      Francisco Lohrmann Ich denke, er reagierte einfach bescheiden und scheint mehr Angst davor haben sprachliche Fehler zu machen und ging deswegen dem ganzen aus dem Weg. Effektiv hat er offensichtlich ein hervorragendes Sprachgefühl und Sprachohr gehabt, sonst hätte er niemals so schnell sprachlich adaptieren können. Beeindruckend.

      Ne, weil das semantisch überhaupt keinen Sinn ergäbe. Es war nicht die Intention des Kommentators, für die Deutschen zu kommen (welche denn überhaupt? Die Kommentatoren des Videos, die Reporter? Andere Deutsche gibt es in diesem Fall nicht), sondern für das Deutsch des Engländers Christopher Lee, welches er gesprochen hören wollte.
      Ja, ich habe den Satz eigenständig versucht, zu übersetzen und ich glaube, es ist mir gelungen. Leider ist mein Englisch zu schlecht, als das ich das von mir Geschriebene vernünftig ins Englische übertragen könnte, ansonsten würde ich noch verlacht, weshalb ich auf Deutsch antworte.
      Aber eines möchte ich noch beitragen und zwar, warum ich denke, es eher nicht "Ich kam wegen der Deutschen" heißen kann, da hierfür wohl die Pluralform "Germans" vonnöten wäre, die aber im Ausgangssatz nicht vorlag, weshalb es Singular sein müsste.
      "Ich kam wegen der Deutschen" should formulated (I came for the Germans), but I could also wrong, my English isnt the best actual.
      But maybe it possible, that "wegen" is a correct translation for "for".
      In that case, it could formulated "Ich kam wegen des Deutsch(s) (Duden)". That is also a good Translation.
      But i think, both are possible.

      Und ich dachte, er kam deswegen, weil er es sich eben nicht vorstellen konnte, dass ein prominenter Engländer einfach mal Deutsch sprechen kann. Zumindest schaue ich mir ein Video an, wegen des Inhalts und manchmal leider auch wegen des Titels, aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass man nur wegen der Kommentare anonymer Zeitgenossen ein Video aufruft.
      Und ich finde, gerade der zweite Satz, mit der von Lee gesprochenen Weisheit, deutet irgendwie darauf hin, dass er, als er den Kommentar verfasste, vor allem wegen des Kuriosums des deutschsprechenden Lees dieses Video anklickte und wohl auch genoss. Denn die meisten der Kommentare, gerade die, welche viele Likes haben, sind doch eher wenig von Weisheit durchzogen, um nicht zusagen, entbehrlich und unsinnig.

    As a german I must say, his german is actually really good. Its not easy for not native speakers and his is really good.
    Also, I like how humble he was while speaking about movies he was in. He was an incredibly talented actor and still is so humble. What a great guy. One of the actors I really miss. RIP

    A humble man "I wasn't succ the film's were successful. I was lucky, very lucky". Such an example, wow. We could all learn a thing or two of humility and being humble. A great actor recognizes the franchise's and stories he gets to be apart of and his role in them and that it's an honor for him to do so. What a great man he was, wish I could have met him.     It's so weird. For me as a german he seems to have almost to none accent when he talks german. In the german dubbing of "The Last Unicorn" he even dubbed himself in german.

      Das ist leider für viele Menschen ein Grund daß sie sich nicht in fremden Sprachen zu sprechen wagen. Natürlich macht jeder Mensch Fehler. Daraus lernt man. Kein Grund auf dem "spokes" herumzureiten. Jedenfalls kapierte sogar der letzte Depp was ausgedrückt werden sollte. Dafür wurden die Sprachen entwickelt. Nicht für die Grammatik oder fehlerfreie Deklination.
