I seem to remember reading somewhere that at some point in the Fed/Kingon conflict, D-7 started traving in threes because Connies had so outclass a single D-7 that only with three could they hope to out class it. It was also the reason the Romulan Empire decided to negotiate Klingon ships for cloaking technology. While I could not tell you which ST novel explained this other than it was on published back in the 80s. Meaning it's not canon but it did make a lot of sense at the time. On STO, when you play TOS, you relive the moment the Klingons flip the script on Star Fleet and the Feds.

I was just watching that DS9 episode a few days ago. The Defiant should uncloak and take out the Klingons. I loved the part where they asked Worf why they didn't have ridges on their heads, and he told them, "It's a long story." It's a very long story, but to sum it up, they tried (and failed) to make themselves "augments" (like Khan). It made them lose their ridges for a while.
Another great video! Am I the only one who was kind of surprised how weak the station shields and weapons were? I mean, it makes sense because in the original series seem like the enterprise was always coming up to stations that were blown the smithereens. I would just think Starfleet would do a better job of making sure they were “well defended”
Did you know that someone involved in the original series dropped and broke the Romulan bird of prey model, so they built the D7, and that was the the excuse we never saw the Romulan bird of prey again, and funnily enough the Klingon bird of prey, first seen I n the search for Spock was originally meant to be a Romulan ship.

They kept dividing their fire rather than concentrating on one ship at a time. If the Klingon ships are coming in hot the base phasers can hit them long before they get within range. Their power diminishes at range so they wouldn’t be able to take them out but their shields would be significantly weaker within range and taking more than they were dishing out. Granted, it’s a fictional video game loosely based on a fictional show so you got double times the not reality happening but also a Constitution class ship is firing weapons in reverse? Not a thing even in the shows. Granted, it’s stupid they didn’t at least have aft firing phasers but that was the design which they changed for the movies ofc
Reverse engineered by Section 31and installed on the Diemos Class no doubt. Should have gave it to the TOS style Defiant along with the experimental quantums.

Judging by this....nope I don't think they'd be able to take out the station and the Enterprise especially with just one. LOL at the screw up clip. Yeah Starfleet ships were more powerful than Klingon ships in the 23rd Century. Especially one on one. Romulans were more devastating because of their plasma torpedoes. So did the Romulans give the Klingons cloaking tech or was it the other way around? I agree Sisko would have gone ballistic and destroy the Klingons. Hell maybe would have taken out the entire Klingon empire. I mean a 24th Century battleship like the Defiant versus 23rd century Klingon D7's? Absolutely no contest. Especially if Sisko was able to find a way to fire while cloaked. Hey a match up REQUEST: let's do that as a next match up. Put the DS9 Defiant up against a like 5 or 6 Klingon D7's. I'd like to see what would happen with that match up.
Apparently the Romulans gave the Klingons 4 cloaking devices. Wow, you're right, it probably could have taken out the whole Klingon Empire. I'll add your idea to the list and try and throw some other Klingon Time Relevant ships of there are any in 🖖

This is not even remotely a fair fight for the Klingons. The Constitution Class alone can comfortably take on 4-6 D7s according to Kirk and Sulu.
