Dave Lombardo, unknown to many, sad because he is one the greatest metal drummers ever. and you making that little drum kit sound freaking huge, well done

Nah she very average I know guys who blow her out the water.....just because she is a girl she gets the simps... and what is with the ridiculous head bopping ?!
@CtrlAltDeleteLawz Entire kit could be sound replaced tho, so the discussion is kinda meaningless. As I'm mixing my band and my own drum recordings, I know for a fact it takes more than a good sounding drumkit and mics to make it sound good. If one doesn't hear this is processed and mixed, then one is pretty dam stup1d imho. Still a great cover tho.
First off, I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing this song. You sounded amazing Kristina! I'll never understand why Dave Lombardo kind of flew under the radar as a metal drummer that I think deserved a lot more recognition than he ever got. He's one of my absolute favorites
This is not as easy as she makes it look. The switch between fast and slow tempo is a hard thing to do without making it sound like you stop or miss a note. I like it.
When you understand what they do, you have more of an appreciation for the hard-working it takes to get here I love listening to her so much effort she puts in. Just like when you break down the ukulele playing of IZ and realize how he’s doing that iconic sound, and making it his own
“Musical mastery isn’t just about knowing what’s on the sheet music; it’s about bringing it to life, especially when it comes to tempo shifts that would trip up less seasoned players. It’s curious how some feel compelled to lecture about the ‘obvious’ as if it were a revelation. Perhaps the time spent on pointing out the rudimentary could be better used practicing those very basics, lest the only obvious thing becomes one’s own lack of understanding.”
Neither the video or the audio or a single take. It's a heavily comped audio track put together and perfectly assembled, followed by many video takes which are then perfectly comped and assembled.
@k03hl3r yep so many times when we see a camera splice, she has screwed up, then started again............ she has just edited it all to look like one take.
I’ve been following you for years and you have only made yourself stronger in every way. Your sense of style with fashion, drum set and technique all flow together. You are so pro you must be in demand from top talent!
This was truly VERY well played. I've seen too many Lombardo covers where drummers either overplay or underplay, or just can't get the groove right. I have to say that this was perhaps the best SOH cover I've heard anyone play! Not only do you have the groove right, but you make the drums sing like Lombardo does. Very impressive indeed! Please more Slayer covers!
I was trying to get down Paul Bostaph’s work on “Divine Intervention” back then, but a staple cover of mine was MA’s “God Of Emptiness” around the’95 era.
South of Heaven is my favorite album by Slayer, title track in particular and I know all the words to most of tunes on it. I've seen them 3 times in the 90s in Phoenix. You play this tune very well Kristina thanks!
GEEZUS!! Keep falling madly IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL!! She’s WICKED SICK!!! Seen SLAYER 8 times live, grew up listening and still jamming to their music.
I just wanted to say that you are truly an amazing gifted drummer that I've ever seen your hands are so fast and you make it look so easy and you are so incredible at what you do it just blows my mind . You see three and a half years ago I was hit at 125 mph head-on and died twice and well let's just say I'm disabled right now and I used to play drums I have a drum kit but I can't play like I used to so when I see somebody play I kind of envision myself through you because I used to do it I used to be in a metal band a long time. Unfortunately because the accident I had I also lost 30 years of my life and and the guy that hit me wanted to commit suicide so I was unlucky person. A lot of injuries are a lot so I'll try to be Swift I broke both my legs, both my knee, have shattered my left arm, crack my collarbone, completely, got a concussion, broke my nose twice, more scars and scrapes and you can imagine I was in a coma for 10 days and I died twice. And before that unfortunately on December 25th 2012 my mom had a stroke and then a month later she died and then I lost the rest of my family and then I had the accident that changed my life completely. So I want to let you know that you are an inspiration to me for what you do because you truly are gifted and talented and I love that you have fun and enjoy what you do because a lot of people forget that. When people get famous they forget that there's fun involved it's not just money it's fun and you're having a blast and I can tell and I just hope to God that you don't get you know turn to the dark side so to speak or become one of these people that forget that to have fun and enjoy yourself and enjoy the fans . Anyway the request I have I wish you could play would be a song that was the first song I ever learned on playing drums and it was by a band called dokken and a song called Dream warriors. I believe you're from Russia because you have the accent which is actually very beautiful and by the way you are a beautiful young woman I didn't want you to forget that but I wanted to say more about your drumming than anything because you just blows me away how good you are and how talented and what you can do Im am here in the USA in a small town called New Milford PA 18834. And this town has been amazing to me they really helped me a lot with my accident and just a really beautiful town to be part of I also see that you have the aeroband drum sticks and I've been trying to get them to send me that forever but never happen. People seem to forget though if you're not a famous UA-camr anything you're still a person and you know it's not wrong to send somebody something to review I mean I have okay only 23 followers on here but I also post on Instagram and you know Facebook you know and I'm just not photogenic or good to be in front of a camera because the look . I mean since the accident I suffer from a thing called body dysmorphism which means you don't like the way you look because people make fun of me when I wear shorts all the time or when I wear short sleeve shirts and look at me and they say some pretty disturbing nasty things and I'm six foot seven so it doesn't make it easier to hide But anyway thank you for your videos my favorite video you did probably was after life which was you nailed that I mean it was incredible wow and your version of eye of the tiger absolutely love the double kick . so yeah that's it I hope you have a nice holiday I wish you the best success I definitely believe you deserve it because you worked damn hard for what you get and I just want you to forget to never have fun and enjoy what you do and enjoy the fans because without them you know it's not really nothing you had to perform in front off Take care and God bless and maybe you'll do Dream warriors for me one day .
Alright guys, I confess: I'm a huge simp for Kriss. Not just the most watchable female drummer on UA-cam, but the most watchable drummer, straight up (with all due respect to the alien El Estepario Siberiano). Not just easy on the eyes, but her expressions and how she gets super into it, along with the always on-point skill and the caramel-smooth tones of that kit...just always a pleasure to watch her covers. Keep it up, Kriss!! Hope you get a band -- would love to hear some originals!
I’ve known Dave for thirty plus years now and although his kit is and was much larger , he utilized many Toms in his Arsenal, he’d smile watching this I’m sure. I’d suggest investing in more pieces and expanding your kit. Ludwig’s were always my go to but Tama and Pearl are fan favorites. Spite this, you did a pretty good rendition on what you have. Dave is still teaching at campuses today from my last notification. Imo Dave is the greatest metal drummer of all time. His style is matched only by a few and up in the echelon of Neil Pert among very few others. Mimicking his work is a great feat I deed. So , good work.
Your drums tune and probably post-processing is so awesome that it gives more power to this metal masterpiece. You also nailed it exactly to the millisecond and played it very clean.
I think I speak for all Mexicans when I say : "SLAAAAAAYYYYYERRRRRRRR!" 🤘 You just inspired me to revisit South of Heaven. Keep on slaying on the drums young lady! Mad props! 🙏

UNKNOWN???? Dude.... Dave is a LEGEND. lol
Where were women like this in highschool and college? This is my favorite Slayer album.
DAMN this was good. You're always great, but I think you're getting better and better. Taking on Lombardo is no small task. Well done!
Да... Ломбардо крут. Непростая задача!)
I'd be more impressed with a Postmortem cover.🤘
Nah she very average I know guys who blow her out the water.....just because she is a girl she gets the simps... and what is with the ridiculous head bopping ?!

Your drums are tuned so well and sound so great

The combination of metal and girl power here is incredible. Awesome cover. Dave and everyone else in Slayer would be proud.
Wow that was super clean, Lombardo is not an easy drummer to replicate by any means, but you nailed this cover. Nicely done.
Slayer on a 4 Piece ? You killed it, Great job!!!...My new fav female Drummer.
All you need is a bass drum, double pedal, and a snare to play slayer . Estepario plays it with one hand lol
ok but Estepario is an alien! This girl is a great drummer too@@Behemoth66
Best Slayer song from their best album. Lombardos drumming and sound on the album always amazes me.
Reign in blood still my favourite since I first heard it as a teenager in 1989; relentless energy & atmospheric as fuck.
Yeah except for all the other better songs. Lol.

I was listening to this SO loud with headphones on and a volume booster. I think the first set of doubles made me deaf in my left ear.
Making that little kit sound like Dave's......... Incredible!!!
Amazing! Would love seeing more classic thrash covers, you obviously enjoy playing them ❤

haha this was my favorite drum cover to play when I was 15 in 1995. CLASSIC!
