- Another New Emotion Will Appear At The End Of Inside Out 2?!
The main protagonist in Inside Out is Joy. She’s the outgoing, optimistic, and determined leader of the other emotions, who does everything she can to ensure that Riley will always end up safe, happy, and content. Throughout the first film, she has to learn the importance of accepting other emotions, especially those that seem to counteract her achievements. With the release of Inside Out 2’s trailer, it seems the sequel will follow the same themes, with Riley’s new emotions needing to learn the same lesson. Interestingly, the four new emotions could directly oppose one of the five Riley has had since childhood. However, with nine emotions in Headquarters, there’s an imbalance occurring in Riley’s mind. At first glance, Joy is the only emotion without a new counterpart. In today’s video, we’re discussing potential emotions that could appear to counteract Joy.

The problem I'm having with these theories is that they presuppose that a tenth emotion needs to be ANOTHER negative one. Look at the new core, with nine instead of the five. Only one of them, Joy, is a positive emotion. I would love it if Pixar could give this poor girl a break and give her another positive emotion, like love or hope or (the good kind of) pride.
Acceptance would be cool
Love or Calmness
Wdym acceptance @@Walnut64 they meant pride as in being proud not being like gay. Is it not clear? 🫣😮💨
@@blossommonkeygirl9275 I’m bringing a new idea. Acceptance would be cool as it could be gained at the end when Riley accepts herself for who she is. Also I’m gay so…
boredom isn't really a negative
Joy is actually one of the antagonists of inside out. She does that by being in charge and trying to take control when really Riley needs sadness, cuz all good memories turn sad eventually
That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard

My Brother in christ, THATS THE WHOLE FRICKING LESSON OF THE FIRST MOVIE, JOY LEARNING THAT RILEY NEEDS TO BE SAD TO BE ABLE TO BE HAPPY.
She was essentially both the protagonist and the antagonist…in a weird way.
Pretty sure it's the opposite of that. I think Joy realizes Why sadness is necessary . She needed to have previously been Sad to actually feel and understand Joyful moments (even the core memories) when Joy rewatches them she sees where before she made her happy she was sad right beforehand (ex. When she lost the game winning goal)
Actually I think you'll be based off the six stages of brief depression joy is happy and cheerful while depression's grooming sort of something like sadness but very not it'd be the opposite of joy
Joy could also become a representation of denial and the need to pretend everything is fine when it actually isn't.
Putting on a smile and masking the pain. faking joy and happiness
Joy in the first movie was so desperate for Riley to constantly be happy even when riley shouldn't have been, the emotion centre shut down and Riley's emotions all switched off nothing they did worked on Riley until sadness was finally allowed to step up
I can see the black emotion on the thumbnail being depression XD
Take that depression

The teddy bear she holds invokes the idea of childhood. Could also be nostalgia
For some reason I thought EMO. but then i saw the teddy bear and then I thought maybe it was shyness
I was thinking it could be Loneliness.....
I think we've already met the last emotion, sort of. There's an evil laugh at the end of the first trailer which doesn't match any of the emotions we've seen thus far.
Maybe it might match them later…we don’t know for sure
I assumed the evil laugh was apart of the song because it happens at the beginning of the song and at the end
Its anxiety
Why does it feel like all of these options are just facets of Sadness?
That's part of my problem with the new emotions; they're just extensions of the original emotions. Anxiety is an extension of Fear, and Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui are all extensions of Disgust. For context, embarrassment is basically disgust towards one's self, Ennui (from what I can gather) is disgust with the world, and Evy is somewhere in between; disgusted toward the people who have something, and disgusted toward the self for not having it.
i think its supposed to be fear and anxiety, disgust and ennui, anger and envy, and sadness and embarrassment
In which case, joy and mischief????😜
I'm not serious because I doubt the creators would go for that. But it would be positive and would be fun.
I love that they are intense negative emotions but could be used for good like sadness but I think gloom is it cause he is the perfect antagonist
It's just a Disney movie, don't overthink it.
You are right
I think that emotions being "opposite" doesn't make sense. Saying something like Joy and Sadness are opposites isn't inherently true because that puts it on a binary spectrum, but emotions are anything BUT binary.
Possible emotions to me are like Peace/Serenity, Obsession/Need or Love/Admiration, rather than just specific feelings of sadness.

Probably emo
@@Aden-worldnah I thought depression
@@J0s13theTherian maybe nostalgia?
@@J0s13theTherian yeah it' gonna depression you are right

That ominous laugh at the end of the trailer was a clear sign of a villain who will counteract the other emotions
Or their isn't a tenth emotion and nine is enough
LOL LITERALLY
The new added emotion that is going to appear is "Nostalgia". Not really spoiling but it is actually the emotion that is going to appear somewhere near the end of the movie. The old emotions might be able to meet Nostalgia somewhere in 'long term' memory and could team up while returning to headquarters to stop Anxiety and the new emotions from taking over Riley's mind. Anxiety IS approximately an antagonist, So if Anxiety kicked the emotions out of headquarters and might somehow get too far, She could get a sacrifice, but i'm guessing for Envy, Ennui & Embarrassment may think that Anxiety has gone a bit too far and decided to make it up to the old emotions by helping them get inside headquarters and apologize for what they've done. As in the other hand, I've seen a concept art that looked like Gloom, but a dark shadowing emotion. Depression was already shown in the 1st movie, when the console started to turn gray when Riley was running way. I have a prediction that Gloom may be worse, if Anxiety put something in the console, like Anger did, it could be a disaster and start to corrupt. So it's why Joy, Nostalgia and the other emotions have to stop the new emotions from doing something horrible to Riley, which in case, if Nostalgia and Joy competes them at the end, The new emotions may realize that bottling them up was a sudden mistake, and Nostalgia, could teach them how emotions taking turns could actually work and stuff
sorry if its a bit long but its my whole prediction with whats eventually going to happen and the emotions that are going to appear after Envy, Anxiety, Ennui, Embarrassment. may turn out Anxiety is actually one antagonist and I doubt Joy was in the first movie

5:24 To be honest broccoli on pizza actually tastes good
It could be depression... But i think it might be Disappointment
Since I liked inside out,,,I’m thinking this will happen sometimes (probably in a future)
I feel like it could possibly be love
Grief is necessary negativity. Also I actually like the editing and visuals you used, the fake black controller looked good
I'm still a little annoyed that surprise isn't a main emotion, since it is one of the basic six in psychology. But oh well, it probably didn't translate to the screen well.
I'd like it if it were a positive emotion. Peace, mischief, attraction (though this one might get them in hot water), stuff like that. All the rest are negative. Though anxiety and excitement are actually the same feeling (research it if you don't believe me).
Like hope and assertiveness and confidence, thet need to give her positive emotions. And when she meets Howie and his friends, they need to give her love.
The fact that I was watching inside out when the inside 2 movie came on😅😅😅😅😅
Joy does NOT need a counterpart, you've said it yourself, she is the main protangonist.
Honestly, I really like the gloom villain. I hope they use it.
i love sadness
We have to watch the movie first to see if these things are true
Ok so times I think these are sorta fake 😬right?
Who said that joy's counterpart has to be negative. How bout a positive emotion, like LOVE for example...
the new emotion should be curious
I like but one question why is joy the only emotion glowing
I'm guessing loneliness or emptiness, teddy for me indicates vulnerability.
I have the same emojis in my head. Only when I watch inside out 1.
Is love
There was a lonely girl with black hair with a striped shirt and holding a black teddy bear. I don’t know if that emotion was the last one or not. I solved her in the thumbnail, but who is that emoji
New emotion:emo emotion💀👩🎤🦹♀️🧟♀️
Emo bc of the thumbnail
I keep guessing lust, lol.
Depression will be perfect match joy
Gloom was never in the final cut of the first movie he don't count.
