You're a legend! Thank you for being so open an honest and vulnerable. I know this is going to have a BIG impact on people. You are tremendous. Can't wait to bring you back on to see where you're at 4 months from now!
Keep it up girl! You've got this 💪. Thank you for sharing your story🙏. Are you familiar with Dr. Brooke Goldner? If not check her out! Her hyper nourishment smoothies have done what some would call miracles for so many people! You can totally do the smoothies along with your plant based journey!
I don't recall any plant based influencer interviewing someone in the process of losing weight. Normally, it's only when the person has reached their weight goal. This is fantastic and motivationaL. Thank you!
I'm glad glad this was helpful! I like to talk to people at all stages of their journey. I've done at least two other interviews like this since if you want to look for them on our channel :)
What a lovely human she is. I felt so many feelings throughout this video. I’m so happy for where she is on her journey and I LOVE that you want to mentor her. The world needs more Krystal
I love this because I am on this journey myself to lose 125 lbs 31 down so far in a little over a year I am 64 years old. I make what I eat in a day videos to keep myself on track my video food journal I guess that’s what I’d call it. Most people don’t understand this way of eating and I love when I find like people on UA-cam.
I just started eating this way a month or so now and I feel I’m gaining not losing. Im not sure what I’m doing wrong. Im 66 and am wondering if it will even work for me.
@@pbwithjeremy I eat overnight oats for breakfast, a salad or a pasta with veggies for other meals. I do drink coffee once a day but use oat type creamer. Soups, stews. I do have rice off and on. My old ways tell me pasta and rice are keeping me fat so I try not to eat much of that. I also have to eat gluten free.
It sounds like your eating is solid and clean. But you find that your weight is going up? Perhaps when it comes to the pasta and rice make sure that only 1/4 of your plate is made up of that - 1/2 your plate should be vegetables and the other 1/4 can be protein/healthy fat. On top of this try to get a solid 30-60 minutes of activity into your day. Something you enjoy - even if it's just walking at the best pace you can.@@kymesue9575
You weren’t missing anything by not getting the surgery. I had it 17 years ago and “failed” at that! Lost about 65 pounds and over the years, regained about 50 of it. Plus, I needed a hernia surgery after 3 years when the stomach muscles split along the surgery line. And now I’m scheduled to get another huge hernia repair done in February 2024 due to it splitting open again! I’ve had small bowel obstruction due to the hernia as well. I wish I would have known about WFPB eating many years ago. Since July 2023 I’ve lost 20 pounds. Slow and steady wins the race. Krystal, you are so beautiful and a wonderful inspiration to the rest of us who have been in your shoes.
I think she touched at least one insecurity we all have. Thank you for sharing your story because we all have our insecurities and you story is very relatable and motivating.
What an adorable, young woman, and what a great interview! I wish Krystal all the very best, and I hope she does become a lawyer one day. I have no doubt that she will certainly achieve her health goals. 💕💕
I’m just starting this journey but it feels like I have found my food tribe! I love your channel the best because it makes me excited for the food possibilities. You have, imo, the most palatable and creative options. I never wanted additional appliances but now I want an all in on blender/milker/soup/ice cream maker I see myself in all of your guests and look forward to the next one.
Wow our stories are very similar! I definitely was that 9 year old little girl who was in weight watchers. It's funny she mentioned Richard Simmons sweatin to the oldies because I grew up exercising to that 😂 I'm so glad for this interview because I needed that inspiration again. I would love for her to be my accountability buddy because out here as a truck driver it's a lot more complicated for me and I want to be accountable to doing more UA-cam videos as well so maybe I can help her with that too. ❤
We can all help you be accountable here! If you're looking for more of that join our member's community over on Mighty Network -everyone is really lovely and supportive!
What a great interview Jeremy! I absolutely love your interviews and really relate to Krystal. I absolutely love the idea of interviewing more people who are still in the middle of their journey. Thank you for these amazing videos!
I love this girl already and I love who you are Jeremy…you are both so authentic and compassionate. I’m so happy Krystal didn’t end up having the surgery because it brought her to where she needed to be🙌 I experienced a time similar (not with food but I do have food issues as well). I was at a place in my life that I felt I had given life my best shot and it just wasn’t going to happen for me…so I can relate. That was many years ago and due to my greatest strength “perseverance” life just keeps getting better and better🙌 and food is (mostly) in its proper place. Being prepared with the right food on hand is key…I still slack in this area🤦♀️
Krystal, you are an amazing person. Such a beautiful young woman. Keep up doing what you're doing, you're an inspiration for us all. You're beautiful inside and out. ❤
Jeremy.... missed the interview with Krystal Goodson live, but just watched today while walking on the treadmill! What a great and inspiring interview! Helped to re- inspire me to keep going ! Thank you !!!!
Great interview, wishing Krystal all the best going forward, such a lovely person and glad she is doing so well and feeling better. Much love from the Balearic Islands, Spain ❤️
Thank you both for this amazing interview! Looking forward to following Krystal and seeing her story continue. Thank you for sharing your story congratulations on your journey so far wishing you all the continued success! Another great interview Jeremy absolutely love your channel. ❤
What a wonderful interview with such a beautiful soul!! Krystal, you’re so inspiring and down to earth (just like Jeremy:) I can’t wait to see soooo much from you on UA-cam!! Already following you on Insta! Thank you for all you do! ❤
Vegan ice cream and chips are probably the hardest things for me to avoid if they are in the house, but I think I have trained myself to only eat an actual serving, rather than the whole container or bag. At a restaurant is a different story though. As long as there are chips in front of me, I will keep eating them, and I always feel like I have to finish my whole plate, even if I am stuffed. That's from years of my dad telling me my dinner plate had to be as clean as if a cat licked it!
YES. I wasn't allowed to leave the table until I finished my plate - so that was - and I say this with love - bad parenting. I've gotten better at recognizing a serving - my trick is to eat slow and enjoy it - savor - take my time :) I can always have more later :)
Loved this interview. Krystal is so bright and interesting. Law school could be on the bucket list. 34 is young!! (I’m 74). I’m a food addict, too. Sugar. I’m WFPB now. Slowly improving.
Reading books, watching documentaries, and watching other UA-camrs who are making it happen are the way for me to stay consistent! When I keep feeding myself inspiration and information, it keeps me motivated to keep going. That is why I love this channel! And thanks for your interview with Broccoli Mum. I have been watching her a lot and she is so inspiring!
Thanks so much for your story Krystal! You are such a beautiful person. So glad that you didn’t gave up, although it must have been so hard. Wishing you all the best for the remaining part of your journey!
Oh I love Krystal! She such a relatable person. Shes funny, smart and the way she conveys her story is wonderful. Love this! ❤️❤❤Following her channel and Insta now.
Fabulous interview tonight with Krystal. So raw and honest. It’s so interesting to see someone in the middle of their weight loss journey rather than after. We can follow her and support her along her way. She’s very sweet and genuine. I’m so happy for her that she had that aha moment after spending $100.00 at the store, even though it was a very painful, rock bottom moment, because that set her on her way to health. Her fiancé sounds awesome. I hope you have her back for another interview in a few months. ❤️

I loved this. And can do relate but it is so great to find people recording their journey as they go. That is what I’ve been trying to do, because there are so many amazing channels out there, but mostly they’re after the Weightloss ❤
Hello Jeremy! I’m a new subscriber from Moreno Valley California. I have been enjoying your UA-cam channel and your family. Thank you for sharing these interviews with us. ❤
I am only 29 minutes into this interview and I had to stop and say that this is the best interview I have seen ever! Krystal is amazing! Gotta say, my favorite not-good-for-me food is barbecue chips. I could devour a whole family size bag in one sitting and that's why they are never allowed in my house! Also, my husband and I switched to WFPB during the pandemic. I wonder how many people converted during that time? That would be fun to find out. Good job Jeremy!
I switched to WFPB a few months before the pandemic, but the pandemic was really a blessing in disguise for me because it broke me of my restaurant habit and I got back into cooking for myself, and I had more time to go on walks since I no longer had to commute, was working from home.
@MsConstantComment Yes, the pandemic helped because it forced us to cook and make our own food. We started after I had utilized my library's services on my Kindle. First time doing that and am so glad I did! I read the book, "What the Health". Told my husband about the book and then we watched the movie. We had been talking that we heard the experts say how the virus was worse for older and obese people so that's what got us to thinking. We ended up watching many documentaries and finding many helpful UA-cam channels. We went cold tofurkey and dived right in. We have lost a combined weight of what I now weigh (130 lbs.) We are in are early 60's and wished we would've learned about this way of eating many, many years ago. I won't say it was easy because I wanted to quit several times. The food just didn't taste good. They say it takes awhile for your taste buds to acclimate to the new foods and in my case they are taking their own sweet time, because I'm still waiting after 3.5 years. We went SOS free too. That's okay, I use lots of spices and just keep eating this way. Wouldn't change back to old way for nothing. I like going shopping for clothes now! I wish everyone well on their healthy journey!
I tried to do the process 5 years ago and really struggled to go low enough fat to get my weight down. But something happened recently. I ended up in the hospital 5 years later and found out that I have lost 50 pounds. Here's the thing, I didn't know that I lost anything. It was the hospital bed that told me. I had given up but stayed vegan. But I was eating processed vegan food that was not at all low fat. The problem is that my cholesterol and triglycerides were very high and my blood sugar/ A1C was very high and I may have non-alcoholic fatty liver. So, two weeks ago, they wanted to put me on insulin and statins and other things but now I am doing WFPB and succeeding and hope to lose another 50 pounds. It just feels good to be succeeding at eating the food.
This is an inspiration! Thank you! I need to loose 40 lbs, menopause weight gain. I started vegan 2 weeks ago. I’m to the T, no oil , flour or dairy products . No weight loss yet, some bloating , but that is improving. I feel so much more energy and clarity
Yesterday at work I was in the kitchen heating up 8 potatoes and 2 lbs of broccoli and a woman pushing 300 pounds looked at me and said "You're gonna eat ALL of that?" I said yes and even more LMAO. She then proceeded to pull frozen pizza out of the fridge. Everyone in my office thinks I am insane and no one listens to what I have to say (or cares).
Don't worry - they will when they see the changes! Make sure you get some healthy fats in there too somehow and some beans or other more protein focused starches.
Great interview and lovely compassionate energy from you both. Keep your coffee! In How Not To Age, Dr Greger says coffee is good for you! I am trying to get to like it because it apparently has anti-aging and health protective benefits, with or without caffeine.
I broke a chair in 5th grade (the chair was already partially broken) and I was the fat kid in class who was tortured. I never came back from that broken chair, it was down hill from there.
This was an absolute blast! Thank you so much for having me and thanks to everyone watching!!!

We're due for an update with Krysta!
@@pbwithjeremy her instagram has been removed
Oh..... I'm going to check in with her.
This is an inspiration! Thank you! I need to loose 40 lbs, menopause weight gain. I started vegan 2 weeks ago. I’m to the T, no oil , flour or dairy products . No weight loss yet, some bloating , but that is improving. I feel so much more energy and clarity
You've got this! The bloating will lessen as your body gets used to it.
I beg to differ! Yukon golds plus a Hannah sweet (2/3-1/3) makes THE BEST mashed potatoes!
POTATO FIGHT!!!!! :)
Krystal is such a beautiful woman!
You will let us know when Krystal gets her utube site going?
It already is - link is in the description of this video :)
I made some nice cream from Japanese sweet potato a few weeks ago; it was delicious!
mmmmmmm
I'm keeping my coffee :)
I broke a chair in 5th grade (the chair was already partially broken) and I was the fat kid in class who was tortured. I never came back from that broken chair, it was down hill from there.
Been there. Sorry that happened to you.
I actually broke a toilet at a State Fair - it was the kind that was bolted to the wall without a pedestal to support it. Mortifying.
There is a reason they say “no one can eat just one”
Crying with her. The moment she admitted her binge eating to her partner and went vegan had me ugly crying!
Trust me, I had to hold it in. Thanks for watching!
I am from Australia Darwin NT
❤❤
What kind of seasonings to you use?
You'll have to ask her - check her links in the description

❤ I hate broccoli , but I’m always forcing myself to eat it 🥦 🤣
Try it in a different way! :)
If you hate broccoli, eat something else. I am not a huge fan of broccoli either so I hear you. So many veggies, no need to torture yourself.
Exactly! @@amyjacob2100
That was an incredible interview. I’ve been following Krystal on instagram and now I will on UA-cam ❤
Yeah!
