It was very interesting to hear Roy's rationale for why he moved up in weight and moved back down knowing that he would probably not be the same fighter. I had never heard him use that line of reasoning before. I always had wondered why he did that because I knew Roy knew about the risks of moving up and then moving back down in weight divisions.

Two different eras, I grew up watching Mike Tyson, he's oldschool boxing going to the body. too tire you out, then drop guard go to the head and knock em out, same as Mo hummand Ali how ever you spell it the rope a dope the guy get so tired punching you out, he drops the guard then go to the head. I did PKA, WKA 12 rounds of kick boxing back in the 80s, and 90s. Roy second next to Mike, Roy's about speed, old school boxing is about more power. Two different worlds and eras. I always went for the body in PKA, and WKA went to the body and legs. Guys where tougher, and the training was tougher, as I remembered. I like to see a MMA. guy do 12 rounds, they wouldn't make it, cause spend too muck engery on the ground. Frankly martial arts is about the honour back then, now its entertainment all about making the buck, cash cow. I'm old school martial arts about self defence.

What does he have with pit bulls? Everything was taken into account during dog fighting and breeding. They have to follow commands and not attack people. I do think that Iron Mike is listening to the coach's plans and will implement it. In my opinion he has more of an elite commando soldier. This is also important with bipolar disorder, i.e. the relationship with the trainer, the training, the family, a gentle approach. It's all good when Jake Paul wants to fire bombs, like what happened with Holyfield vs. Belfort. Then, according to the Tyson team's plans, the massive counterattack will take place. Everyone wants to see it, it will be a lot of fun and an exhibition. The fists are flying like it's 1986.

Facts Roy...Tarver put on all that weight for that Rocky movie. Had to lose said weight in order to fight Bhop...lost to Bhop. Then all of a sudden he "sees what Roy was talkin about" having been affected by losing all that weight. He acknowledges that fact when it comes to explaining why he lost to Bhop. After watching the Tyson-Jones Jr fight I had to wonder if it was rigged .not that either one of them didn't win but that it went the distance and neither one hurt the other (which come on now really) and neither were really gassed by the end and the way they talked after it was over .

Roy Jones Jr was probably the most gifted fighter of the last 50 years. He beat Hopkins with a broken hand. Made Toney look average after Toney beat Michael Nunn who was himself an excellent fighter. Jones was on another level. If he could have fought Mayweather when he was a middle weight he would have knocked him out.
