The bonus started like a cool beat, then was in a cave, the decayed in horribleness, then sounded awesome, and then started to sound like one and six trying to sing with a robot to their favourite beat in a karaoke bar.
Hey Andrew Huang; you should totally take all the best sound bites you have from these two 100 fx videos, and make a song from them. Would be a neat challenge.
What random effects sound like: Time: Effects: Sound: 9:23 15 Noise and advertisement music had a baby. 9:54 19 Warpy metal. 10:14 24 Chill, soft, gentle, death screams of crying baby demons. 10:19 25 Static with a slight rhythm. 10:38 33 Godzilla walking in the distance. 10:45 37 Sticking all of your string instruments in an extremely echoy room. 11:13 45 Jumpscare from the latest FNAF. 11:29 51 Electro song 11:32 52 Static again. >:| 11:46 57 War of the planet of the bell army! 11:56 60 A little less bells. 12:30 74 A kettle screaming. 13:07 IDK More screams. Sorry if times aren't quite correct. :P
*Homestuck Related Comment because of some shitty reason because Andrew is the name of this dude and is the also the name of the Author with a relation to Pink Fluffy Horse things*
I think you're right. Ring modulation has to do with /incredibly fast/ modulation. I think all the troughs in the modulation waves combined to make silence.
Depends on the ring mod and the setting. Most digital ringmods are usually ampmods instead. If you just automate the volume off and on again really fast you get the same effect most times.
could also be something to do with the pitching down of the sound. almost as if the piano eventually was pitched so far down as to not be audible to human ears?
when you get an ad that advertises a program that apperantly "makes everything sound better" i legit want to buy their product right now just to try some of these noises
I know nothing about making music, but this was super entertaining and interesting!! Loving these kind of videos from you, keep it up! And don't kill your ears : )
I think you should redo some of these but play the chords an octave lower or adding some bass to it. I feel like if there were lower frequencies that the shrieking would be less prominent. That or it would be accompanied with really phat bass.
I don't even think he hit a note. With the number of layers from last time, sometimes he didn't even have to touch the keys to get sound. It's like when you turn up an amp but don't play a note; you just get noise.
You know, I have this really strange and interesting sound that I might try to send to you sometime. It's a kind of chirping noise, but it changes based on the amount of power the device gets. I call it the "Fuzzy Scanner." (Like so he'll see!)
Oh. You can put the limiter on a master track, and forget about a changing volume and earsbleed. (If i made some MISTAEKS in a message, guys, just read this with russian accent, it's gonna be OK) Also, i guess, compressors, maximizers and limiters in some places in a FX chain will help to not "multiply signal out of existance" and ringmod experiment will be done succefully. But it's a great idea, i've exactly gonna use some "MANYHUNDREDLAYERSFX" sounds in my production, just when it will be rendered out of my Cocos Reaper (maybe i should wait a couple of years, but it worth it i hope). P.S. Traditionally "ВОДКА МАТРЕШКА БАЛАЛАЙКА БАБУШКА МАМУРОТЕБАЛЬ".
Naughtical Ableton can have parallel chains of chains. Don't think he's even using racks in this video; just placing individual effects in the default chain of a track
In this case he's talking about ring modulation. In a ring modulation there is a carrier wave (let's assume 500 hz) Then you play a note (let's say 300 Hz). The output is the sum and difference of those two frequencies. So you get a 200Hz and 800Hz tones.
"So we've got camera #2 here (hi) recording my computer screen, normally I would just do an internal screen recording, but I actually tried that, and after you load up a hundred audio plugins, everything, starts, to-" **computer death screech**
Surely all of this was totally predictable... You're using digital signals with digital effects... and all within one physical machine. You're hitting fidelity limits pretty quickly as each effect is sampling an already non-analogue input - and then on top of that you're running out of resources in your machine so there's additional clipping and feedback etc. etc. It's no surprise everything ends up being loud garbage. I would say try the same thing with separate physical analogue filters, but then you'll just get 100x noise drowning everything out and depending on the amount of damping/amplification at each stage either infinite volume or silence.
Ring mod is a type of modulation where the sound wave is doubled, and the new wave is set to a new frequency. So if you play 440 Hz, you many have a ring mod wave at 500 Hz. You then add and subtract the new frequency to figure out what sound waves you are adding. So you'd have 440 Hz+500 Hz = 940 Hz. And you would take the absolute value of |440 Hz - 500 Hz| = 60Hz. So using ring modulation you introduced 500 Hz, 940 Hz, and 60 Hz to your original 440 Hz.
Man, somehow I was expecting to get rick rolled at 100 different layers :D it was the perfect build up haha
***** i think summoning the satan still was the best sound. But i realy liked this video
andrew use the guitar rig thingy in one of your songs it sounts funky!!

The Ring Mod raised the frequency so much, it pushed the sound out of the human range of hearing.
For optimum, demon summoning try 666 layers of FX

Tohtori Kumiankka true
Tohtori Kumiankka great quote from videos
What we got out of this today:
Just ask Andrew to make demon music for your upcoming horror movie.
Or just add 100 layers of FX.
"Okey, let's do a soft one. really gentle." **computer explodes**
I guess we know how to make noise music now
100 layers of random fx, hit a key, profit
I don't think people make noise for profit lol
Ryan Heath so what is Justin bieber doing then?
1. To many Justin Bieber jokes.
2. *CLAP CLAP CLAP*
And then you record it and post it somewhere!

i personally thought sixth sounded more like a high pitched pacman sound effect
the "chord" it made at 11:56 was really beautiful, sounded like the start of a song
i think you're really beautiful too ❤️
the man man thabks the man man
Sione Teumohenga So some noise or noise-like audio + a resonator = awesomeness.
I think it was just an error sound effect, like a message saying your CPU is overloaded or something
i meant the chord/note that drones from around 11:56-12:04
I challenge you to make a song where you can only use sounds from your videos to make a song!
The clap sound will definitely be in there.
Cam Den well then he can just USE on of his old vids lol but yeah like it is from his vids
As well as that shower door 'shwoooop'
I also want him to do this.
another rule should be that he can't utilize any song tracks within his videos! :D
SONG CHALLENGE: Use clips from this video to make a song
horror sound effects have never been so easy
yeah but its also easy to make police sirens. WAAWAAWAAAWAAWWAAWAA
now who needs a waterphone xdxd
DUDE. do you ever, like, get your neighbors knocking on your door, wondering why it sounds like you've opened a portal to Hell in your apartment?

I might be wrong, but I think the ringmod became silent due to phasecanselation

That definitely sounds like a real word.
could also be something to do with the pitching down of the sound. almost as if the piano eventually was pitched so far down as to not be audible to human ears?
Yeah, also because when volume goes down, ring mod can't bring it back up, only down.
I love how the "wah" turns into a "weeee-woooo" the cops are coming.
I guess I now know what the audio equivalent of tossing all your food into a blender sounds like. And it is

You must make a full track from this vid.
Dj Minus please
why is it that you can make a video about something so annoying, but make it so enjoyable to watch?
The sausage fattener one sounds cool
I think you should redo some of these but play the chords an octave lower or adding some bass to it. I feel like if there were lower frequencies that the shrieking would be less prominent. That or it would be accompanied with really phat bass.
Nevermind, I commented before the wah section of the video.
I was like afraid his speakers were gonna explode

Help me I'm dying of laughter at 100 different effects 😂😂

I expected the ring modulation would have been the most horrifying of all. I guess not.
