@Ethan Roy change the values at the host screen and you can place the heavy turrets too. It might be a box you gotta check instead of the value slide but there is a way
I spent like 5 hours grinding and building this and after I was finished I admired it and took it for a spin when out of no where a big f$&@ing fish comes in and rips me and the ship a new A-hole. Ark is so fun :)
so weird that you did this I mean not weird as a build but weird as I was thinking that it would be the boat life for me when I traveled to Valguero and just have a small cabin on the lake island. Awesome as always to watch you work some boat magic.
You can avoid it jumping everywhere by placing fence foundations where you need. However, it will up the already limited number of pieces you can plant on platforms, so only use em in really fiddly places 😉
Nice build! I'd probably crash it by accident 🤣 Also, I can't even imagine building something so amazing! I'm new to the game and was proud when I found enough materials for a normal raft xD
You must put cannons broadside Maybe 3-4 cannons will work also put back cannons two or one of them Edit: put more cannons to protect it from enemy tribes :)
Major props to you Sven P , I think you have here hands down the best design large sailing ship ! Really I don't know how you have done it though .. I hope you could help out here , I have built it % 90 three times over, first accidentally mixed S+ structures in... second some misplaced triangle ceilings (I think) messed up the base.. now i have made it FRAME identical to this video and still I'm having the same problems: I cannot place the regular ceiling at the bow 1:23 (and so neither the walls around later on to make the extended figurehead point) ,,,, When trying to enclose the aftcastle 2:00 I can not place anything on the very back edge, the railings/walls on the _sides_ are fine but the rear is completely open , And finally, my masts will only stack 6 times above _raft level_ no matter what i have tried. IE only *2* above the highest deck of the ship (where 6:06 you could place *5* above the top deck) , and i can only place things on up to the 5th mast, IE 7:18 i cannot place that ceiling there. All these places say too far from platform . I'm be finishing this 3rd revision , just no bow point, putting the aftcastle walls (doors now) flush with the transom-making it more of a balcony, and reducing to just two..stubby.. masts. Agh !! Im still loving this design, , , if you have any clue as to why i've hit these rough seas I am % 100 ready to scrap her in the spirit of a phoenix-esque rebirth ! Thank you +1
I accidentally used the admin rifle when working on the front and destroyed the motorboat through the wood...all that work...gone. The game also decided to save right when it happened, THANKS ARK!
How do you get around the "too far from platform" limit... and how do you access the tiller to drive it? I've recently started trying to build ships myself, biggest problems I've encountered are those two.
@@savageboy2672 Did you guys ever figure out what the problem was? I'm trying to build this but having issues with the back of the boat. I placed wooden railings on one side no problem but the other 2 sides won't let me.
All that hard work and comes a Leedsichthys and destroys it all in seconds. Great work. Too bad you can't build something like this on official though.
You should build a tek base on a Plesiosaur's back and design it in a way that it looks like a submarine.

On ValGRUo the Leedsicthys are in the abyss part of the lake so Valguero is the best map for ship battles.

Imagine one of these made of full metal and instead of cannons you have heavy auto turrets. The perfect war ship!
