19:01 Never been to an Overland Expo , but hanging out with fellow Overlanders I'm sure provides a great source of intel and an exchange of tribal knowledge.
It's bad for your wallet, because you see all types of cool builds and want to add more to yours 🤣 in all seriousness, it's a great time. They have a bunch of classes you can attend too.
Cheap toilet option, biodegradable bags, 5 gallon bucket. Works great. Random dude in Colorado let me use his set up elk hunting, it was perfect after not using a toilet in two weeks
I use RacksBrax, and they are a must haves for people who also daily their rigs. I use them to easily and quickly remove my 270 Awning and En-suite Awning. And when I remove them from my vehicle, I store them on spare RacksBrax mounts, attached on the wall of my shed.
Trailers, bed racks, truck bed campers, trailers, bed racks, truck bed campers, trailers, bed racks, truck bed campers. Lol. Great overview of the expo. We will see you at the Overland adventure summit in Kentucky.
The Devo lights are neat. Just haven't been able to justify the cost. Maybe some day. Never been to the official Overland Expos, but tomorrow I head out to Rendezvous in the Ozarks. So it will be an interesting introduction to a overland type event. And it will be nice to get away from work to camp for a few days.
Lmao god damn that inflatable rooftop tent seemed incredibly ridiculous and over the top complex to use. I cannot see an argument why anyone would pick this without very significant changes for setup and tear down.
@@TheTechnoPilot I came here to say the same thing. He claimed it to be so easy to collapse but couldn’t be bothered to put the cover on. 😂 Not only that but he’s also doing all this while standing on the ground with the ability to walk all the way around the tent. I like the idea but this isn’t it.
It didn’t seem any worse than your average soft shell tent, but is lighter. Setup definitely took a long time, but I figured you could get your camp chairs or dinner out while it inflates. The really light clamshells like the Inspired are going to be quicker and easier, and about the same weight, but you also lose the entire roof rack with them. I can see this selling, but it’s not for everyone.
Hi Rob Im new to overloading and I would love to know how you get information on the dates and places where these Expo events are happening? I live in Vancouver Canada but am willing to travel of course lol
You can find the Overland Expo dates on their website, overlandexpo.com. I did a quick Google search and found the BC Overland Rally, Vancouver Outdoor Expo, and the Outdoor Adventure Show are both near you too. There’s also the Panhandle Overland Rally a little further away, and a couple more in Alberta.
Yeah I couldn’t go back to a soft shell tent after having the iKamper and wedge tents, and this seemed very similar. I can see it selling though; it’s lighter than the iKamper style, and takes up a lot less space than the wedge tents. I think it’ll be for people with crossovers etc.
I Want to get the inflatable Roof Tent . That makes it Perfect of me . Spray once a year with weather Proof, and you good ,I do that any ways . Light Heating opening Room Good Size. VIDEO 5*.
Listen I don’t like to talk trash, especially on a channel I absolutely love. But I have a lonerock pump. That pump is 100% not worth it. The pump is a trash $13 pump from Amazon with their sticker on it and you are paying $70 for two 3D print spacers. On top of that the hose does not properly sink until you manually syphon water into the hose via your mouth. The little white “weight” that goes into the end of the hose does nothing because it’s too lite and will always fall out in the rotopax. Spend the extra $30 and get the dometic pump. I didn’t want to pay $100 for the unit so I mistakenly bought the $74 unit and it was a terrible buy. Never again. Buyer beware
wish we had a bare utilitarian wagon /s.u.v. not a 3 row luxury family school bus , my wish is 70 series land cruiser troopy like van in the U.S..... the car camper overland adventure rig I could build i'm done with roof top tents went to camp out of a fixed roof wagon /s.u.v.

Good job at doing this video. Exactly what I was looking for just new tech and interesting things. Loved the video

Much cheaper! They make seats for them that are relatively inexpensive too.
Thank you, Rob, for the walk around. I feel we spent more time in the booth or catching up with friends than walking the show. It was so nice to see you again!
I really like those awning bracket quick release mounts very cool stuff!

Some of The stuff you covered was really cool. My wife says, "DAMN YOU!" cuz now I'm going to order stuff
Sorry not sorry
It was good to meet you at the Expo! Keep it up!
Very helpful video, appreciate all the products you highlighted. Dang that e- motorcycle looked fun and scary.

Yeah I think they’re a great idea!
I have the Bison Gear version, and it's pretty great as well.
Do they work with that crosswing awning?
I have been using the Racks Brax for my Roof nest 270 awning for a year now and they have held up well and are very easy to use.
That’s awesome. They seem like a great idea!
I saw lots of goodies! Awesome video Rob.

Good video 👍 👍😃
Great video! And best outro ever! 😁
I really like the ending!
Definitely a great show. Saw you, but you were talking to someone else. Nice build on your rig!
I checked out 4x4 Colorado and somehow missed that inflatable tent. That thing is cool!
Very interesting stuff 👌
1:01 - 1:15 sums it up.
Yeah it’s getting boring
Every time I see those Garmin power switches I keep thinking about ways I could use it and whether or not I want to redo my whole set up, haha.
It's super simple to set up, and no wires into the cab!
@@RevereOverland that’s my favorite part.

It’s fun to take peoples ladders when sleeping. Imagine opening the deflate valve in the middle of the night 🤣

Sorry I missed it this year buddy!
As long as you make it to the Overland Adventure Summit!
@@RevereOverland i definitely will be back buddy!
Good tour
I can't find a site for the water filter. have you got a good link that will provide me more information... THX
We need a "soft top" assesories video. The soft top guys are left out of all the fun these days.
You missed the most innovative new item at the show... 7/4 Grill was there showing off the MBRR.
I think I had that in my last show video, which is why I skipped it this time!

Alright that electric bike has my attention. Lightweight and goes 70mph 😮
It was a LOT of fun! I can see it being neat for going to work on a nice day too. It's pretty heavy though, so I don't see me taking it on the trail.
I’ve seen that Toyota Beebopping around Louisville
Which one?
man that tent seems like a huge hassle to break down and set up when it's on top of a vehicle.
ok the outtro made me laugh
Outro like a pro!
@RevereOverland your best outro to date!
🎉
4x4 makes cool stuff but that airframe seems like a pain and too much like the old soft top covers. Weight savings also seem to be minimal.

Are overlanders the same people that we used to call preppers? ;)
I think there’s a significant crossover
@vex-nh No. They are campers that have money to blow on silly stuff!
What’s the other channel?
No matter your choice in the rig you use for overlanding everyone at some point will end up in a full size😅
Full size is great, especially out west!

That’s not talking trash, it’s valuable information. Thanks for letting us know!
Dude I was all over the pyre logs until I seen the price. $188.....nope. Its like the DMOS shovel syndrome.
Seriously? I had no idea!!
@@RevereOverland You and me both. They look like a great idea but not a must have.

What's new? Higher prices.
That’s not new, they’re higher every year!
When’s the give away??????
When the Devos video is published. Probably in a couple of weeks.
I watched everything and was ready to spend my money, but I just don't understand what you are actually selling.
I'm not selling anything at the show
Premium camping section? Overland Expo® is becoming laughable at this point. What's next? Camping insurance? 😎
That sloped field was extra premium 🙄
KAKA DU.😂 Hahahahaha@
