For those who reached out here but failed to make their card reader work 1. Set things up in Device Management. If your door station and indoor station are green an online, tou are fine. 2. Go to groups (next to devices) and choose you Indoor Station. If your Access Point list is empty, click import and choose your Door station. 3. Now, go to Access Control and create the Access GRoup, your Access Point shall be finally listed. Add Persons to the group. 4. Apply the new Group to the Device. Setting up PINs does not necessarily make card reader work - it's just the ID so eventually you only change the presented number. and BTW - Hikvision documentation is damn poor.
Can I ask a question please 🙏 I already have my system setup and is connected to HIK Connect and works fine. I have added the keypad to the system and do not understand ivms so want to follow your guide for doing it on the screen. I have installed the keypad so do I have to do the factory default from the screen and then follow the rest of your guide in the video before it detects the keypad? Can I also reconnect to HIK Connect again after ?
Hello, I have this indoor and outdoor station and the door station has a keypad module as well. Is it possible to open the 2 connected gates individually? I can open them individually from the indoor station, but I can’t find how to do it using the keypad. Thanks a lot!

Very Important video , Need to ask if the Unlock password for the Person that created 123456 will also work after changing it from the indoor unit to 111111 ??? Need also to know how to get Unlock logs report from IVMS with the simple solution if we have only the Keypad unit without card unit to get who opened the door ??
Hello, How can I use the PIN Code (Access Control > Person > Edit Person > Access Control > Pin Code) to open the door please? Very nice video, but unfortunately my card reading device doesn't read the card numbers as shown in the video. I tried different device addresses with the DIP pins, the card module also does the twice sound when swiping the card, but the card number does not appear in IVMS in the dialog box as in the video. Any idea what could be wrong with the configuration?
Nice Video, it took me a while to figure it out with the card reader, it seems that you have to move the pins to ON from the back of the reader by removing the rubber protection and turn then pins 1,2,3,4 UP. Also the video helped a lot because i didn't know you can register the tags with the reader from the intercom and i've seen in other videos that i need a separate reader to take the ID's our and then add the ID's manually. So overall, this video helped me in many ways and i have now an up an running intercom. BIG Thank You.

Please don't say go into here when you are going from menu to menu, say what the menu item is. Sometimes hard to understand you and see what you have typed. Just a suggestion!
This is one of my least favourite intercom/access control systems. I find myself searching online hoping to find simple instructions to just add 1 user code to open a lock. This video unfortunately did not get me any closer to achieving this, it did not work as you described in the video and remains unresponsive to the code. I've used Gen 1 and a few Gen 2 devices, compared to other intercoms I find these and the whole IVMS suite bordering useless.
The 2n runs an Android operating system and has many issues, always needs resetting due to the indoor stations not receiving calls and access card not unlocking the door, I service a building and it is down all the damn time

I want to set diferentes output lock for different password or card's. It seems a big fail from hikvision if not possible do that.

Unfortunately you cant open 2nd relay using a keypad, only from the indoor station or app
