Hey guys, just letting you know I've made some guides for legacy characters. They may be helpful to those moving forward. Mitsurugi: ua-cam.com/video/-1_W90QZlBs/v-deo.html Siegfried: ua-cam.com/video/8ASPdt6sy0s/v-deo.html
As another longtime Soul Calibur player On Ring out Matchups Nightmare is a ring out king. Knightmares can easily ring you out by accident even. Don't fight a Knightmare next to a ledge. As a KN player, I annoyed my brothers to no end. Same goes for Seigfried. With their low grabs and horizontal swings, you are never safe if you're close to the edge. Bring the fight back to the center or ring them out first. Raphael has a nasty ring out grab as well. Never let the cliff sit directly behind you. Move. Cervantes and Talim can easily ring out themselves by accident with certain moves. Kilik is a great starter character. He's very strong in range, speed, and power. Don't be a button masher, but if you must... Maxi or Talim. Keep your fastest move in mind for when you get stuck blocking a relentless assault. A quick jab can break the siege and put you on the offensive. You can absolutely beat down someone stuck on the floor. Press your advantage On the flip side, fastest way to get up is to press guard. Don't be afraid to try and roll or attack either. Make a judgement and execute. I know this message is late, but welcome to Soul Calibur, friends. May this tale of souls and swords be eternally retold.
Are moves from this SC the same as 4 and 5? Was looking to practice because it’s been about 2-3 years since I’ve played 5 but I’ve sold all my consoles and only have PC
I still got Soul Edge/Soul Blade, Soulcalibur 2, 3, & 4! It's a great series that really needed a new jolt of life after the Subpar SC5 and the Awful Frankenstein Creation known as Soul Calibur: Lost Swords!
Subbed, how you do videos on SC6 when its out. Also you said SC os better on a pad? I use stick for Tekken and just bought SC2 to prepare myself for SC6. Is SC more suited to pad?
It is and it isn't. What you more want to know is "Can I move before this guy" and plan out accordingly. But learning frame data fully will let you set up dozens of plays with a character and become a frametrap/punish machine.
I was looking for it but couldn't find it cuz tekken is the only fighting game i been playing since Tekken 2, now i see soul calibur 6 it looks stunning and def i m buying it.
Soul Calibur is a game of a delicate balance. Everything has a counter to it and a timing required to do so. The key to beating a spammer is simple. Learn how to nullify what they are spamming and end them. I feel your pain though, we all were there once

Shoutouts to the FFXII soundtrack in the background.
In Soul Calibur 1, you can bait your opponent into doing a Guard Impact then canceling the attack by pressing G. MOST BROKEN BAIT IN SOUL CALIBUR!

Is there a SC2 active community or did everyone just went on SC6
I really appreciate this is there anymore videos explaining this game?
Some of your information is slightly off. But overall this is not a bad beginner guide. Nice job.
Is frame data big deal like it is for tekken? Like on hit I’m +5 and now I have the advantage
It is and it isn't.

sc4 you can Just GI grabs, but not normal GI them
I thought virtua fighter was the first fighting game to have 8 way movement?
Quick question, i'll be usefull play Tekken 7 as practice wile we wait for scvi?
You should fire up Soul Calibur 2 if you can, there's guides on how to make it happen on PC and it's well worth the practice.
air control? you mean DI Baybeeeeeeeee
Ian smash I see you!
Thanks for the good explanation mate, and try to make a new clip "Tekken players learning soul calibur "
This is a fantastic idea I will totally do
I was looking for it but couldn't find it cuz tekken is the only fighting game i been playing since Tekken 2, now i see soul calibur 6 it looks stunning and def i m buying it.
Who's here because they're tired of losing to spammers on the beta?

Spamming isn’t a thing, it’s called zoning.
I appreciate this video, I really do, but man your diction needs some work. It's very difficult to understand what you're saying at times.
It's one of my many shortcomings, I know.
Im the 100th like
