A BIGThanks to you... I was messing around in the secret setting and messed up my camera alignment. With your specific advice, I restore my camera to a working state after two tries.. I won't be messing around with any more settings. lol
I googled "honda lane switch target" and downloaded the first picture and printed it off. I set up my ladder and taped the target to a cardboard box. I tried to position it near the same place he had his. First try...success! Big help dude. Big help! I agree with the other commenter who said that if the collision place didnt calibrate it that means they did not test it after the repair....thats a problem
Did my 2021 honda hrv and a quick tip is to do it while the car is ON, if you do it in accessories mode it'll give you the honda logo on screen and a warning that if the screen doesn't go back to normal in 10 minutes to visit honda dealership to fix
Worked great on my 2014 CIVIC, the menu is different, I needed to push “menu” radio power and “eject” at the same time to enter the menus, then find “functional setup” for aiming. It was not with the circuit test as with your car.
When you finally got the OK, how far away was the target from the car, how far away was the camera from the car, and how high was the top row of dots? Without that information, the rest is just wasted.
Yes, several times. Please tell me the times on your video where you are telling the distance from the car, the distance from the camera, the height of the target, and the angle that the target is making with the car.
@@daveraymond2265 At 6:07 you show the target. Simply tell us how far the target is from the car, how far you have the target set away from the camera, how high the target is from the ground, and how much you have to rotate the target. 4 things. We can NOT determine these figures from your simple photo. Is that too hard for you to understand? Ifff so, I will try a diferent explanation.
Side note, if you don't have a good battery (mine's not terribly bad) you'll drain your battery. I've had to call AAA twice today because it's taken my so many times. 1st time it worked after about 3 tries. I tried to re-callobrate due to it not being lined up correctly, and after about 30 tries, battery failed again. Have to say though, if I do get it working again, I save $500, what Honda wanted to charge.
@@daveraymond2265 If the vehicle is involved in a passenger side blind spot accident, the insurance company will want a record of how the camera was calibrated.
Hi there! I've got a 2020 Honda Civic Coupe that someone (who wasn't me) broke the mirror/camera off. It was replaced today after waiting 4 months for the part, and it's not calibrated. I can't find any info on how to get into the control panel of my year car. Any suggestions?
@@kikhu122918 I was able to hack into my control panel and aim it. It's not calibrated properly, but at least the camera works. I'll try to aim it again when I get a second. Thanks for following up!
Just want to thank you for the detail on this. Got it to calibrate first try following your instruction.

It worked after many trials and errors. Needed to reposition the aiming target many times. Thank you for the video!

Thanks man, it worked perfectly to me! I'm from Brazil by the way!
🤦🏻♀️let me try this again. Collision repair didn't calibrate mine, lets me know they apparently didn't test the repair ro ensure it worked.
Same here
Thank you the how-to Dave!!! It worked brilliantly on my 2014 Accord EX-L V-6 Coupe. It took two tries with your distance estimates!
Worked perfectly first try, thanks! Finding the target image online took the most time.
what about mesuares rear car
thanks , just like you said took a few re-positions of the home made aiming chart then BOOM back in business
Thanks man. It worked great!!
Thank you for sharing
Where did you download the target from
The targets way too small and not in the correct spot. I’m surprised it calibrated. Did it keep working after calibrating ?
where did you down load the target at???????????????????

I haven't targeted yet because mine shows connection isn't OK. what would be reason?
Thank you very much this helped 🙏🙏
Is there a link where I can print this out? I'm having this issue right now.
Thanks!

What is the link to print the dots?
I think I Googled "Lanewatch Aiming Target", found the image, saved it and then printed it
Does this cal method cover you in case of a insurance liability issue?
Ins. liability?

You can give the measurements of the panel, the circles etc.

-engine start Switch twiece
-hit menu
-settings

Thats the way go on hidden menus.
What size paper did you use to print?
Letter (8 1/2 X 11)
I have a 2017 and don’t have dials 😢
Can someone provide the link to the download for that target document?
Google Honda lane watch calibration target. Click the images tab, you’ll find it there
What dose IG off means?
I believe it stands for Ignition Off, don't turn off ignition during this process.
@@daveraymond2265 wow that makes sense I feel dumb.

Not giving how far you’re supposed to keep the dotted posture
I showed the position that worked for me
It took a little trial and error
