I'm inclined to agree. From a molecular perspective it is definitely my favorite of the ones I've made, as for the color itself I think I like the cadmium red a bit more but this is a close second. Also, I figured out why it took so many attempts to get this process right, it was temperature. With organic compounds I tend to be too conservative with applying heat out of fear of decomposition, but with this particular process you really need to get it HOT.
@@integral_chemistry Yes, it's the best to use a bunsen burner. In contrast to cadmium, lead, chromates or arsenic compounds this pigment is quite safer to handle. Only phthalic anhydride is a strong allergen that must handled with care.
Yep! Titanium white and titanium dioxide should technically be the same thing. Titanium white could also contain a small amount of fillers though as "Titanium dioxide" would imply the pure chemical
Thank you so much! If you like the pigment videos I'm planning on remaking them all soon (plus a lot of new colors). My girlfriend has a paint muller (and actual painting talent) so hopefully the demo itself will be much more interesting
This is very very nice, congratulations ! Can you check if the phtalocyanine is fluorescent or phosphorescent ? Check using a Wood lamp on both pure and oil suspension.
I've been meaning to do that one 😊 I just gotta make another batch of the blue first which I haven't gotten around to, but I definitely intend on getting to that soon.
Very nice, I like this pigment more than all those you made before.

Hi! Is Titanium dioxide interchangeable with Titanium white in making Cerulean? Thank you

I love your content

@@integral_chemistry if I may, maybe you guys can make content together where you make the pigment and then she uses them to paint. Food for thought 😊
So cool! Do you have any bibliography or reference for the method you used?

Yeah I'll check it out when I get home and get back to you!
Still waiting for the check result 😂
Which catalyst can we use other than ammonium molybdate catalyst ?

Hello, I loved the detail you gave in the video. Can you also make a video about Copper Phthalocyanine Green pigment?
I've been meaning to do that one 😊 I just gotta make another batch of the blue first which I haven't gotten around to, but I definitely intend on getting to that soon.
@@integral_chemistry I'll be waiting for that video. Keep up the amazing work!
