If it weren’t for you, I’d never have thought to even look for some of the more minor imperfections 😅. In the end, I don’t think I actually care that much if things are a little off in the screening, but it has made me more aware of what issues I do care about and has made me more careful to make sure I get the doll off the shelf that I feel the most connected with.

I'm definitely excited to see you unbox and review the male doll (Ash) as he has a new face model that looks way better than the two previous boys. As a figure collector who only collects male figures I'm quite sadden by the West's appalling male doll selection. Ash is the first male doll I've ever seen that is well made compared to the Japanese figures I collect as well as being cute with a techwear and space fashion style that lines up perfectly with my own. Not to mention he's in greyscale and in studies audio. I'm happy to say he will be my first doll ever when I find him. Great video and I look forward to your review on Ash.
I tried the spiked choker from OMG Punk Girl on my Heather and can confirm that the spikes were cumbersome with the jacket. I had to switch back to a studded jewelry instead. Mine also had a bit of a mustache but I was able to clean it up easy with some acetone and a cotton swab. I swapped her dress for Luna's second dress and put her in her jacket and the pumps from her second fit- she looks soooooooo good! I can't wait to try some of Nicole's pieces on her too. Also thank you for putting a little warning up before the image of the snake. 🖤
FYI you can pull the dress down and use it as a high wasted skirt. I actually think it fits better that way. I have her wearing it like that and the black piece and her jacket. It's super cute
Saw the whole set on a Walmart end cap a few days ago. I was surprised how attracted I was to Nicole Steel. Heather and Shanelle are my faves of them all.
Heather was my least favorite initially but her clothing details are amazing and she's winning me over. Her second outfit's my favorite. I'm not stressed about the dress variant. I like the simpler version. MGA loads so many extra straps and zippers onto doll clothes sometimes that I could honestly do without.
I just got Heather the other day and I'm in absolute love with her! I was so scared she was going to have that yellow tinge to her like in her stock photos but no! She's a lovely gray with no yellow in sight, even with the slightly yellow lighting of my room. She doesn't clash too badly with the rest of my collection either, she fits right in. I love this doll and can't wait for my Shanelle to come in!
I agree! People say “the reason why you feel like you don’t have anything to wear is cuz you don’t have any basics” and shadow high is SERVING on the black and whites. ALSO THE RADIUS IS MY FAVE 😀
Shanelle is my favorite, since I want to be a couture fashion designer too. I was going to go to school/college for fashion design but the pandemic really screwed up my plan and it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon. I really love her and her outfit, it actually screams couture for me with the main outfits interesting skirt type and the second outfits mixing patterns and materials, she reminds my of myself and my crazy cool closet.
I cant wait to own Shadow High! Heather is one of my favorites (with Luna) in Shadow High and it was so nice to see all the details she came with! I think my favorite piece on Heather are the haor accessories😍
I put my RH stands “upside down” too. Before I flipped them it felt like I couldn’t display some of my dolls without them falling off (especially Kia).
I've 5 nieces to buy gifts for so I am more often in the doll aisle when I visit toy stores. I was in Walmart Canada today, and a year later from when you posted this video they still have a healthy selection of these Shadow High series 1 dolls, except for Natasha. I am so impressed by the detail & textures on this one & I love her face & split white/black hair so I had to pick up one for myself! Plus her price had dropped a bit from CAD$49.97 to $44.97. I have the simpler variant which I am more than happy with, and the batch number is 18222WFE MLA.
I just got mine yesterday and I’m in love with her. I ended up having to take out the accessories in her hair because I had one fall out so I just took them out because I didn’t want to loose them. And I had to redo her ponytails so I took out her little extensions. I like it better without the extensions but that’s just me. I did still keep all of her hair accessories but anyway she is gorgeous I definitely recommend her. Going to get Ash, Shanelle or Natasha next but definitely recommend Miss Heather Grayson😁

Just thought I'd mention that heather's dress with the additional retail was the original version and the same as her box art. The dress was actually discontinued due to supply issues so there aren't many of that particular one available. So I guess the original isn't exactly a variant as it's not going to be readily available as there were very few released. My uncle is a graphic designer for MGA and I noticed the difference in heather's dress from the box art and asked my uncle about it and the above info was his answer. I'm in Australia and sadly the shadow high beauties aren't available here yet but I was lucky enough to have family in the US send them all to me and they arrived last week. They're all so incredible to look at. Natasha and Shannelle are truly mesmerising to look at and I must admit I stare at them a lot. My Heather did have some glue on her face too as you mentioned lol. But you know all six dolls were perfect with no quality issues at all. I was really impressed with them all. The boy is also the best boy we've seen so far.
The PR samples are the freshest you can get them off the assembly line and have the less detailed dress. It feels like I’ve heard a lot of people say their uncle works for MGA 🤔
I also love their stan that way lol i feel like its more usefull and we can tight them more on the waist by take it down. I love this review i was hopping to see it soon but i know you're moving. Can't wait for the next packing vlog. ! As always, great review brooke. :D

Yesterday I went to a target in hopes of finding Shanelle. She wasn’t there BUT my Luna I ordered came, and I love her sooooo much!!! after seeing you and others videos on her I fell in love.😍 Your heather is so pretty, And after seeing the review, I might need to get her
I didn't like Heather AT ALL, based on the initial PR photos of this line. Now, after this review, she might be the 1st one I get! So much thought and quality was put into this doll and her outfits. Seems like the same was put into all of them. Can't wait to get them!
My Nicole had the tabs not the glue. Weird that they all aren't like that. And Ash will be the 1st Rainbow High boy I'm going to I think. I love his face and his outfit.
How odd :o I prefer the tabs over the glue but it doesn’t make a big difference for the consumer I guess haha! I think Ash is super cute. Brett was very impressed with his outfit and inquired as to why I left him

I swear the UK got pacific coast? I think slumber and rocker are store exclusive so it’s probably hard to get a store to take them in the UK? Unfortunately I don’t know :(
@@xCanadensis we do have pacific coast, and we have a shop that exclusively has Kia which I love, but I’ve only seen the sleepover online and they go for hundreds so im guessing they got them shipped from US maybe x
The boxes for the fashions were changed because sadly people were able to steal them too easily in stores and a lot of the chain stores complained about this so MGA changed it. I'm glad they did it through as I do like the new boxes.

@@xCanadensis the only thing mga need to do now is stop outing so many little plastic tags on the clothes. I get they have to hold them upright in the box but all those little tags leave holes in the clothes.
The stands are meant to go with the lip at the top but hey if it works for you upside down its cool. The lip is designed for the waist clamp to sit exactly at waist height. But it doesn't matter what way you have it as long as it works. Ya know I have an issue with Nicole's stand. I literally had to super glue it together because it just didn't stay in. I was re doing her hair and it drove me crazy as it fell out constantly.
@@xCanadensis that is very true actually. At least the shadow high waist clamps are all the skinny versions. Those thick ones are quite intrusive. Although Ash's stand does have the thick clamp.
The original pics of Heather I saw made her skin look super yellow and it was jarring against her hair, but she looks lovely and cohesive in your video!! I love all her outfit pieces, so you may have sold me on her!

Has anyone found Shanelle in store at Target? I got Heather 1st and got the more detailed dress. I did a review yesterday for Natasha. I wish the feathers on her 1st dress were executed better. And I don’t love when they give dolls slipper heels. I do wish these had had hangers. My Shanelle should arrive from Target this Friday I used the $25 off coupon. Def bummed that she got backordered and will arrive late considering release was 4/18 and Walmart got them early. 🖤🖤🖤

I was at walmart & I was out of town and found a shanelle! They only had 2 of her, then the rest were Natasha and Luna. I'm from North East PA, so I'm curious to what target you ended up at, but not killing me. Shanelle had little if any gel, so I didn't need to undo her hair! As I'm still with family, even they were shocked at how pretty a monotone doll is.
Kia has similar bamboo earrings but heart shaped so maybe that's why heather's look familiar? also the hair rings are metal ! i found that out when i was restyling her cause they were sticking to my computer lmao
Her variant dress looks so incomplete without the black cutout and zippers, you can especially tell with the zipper at the bottom. With the black cutout dress, the bottom zipper make sense.
I thought the more detailed dress was the first batch and that they took away the details :O How do you know its the other way around? I really like the more detailed dress, and I didn't think id be able to get it until now? I've only seen one Heather in the store so far and its the less detailed dress
It’s an assumption since I believe PR got the less detailed dress… so it seems odd that they would send out the lesser product for PR when the PR dolls are specifically nicer than final release. Also stock photos have the less detailed one and stock photos are taken of the samples (sometimes hand painted protos) No idea if it’s the reality at all, nobody knows
My favorite arm bone is a cheat answer it’s the carpals aside from that I think Heather is stunning I love all her pieces and design I just don’t know if she translates well into a doll as much as she does on paper or animation I still have to see her in person tho

I got Heather and Natasha today at 2 Targets, one a half hour away from me and the other 5 minutes away from me. Both of them are in their second outfits. Fair warning: the long-sleeved top for Heather and the coat for Natasha were a huge pain in the butt to put on them.

When you get to Nicole, can you comment about her mouth? Apparently a slightly down-turned mouth is common, but possibly not all have it. My store has a down-turned version. She’s still cute, but I would prefer a little smile. I’m trying to decide if I should wait, so just wondering what’s out there.

Problem being I live in new zealand and postage is nuts to america rn, though it could be unboxed and sent over to you?? it's probably not worth it but I thought it would be worth mentioning, since it really does seem to have disappeared off the face of the planet lol

I was at walmart & I was out of town and found a shanelle! They only had 2 of her, then the rest were Natasha and Luna. I'm from North East PA, so I'm curious to what target you ended up at, but not killing me. Shanelle had little if any gel, so I didn't need to undo her hair! As I'm still with family, even they were shocked at how pretty a monotone doll is.

Her variant dress looks so incomplete without the black cutout and zippers, you can especially tell with the zipper at the bottom. With the black cutout dress, the bottom zipper make sense.

I thought the more detailed dress was the first batch and that they took away the details :O How do you know its the other way around? I really like the more detailed dress, and I didn't think id be able to get it until now? I've only seen one Heather in the store so far and its the less detailed dress
It’s an assumption since I believe PR got the less detailed dress… so it seems odd that they would send out the lesser product for PR when the PR dolls are specifically nicer than final release. Also stock photos have the less detailed one and stock photos are taken of the samples (sometimes hand painted protos)
No idea if it’s the reality at all, nobody knows
My favorite arm bone is a cheat answer it’s the carpals aside from that I think Heather is stunning I love all her pieces and design I just don’t know if she translates well into a doll as much as she does on paper or animation I still have to see her in person tho

I got Heather and Natasha today at 2 Targets, one a half hour away from me and the other 5 minutes away from me. Both of them are in their second outfits. Fair warning: the long-sleeved top for Heather and the coat for Natasha were a huge pain in the butt to put on them.

When you get to Nicole, can you comment about her mouth? Apparently a slightly down-turned mouth is common, but possibly not all have it. My store has a down-turned version. She’s still cute, but I would prefer a little smile. I’m trying to decide if I should wait, so just wondering what’s out there.

But sidenote- you've mentioned a couple of times that you're looking for the Amaya hair washing playset for rainbow high and it's hard to come by for you, it's shown up on a second hand market place in my country for about $36USD. Problem being I live in new zealand and postage is nuts to america rn, though it could be unboxed and sent over to you?? it's probably not worth it but I thought it would be worth mentioning, since it really does seem to have disappeared off the face of the planet lol

Shadow High is a spin-off of Rainbow High. They’re the same dolls but Shadow High are grayscale
