I really like these types of videos Kyle. I hope you come back with videos like this for the future. Anyway, I am sure why a lot of those vehicles, like that Chrysler PT Cruiser, are in the backlot area of a car dealership is that either these vehicles had been recently traded in, bought at an auto auction, or were extra inventory for this car dealership.
In my opinion, this generation of F series trucks were the best Ford ever made. I just traded off my 2006 F-150 for a 2012 Chevy Impala. The wheels were beginning to fall off. Power steering was going out, needed a new fuel pump, oxygen sensor, it leaked oil, the transmission slipped, just an assortment of premature mechanical failures. It was a $42,000 piece of junk. I'm very happy with my new purchase.
The Ford is actually an f250 believe it or not. They made a heavy duty version with a 7 lug. They made it from 1997-1998 to replace the OBS. Then the new designed f250 or superduty in 1999-2004
I've always liked the PT Cruisse...especially when they refreshed the front end around 2008 and 2009 My friend had one and I loved driving it. Only down side was the sub par handling in the snow.
@saabkyle04 It was a 250. They made a light duty F250 for the 97 98 model years until the Super Duty series came out. The light duty F250 then became the F150 7700 GVW.
the F-250 has more than 8 times the mileage of the PT Cruiser and the engine sounds like it's in better running condition....engine sounds great for the amount of miles
the late 90's, early 00's ford/lincoln SUV's and trucks sound the same. My dad has an expedition and hearing that engine roar brings back good memories
At the shop I work at, we had an 02 Silverado come in with almost 600,000 miles on it. We put in a new motor but I'm sure the old one would be running like a champ, but I guess the owner liked to use water instead of oil for their oil changes lol. When we drained the fluids, they were all mostly water...
@saabkyle04 That is incorrect. Actually a pretty rare truck, Ford made a few F-150s that were sold as F-250s. I mean they used the F-150 body. But it had the heavy duty suspension,, 8 lug wheels, ect ect. That is an F-250
@stopscrewingaround11 Actually Ford did make F250s with that body style occasionally between 1997 and 1999. I don't quite understand why, but they did, lol.
@stopscrewingaround11 actually they made lots of these.... f250 in 150 sheetmetal. wikipedia says that its basically the same truck just with "heavy duty axles and suspension, along with 7 lug wheels. Additionally, the F-250 Light Duty also offered a load leveling rear suspension system." the 350+ were not available in these years. which is why i believe you see lots of E350 and E450's
I usually see digital dashboards on the Grand Marquis, but this one and a Grand Marquis I've been looking at in my area are some that have standard dashboards.
@saabkyle04 Kyle.. No that is a f250, in 1997 Ford didnt have a new body style for the f250 to replace the previos verison, so they basicly beefed up the 97 F150 to a F250 used the frame from a 96 F250 and the body of a 97F150, but here is a EASY way to find out what year modle it is, if you look at the exhasut pipe and if it is front of the right rear tire you will know its a 97 by that and look at the gauge cluster.
Ford was still making the OBS through '97, and the '99 Super Duties began rolling off the assembly line by spring '98. If you ask me, that is exactly what Ford should've done for the current generation of Super Duty. Seeing how the '23's weren't showing up at dealerships until April of last year, it would've been more appropriate for Ford to skip over the '23 model year and skip right to '24. Or considering how people were still taking delivery of their ordered '22's in February of last year, those vehicles could've been branded as '23 models.
Why is everyone fixated on a gasoline engine it's not going to hurt it if it's low on fuel you should be more worried about a diesel engine can be a bitch to bleed the air out of the system you cannot start a diesel once air enters the system no matter how many times you turn the engine over or to run the fuel pump gasoline engine.... allow the fuel pump to run a few times and guess what it'll start
@stopscrewingaround11 -- That is an F250. It's just not a Heavy Duty model. Like @dasbig said, you can tell by the 7 lug pattern on the wheels. Kyle, you were actually correct.
Hey, Kyle, the Beetle Sport Edition is the one with the preferred pack "partially dismantled interior trim", or is that its previous owner was the manson family? Just kiddin', mate! Greetings from La Coruna, Spain, and keep on testing!
@2008PowerStrokeF450 Correct sir. if i remember they hadnt made a choice on the new body yet and they rolled out the superduty in 2000 as a 2001 correct?
No, it's a 1.8 turbo 4 cylinder 20valve turbo with 150 horsepower, with of course 5 valves per cylinder, same engine that in the passat or in the golf gti back in Europe from 98 to 2003 ...
@orbitofdoom16 And the "F-250" was later changed to the F150 7700. ive seen a few but there rare.. i have a friend that still has a 97 f250 damn good truck
@4literpowered its not it IS in fact a 250 if you look they ride just a bit higher than the 150. my cuz had a lariat just like it but maroon. refer to other comments
Oh wow at 0:40 a built in key holder!! Oh how neat! I MUST get one! Where can I find one of those? for anyone that's about to reply to me and call me names...that was a joke.....
@@sofiaalmanza8209 I think its because of how loud it is. btw do you think the old Chrysler chime sounds like a censor beep? it's like the car is cussing at you XD
@datboiwes3 yes, I've had customers ask me on a PT, Intrepid and a Concorde if I could change the battery out for them, I tell them no Im sorry, they get mad but I don't care.
On the PT Cruiser, I ain't never gonna change the battery on that thing, I've had a few customers ask me to change it out, now I know not to. On the F250 that thing got a lot of miles, sounds good though, I personally don;t like Fords. On the VW look like that thing needs to be taken out back and shot. On the Mercury notta bad lookin ride. Good vid
I have no idea why some of them bring it back like people bring back your cars because they’re low on fuel like get more fuel that’s it they should only bring it there if it’s useless
My dad had to use one for a rental and it was GARBAGE. The entire chassis shook and the body rattled because it was cheap plastic. They're worthless and should never have been built. After the first 1-2 years of production, they started disappearing from the roads very quickly.
I really like these types of videos Kyle. I hope you come back with videos like this for the future. Anyway, I am sure why a lot of those vehicles, like that Chrysler PT Cruiser, are in the backlot area of a car dealership is that either these vehicles had been recently traded in, bought at an auto auction, or were extra inventory for this car dealership.
that F-250 engine sounds great
In my opinion, this generation of F series trucks were the best Ford ever made. I just traded off my 2006 F-150 for a 2012 Chevy Impala. The wheels were beginning to fall off. The PT Cruiser was a rental, or fleet vehicle. You could see the no smoking sticker on dashboard...
Jay Morseman And it's one of the worst cars ever made.
Lg
man that f-series is boss. that generation of ford trucks were really reliable. got a 99 expedition eb with 230,000 miles and still running strong!
The Ford is actually an f250 believe it or not. They made a heavy duty version with a 7 lug. They made it from 1997-1998 to replace the OBS. Then the new designed f250 or superduty in 1999-2004
cjs714 yea it says f250 he doesn't know that lol
cjs714 and then he says f250
Yeah I call them f250 light dutys
He said 250 in the video. He accidentally said 150 in the title
I've always liked the PT Cruisse...especially when they refreshed the front end around 2008 and 2009
My friend had one and I loved driving it. Only down side was the sub par handling in the snow.
BRING THIS SERIES BACK!
Kyle that is an F250, a light duty version. I see a few every now and then
@saabkyle04 It was a 250. They made a light duty F250 for the 97 98 model years until the Super Duty series came out. The light duty F250 then became the F150 7700 GVW.
The 10th gen F-150 ran all the way from 1997-03, and half-way through '04 as the F-150 Heritage.
Great video as always! You don't see too many of those particular body style F250s around, but I personally think they're cool!
the F-250 has more than 8 times the mileage of the PT Cruiser and the engine sounds like it's in better running condition....engine sounds great for the amount of miles
Honestly for a 1-year-old car at the time that PT Cruiser sounded like fucking garbage
@stopscrewingaround11 you're wrong, they made an f-250 in f-150 body style. look at the differences in the suspension
Love that Ford F-150
the late 90's, early 00's ford/lincoln SUV's and trucks sound the same. My dad has an expedition and hearing that engine roar brings back good memories

I question how they even got to 100,000 with water LOL.
Thats an F250 light duty. They were only made for about 2 years in the late 90s.
@saabkyle04 That is incorrect. Actually a pretty rare truck, Ford made a few F-150s that were sold as F-250s. I mean they used the F-150 body. But it had the heavy duty suspension,, 8 lug wheels, ect ect. That is an F-250
i love these backlot videos
wow! 4 for 4 on a Back-Lot Dealership video!! not bad!
I love all the cars
2:33 gotta love that ford reliability
MegaThunder70 my 05 escape was a very strong car it had 230,000 miles when it died
MegaThunder70 those duratec v6 motors are amazing
Yaa
xXTXMONEYX x that Ford is pretty mint for over 200 K miles
Over 200k miles and still running like a T-rex
@stopscrewingaround11 Actually Ford did make F250s with that body style occasionally between 1997 and 1999. I don't quite understand why, but they did, lol.
I like the f-250 buzzer
1998 FORD F150, they were definitely into the "bubble oval tech" at that time.
The turbo Beetle is quite rare and expensive
I usually see digital dashboards on the Grand Marquis, but this one and a Grand Marquis I've been looking at in my area are some that have standard dashboards.
Capt421 also has one like that one.
The Starlight Prince yea
@saabkyle04 Kyle.. @2008PowerStrokeF450 And after the F250 LD it was called the F150 7700
It is an F250. The ride is higher as well a minor detail in the body.
Gotta love that grand maquis.
@stopscrewingaround11 it doesnt make a diffrence anyways if it was a f150 or f250 that gas engines are still the same
Hi Kyle, great videos buddy, however I noticed many of the cars are supper low on Gas.
They probably Drained them before they put them in the back
Why is everyone fixated on a gasoline engine it's not going to hurt it if it's low on fuel you should be more worried about a diesel engine can be a bitch to bleed the air out of the system you cannot start a diesel once air enters the system no matter how many times you turn the engine over or to run the fuel pump gasoline engine.... allow the fuel pump to run a few times and guess what it'll start
That is a ford F-250! youre right to begin with. Ford made the 250 in the 150 body style for a short time during 1999
@stopscrewingaround11 -- That is an F250. It's just not a Heavy Duty model. Like @dasbig said, you can tell by the 7 lug pattern on the wheels. Kyle, you were actually correct.
Love it, another great vid Kyle!
when I was 9 years old my dad had a silver 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser and it was his rental car when his 99 Grand Prix needed a new engine
I'm guessing the PT cruiser used to be a rental since it has a no smoking sticker...??? And yes that is an f-250 "stopscrewingaround11"...
That F-250 really is a F-250. For 97 and 98 the base F-250 used the same body as the F-150.
@2008PowerStrokeF450 Its actually 8 lug, Ford liked 7 lug wheel covers. But after 2004, until 2009 you could get an actual 7 lug F150
is there something wrong with the backlot vehicles? or are they just not ready to be sold?
the pt cruiser looks like its in good shape
My friend has a light blue 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis and he bought from some old guy and the car has a 109,000 miles on it
No, it's a 1.8 turbo 4 cylinder 20valve turbo with 150 horsepower, with of course 5 valves per cylinder, same engine that in the passat or in the golf gti back in Europe from 98 to 2003 ...
@orbitofdoom16 And the "F-250" was later changed to the F150 7700. ive seen a few but there rare.. i have a friend that still has a 97 f250 damn good truck
@stopscrewingaround11 it was a light duty F250. Do your research
Why was the pt there. It seems like it is in such good condition
How many of those were old rental cars? Saw a bunch of National/Alamo/Enterprise stickers
PT Cruiser is my Favorite Car!
its got the 7700 package which makes it a heavy half ton
@4literpowered its not it IS in fact a 250 if you look they ride just a bit higher than the 150. my cuz had a lariat just like it but maroon. refer to other comments
@0:31 that no smoking symbol means "I'm a rental car" lol
Nice videos
Built ford/mercury tough!!
Oh wow at 0:40 a built in key holder!! Oh how neat! I MUST get one! Where can I find one of those?

Haven't they had the Super Duty for a while before? I've seen the Super Duty's from the previous generation.
A 2009? In a backlot?
I used to own a 2001 Pt cruiser nice car expensive to maintain.
That Ford F-250 was made Before Ford introduced the Ford Super Duty series in 1999.
I don't like PT Cruisers, but the Ford, Beetle and GM were my favorite.
+Brian Lee how come you don't like the PT Cruiser
Maybe the shape. My mom thinks there ugly. I would rather have the convertible version.
Brad Meyer well I don't think the PT Cruisers aren't ugly and they are cool
+Brian Lee this year I'm gonna get a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser this year in 2017
I like the ford f250. U dont see to many of those 1997 f250's with that body style.
when this video was made the PT Cruiser was only a year old...WTF was it in a back lot for!?!?
cause its a PT loser why would you want one in the front of the dealership?
Yusefsdssdssswwssswwwwwswdwddfffrgyffhrsdffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffdfffdffddffffffiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Maybe no one wanted it ?
Hamilton Dashcammer a driver might have been killed in a crash
Brad Meyer why would anyone want a or cruiser anyway they suck
Chrysler PT Cruiser? 2009? 32K miles? and this video was made in 2010? oh come on
Aaaaand let's see how the pt sounds says no one ever
What could possibly be wrong be a pt cruiser that has only 32,000 miles on it?
It's a PT Cruiser?
+PlaylistHub you're right
It's a PT Cruiser
Cade Norwood its getting sold
You could go deaf from that Chrysler chime!
Lukas Productions how?
@@sofiaalmanza8209 I think its because of how loud it is. btw do you think the old Chrysler chime sounds like a censor beep? it's like the car is cussing at you XD
Make a EARRAPE version of it
the pt cruiser has a ford power mirror switch
0:05 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser
3:34 2002 Volkswagen Beetle
@datboiwes3 yes, I've had customers ask me on a PT, Intrepid and a Concorde if I could change the battery out for them, I tell them no Im sorry, they get mad but I don't care.
haha kyle it actually is an f250, the badge says so
That is an f250 look at the 8 lug rims ford did'nt change the body style untill sometime after 2000
On the PT Cruiser, I ain't never gonna change the battery on that thing, I've had a few customers ask me to change it out, now I know not to. On the F250 that thing got a lot of miles, sounds good though, I personally don;t like Fords. On the VW look like that thing needs to be taken out back and shot. On the Mercury notta bad lookin ride. Good vid
@saabkyle04 lots of these trucks had that exhaust from 1997-1998
if it's an F150 like you say it is... why is it badged as an F250?
I like the ford F150
20 Valve not volt. and yes its an 5 cylinder because of the 4 Valves per cylinder.
Now what the hell is that PT cruiser doing there?
Also check out wiki they have some info to it.
Why was the 2009 PT in the back lot?
I have no idea why some of them bring it back like people bring back your cars because they’re low on fuel like get more fuel that’s it they should only bring it there if it’s useless
2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring
1997 Ford F-150 XLT
2002 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo
1997 Mercury Grand Marquis
I like the F-150
@2008PowerStrokeF450 it may have been. i couldnt remember correctly.
Ahha you keep the keys in the visor
6:22 Nature Cat
a bug in the back lot?wow
Why is the PT cruiser considered junk yard material?
My dad had to use one for a rental and it was GARBAGE. The entire chassis shook and the body rattled because it was cheap plastic. They're worthless and should never have been built. After the first 1-2 years of production, they started disappearing from the roads very quickly.
Most dealerships throw cars they just got in for cleaning I think that's why it was their
this was before Ford Marketed the Super Duty Name to the level its at today.
the pt had a lot of miles then for year
a late model chrysler with 32k already junked.. no surprise there
It is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder.
Lol at the f250 it was like Vrooom I don't care what my speedometer says bitch!!!
The words "PT Cruiser" and "nice" should never be used in the same sentence.
Why do people hate the pt cruiser?
Like VW beetle
Where is this back lot?
