul!!!
These frogs would be fun to use this Feb since its a Leap Year!
Oh I frog-ot about leap year! 🐸
@@SandyAllnock1 I was born on leap year, 2/29/60. So having a birthday every four years has been quite the conversational piece all my life. Trying to explain that to little kids is quite funny.
My brother was leap year baby born at midnight. So doctor told my mom, I'm putting birth time down 11:59 on Feb 28th. He was such a beautiful and brilliant artist. He loved oils and pastels. And boy could he cook as well! Healthy guy, but one night sudden headache and collapse. He had a brain aneurysm, survived emergency brain surgery was in and out of coma. Then drs said he would most likely not wake again. If he did he would be severe 24hr extensive care. After 3 weeks we finally with drs advice removed feeding tube and IV fluids and let him go naturally. That was 2.5 yrs ago. Happy birthday Lisa.
@@summer5851 I'm so sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was a great guy. How old was he? I lost two brothers last year within two weeks of each other. I have had to take care of all their affairs and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Neither one of them were married or had children. Thank you for the birthday greetings.
This is so cute! I love that stamp. :) Hey, I ordered the Hex chart a few weeks back and I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE that chart! Oh my word, best tool out there for any who want to color with copics! I don't have very many markers but I tell ya, that chart is a game changer in my opinion. I was strictly going by the number game and when I finished coloring my chart I just saw so many more combos that actually work! Yes...I'm a novice. ha ha Anyway, thanks for doing all of the hard work and helping your fellow crafters. Hey people...do yourself a huge favor and get Sandy's Hex chart! *or any of her charts ;) It's totally worth the money! (which is minimal!)
Thanks for the review! 😍😍😍😍
I love frogs...they just make me smile. I have a collection of ceramic ones and small fabric ones, and have received frog Christmas ornaments over the years. And of course, frog stamps! Trying to limit stamp purchases given that I have many still unused...but boy is this set cute!🐸🐸🐸
Love the frogs
Thank-you for addressing the greens. I need to play with them more. I had to dissect everything in h.s. and bio lab in college. A baby pig! I was never going medical and felt all they need is one and let the teacher do it. My daughter had to dissect a cat. She was so upset and I didn't blame her.
Love the frogs.
Man....I’m a sucker for AI’s punny critter sets....this one is definitely going on my wish list. I am really getting use out of my hex chart to select colors - I ought to try the testing chart to keep track of the combos I try. Thanks, Sandy!
My favorite frog 🐸 is the old one
I had to dissect a frog waaay back when. We had to go and catch our own frogs then carry it to school the next day. I hated the vibrations from it jumping around in the box. My "bou-frog" was full of eggs. Yugh! Thanks for the green combos!
Gah!!! 😱
I had to dissect a frog in 8th grade. A lot of kids were swearing they would not do it but in the end everybody did and nobody was freaked out. I went to a small Catholic school that had no special classrooms so the dissections took place in the cafeteria, on the tables where kids ate lunch. I went home for lunch every day but it still bothered me that we were working there.
OMG...that's horrible!
Haha I think they do that at night while we are sleeping, standing up and quacking away. :-) You made me remember my Edudigis. I'm going through them again. LOve them so much.
Such an adorable card! I’m sure frogs change colour with age because tadpoles are black, right? Also, Sandy - D’oh! Kermit walks around on his back feet ALL the time and he’s a frog!!! 🐸
Cute!!!!!!
Love the color green so I use it all the time. Trying to get the chart but for some reason no matter what I do it will not let me past log in page. I logged in and nothing. HELP! I have all of your other charts and would love this one. Thanks for sharing.

I'm with you on dissecting frogs ... or anything! I hated science, I think because it conflicts with a creative mind (right brain, left brain thing). Anyway love the card and the color theory lesson. My poor Copics have been neglected for so long - I need to go give them some love! TFS
Oh my gosh, how funny that your G20 gets no use and I have had to refill mine.
Thanks for the lesson, Sandy! There is no way in hell I would ever dissect a frog...not waaay back then, not now, and not in the future. My stomach nor my mind could handle it! TFS
Wondering do you have this in reds? I'm having issue with reds.
No, sorry...
I tried several times to d/l with no success.
Try on a computer, smart devices can’t store files. 😍
It would be super helpful if you superimposed the names of the Copics you're using on the side or somewhere.
Have you seen that I do that in a gajillion other videos? Once in a while I just give myself a break since I already had showed the colors.
I have a frog collection ... lol ... and I used to have a server that was ... Froggy.com ... lol ...
Kermit the Frog stands on his back legs. 😉
And sings, too, as does Michigan J. Frog, who also dances with aplomb! :o)
I collect all kinds of frogs to have around me because FROG means Fully Relying on God!
