Where is the link of Subject Verb Agreement part1
Sir, English is not my first language but I will try my best to understand and I hope if I stick with your videos my the end of the month I can learn English grammar well.
Hi, Dave. Please explain why “that” was used in the sentence: “He is one of the children THAT go to school”? Should not “that”be used only for an inanimate subject? Thanks.
No! That can be used for animate or inanimate nouns.
You explained it well! Thank you so much for sharing this.
Dear Prof,
I was wondering if I might dare to ask you a question ? Presently, in this example: Neither my friends nor I AM interested in ... Is that correct ? Most people said " are".
Honestly, I would have said: Neither my friends nor AM I interested in....or rather, Neither I nor my friends ARE interested or Neither I nor ARE my friends interested.
Thank you. I pay my respects to you. A
Thank you very much!
Hi, Dave. Might I suggest - with respect - that verbs conjugate and nouns decline?
Thanks for sharing.
Yes, you're right. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I thought they both meant the same kind of thing, but I see I was wrong.

Dear prof ! The rule is :
One of( singular) + plural noun + singular verb !
Examples:
One of the menders is ....
One of my students is .....
One of them was ....
why did you say “go” ? Because there is: He is ? I do not understand anything. Love. A
