Finally first video for rear speaker here I think 🙏 Had about same idea for this and not I got some inspiration when I going to change the rear speakers 🤘 Not really feels good to undo all rivets.
Yeah I was surprised I didn't see any videos about it too. Agree, I didn't want to do those rivets on the door, I would leave the speaker disconnected over removing the rivets 😅
Amazing and unique video bro , I have Mercedes s class w221 , all speakers are blown , the rear speaker are the same as the front . Is this aftermarket speaker best fit ?? Does it over heat the Amp ? Best Wattage ? 8 ohm or 4 ohm ?
Thanks man. Sorry but I'm not an expert in sound systems so when I came to buy the speakers my only requirement was the size (6.5" for this car) and the speaker type (midrange). I got this brand of speakers because it had really good price + shipping and so far I'm very happy with how they sound and to be honest I never heard of this brand before. They were not 100% prefect fit, a few mm oversize but it wasn't an issue. I don't know if they heat up the Amp. 8 ohm or 4 ohm ? No idea what is better, I just got the 8 ohm.
@@ZakiGarage yess broo I’m not an expert too , but while I’m searching I find out that 4 ohm speakers maybe will heat up Amp , 8 ohm speakers like yours are better .
Just putting the old tweeter back on, I dont think I filmed removing it coz it just fell out removing the door cover. I don't know if it connects to a crossover but i think you can find replacements for tweeters on aliexpress that uses the same connector if that's what you are looking for. I don't think these cars come with a co-ax speaker, the factory speaker is a mid-range and so is the replacement I installed.
I've ordered DS18 for my e350 with some sound deadning material, I hope it goes well. My OEM speakers are completely blown out or dead and only one is working lol
@@ZakiGarage Yessir, I just got them installed and they are worth it, its a huge change that I felt. DS18 does work and so I was worried about the bigger magnet on the speakers back but they fit perfectly fine.
@@saadkamran7 Good to know they work well . Just ordered new speakers last week, thought of the DS18 since you mentioned them but got the cheaper RECOIL. Surprised that the Skars went from 47$ for pair when I got them for the vid to 145$ now.
@@ZakiGarage Oh yess, I heard lot of good reviews about Skars and they are better than DS18, their bass and sound is truly amazing in the comparison videos, which one did u ordered?
The easier way is not to remove the rivets, just cut the speaker casing behind the speaker and solder a new wire for the new speaker..use some screw to hold the new speaker..I think this will make the job easier...just my 2 cents..😁
Hi I also changed in my W212. I want to ask about polarity. The polarity of the new speaker I know. I want know polarity od car radio (amplifier) in your case Yellow Cable is minus and red plus (in connector) thanks for answer
If you go to 3:37 the right terminal in the video is (+) and left (-) for both the old and new speaker. So I think I used yellow for (+) and red for (-).
I got Skar Audio, first time trying them out and they sound ok, nothing mindblowing www.amazon.com/Skar-Audio-FSX65-8-Mid-Range-Loudspeakers/dp/B07KW8R34W/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=%282%29+Skar+Audio+FSX65-8+300-Watt+6.5-Inch+8+Ohm+MID-Range+Loudspeakers+-+2+Speakers&qid=1605897739&sr=8-1
Never heard of those brand of speakers. I'm not familiar with any of the brands currently on the market. I was actually looking for speakers from one of the old companies I knew sony, kenwood, JBL, pioneer but didn't find anything.
Great and clear video, I wish more were like this one. No incessant yakking and thank God no background technopop noise.
Well done.
Thanks! Much appreciated🙏.
Great video! this literally saved me a $1000, which is what MB dealer wanted to charge me to replace the speaker.
Wow had no idea the dealer takes that much 😱, glad the video helped.

Super, efficace, rien de superflu. Pas de bavardage stérile. Bravo. Continuez.
You lost me after "Super" 😅 but thanks 🙏
Thank you 🙏
This guy in the commercial obviously got where he is by being a good listener. I mean, look at them ears !

@@abedsaad640 Very good to know 👍, I'll have to look into that.
And what about tweeters? How to replace them? Is the new crossover needed to be installed or is the tweeter connection already separated from the mid?
I never changed the tweeters, but I think there are plug and play tweeters sold out there.
6:31 Are you using old tweeter or new? is that connected with any crossover? local dealer suggests co-ax speaker and I am confused

Do you have a video on replacing the rear deck speakers?
I don't think my car has speakers in the back

Thx but sorry I'm not a certified mechanic, I just work on my cars as a hobby. Plus, its very unlikely we live in the same country.
