This is AWESOME. I just found my collection of OG garbage pale kid's card's. I would LOVE to see someone continue this into a Sega Saturn type game similar to Boogerman or Earth worm Jim. There's so much potential there if taken to that next level of art design and hardware capabilities. It's so awesome to see people making New games in a classic console design style! I hope this catches on with all the different styled console games
Well thank you very much for watching the video. You know The difference between developing for NES or Game Boy and developing for modern system these days is vast chasms of technical differences. The good news is like we have really cool software development kits and game maker middleware for these classic systems That has been helping fuel the trend of independent produce games, but they are some badasses like the guy who I talked to who made Project Blue who coded everything in assembly. And then you compare that to the amount of RAM and power that you have in a Nintendo switch and it's night and day. I wouldn't be surprised if the team that did this considers a follow-up retro game like Sonic Mania but on a modern game console. What's crazy is that the PlayStation 4 was released 11 years ago. So how long does it have to be before we start to consider that generation "Retro". I totally need to do more videos on Retro games on modern platforms, but in this case it is both on a classic platform and a modern one
Well, I think that it is awesome that it was developed for the 8-Bit Nintendo NES and also the Nintendo switch, Xbox series and the PlayStation 4 and 5. But there is an actual cartridge version that works on legit old school 8-bit Nintendo hardware.
I like the when they make games for retro hardware but they also very affordable versions for modern platforms so people can enjoy them without having to track down cartridges
