I live in Brazil and I bought mine in São Paulo and brought it to RJ, riding nearly 500km and I was surprised by its comfort and rideability. I have a bigtrail 1200 and believe me, I did this ride very smoothly despite being a naked roadster. It is very nervous and has excellent cycling skills, it only gets hot in heavy traffic and on the track it is a rocket. Brakes and suspension are very well tuned and I'm 1.86m tall and 110kg. I averaged ~20km/l with around 15kg of luggage in panniers. It is a wolf in sheep’s clothing! Triumph did an excellent project.✌️

I have the 2023 edition. On older models there was some issues that were solved on these newer editions (2020+) like the rectifier wiring harness, inverted front forks, dual monoblock brembo front brakes, etc... really cool bike that you can feel the quality in every aspect. zero regrets

I have a 22' Street Twin (little brother of this bike) and I love it. It's my first bike so I was fine going with the lower HP and cc. They are great bikes and with good maintanence I've had zero problems with mine in 13k miles over the past year.

The street twin or speed twin 900 now is such a great bike. I do have a soft spot in my heart for the 1200 engine. I like the more sporty riding position this offers over the T120. They are great bikes and I'm glad you have enjoyed it and haven't had any issues. I thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.

I've got the 2020 model, and I think its a great all rounder with an up right riding position that doesn't hurt us old guys. Ride the torque curve and short shift it to your hearts content. Rode mine from Ontario to Nova Scotia and it was fine, bar the wind blast. But still very do able. Best retro Triumph out there.

Appreciate you for taking the time to share you experience with this model. I agree with you regarding the best triumph retro. Fantastic bike! That is one heck of a trip. Just looked it up. I bet it was beautiful! How long did it take you?

It’s bikes like this and well cared for preowned examples, that make buying new a tad absurd.

You aren't wrong. There seem to always be demo bikes and solid used bikes with little miles available to buy at good prices.
