You should build a floatilla it's like an octagonal floating platform that has cannons on at least 4 sides I dont remember if they had a method of moving

Don't think it's a mod. Pretty sure that's just serving settings to disable structure limit on platforms

It’s in advanced settings somewhere and you higher the “platform strucures”

For single player, under "Advanced" settings, at the bottom of the list. You can actually manually type in higher limits than the default limit of 5.
20 should be more than enough for any major boat build.
