i treid to click run but i get this message always :Undefined function or variable 'mosfet' the both files are in the same folder why matlab cant run the simulation like u did

If you want to model a transistor/mosfet with their real model, then the characteristics curve will play a role. That is how it plays a role. I don't understand your second question. in reality the D-S voltage and current depends on the circuit that the transistor is connected to and if there is dynamic in the circuit, the relative of D-S voltage and current changes with time. Therefore how transistor current and voltage are related become part of the circuit behavior. The current controlled voltage source here is to show this relation at any working point.

The example is now (1Q22) called "ee_mosfet". Your explanation of how to do this is much clearer than looking at the MathWorks code. Carry on.
