I ordered a sportsman 106 pdl for my wife and a sportsman 120 pdl for me. Availability is terrible, so I am hoping to get them by July. I wanted 2 120's, but bought what I could get. Watching fishing and kayak video's for 3 months is going to drag. 😆
I discovered this channel last year waiting for my PDL106 and these videos have been solid gold helping me avoid kayaking mistakes and helping me rig up. I’m a pro now. You’ll love your yak when it arrives. Have fun ordering stacks of gear.
Great video ! As Kokanee fishing nut for over 37 years I am seriously considering purchase the Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL kayak. I am driving Westfalia camper and want to transport this kayak inside of the van. Could you tell me total length of 120 PDL from the front tip to the end of the rudder ? I can't find any of this model round Seattle area sporting good stores, so your help will be greatly apreciated. Do you recommend to buy this kayak directly from Old Town company ?
Tyler, you mention when talking about the fish finder, rod holder, transducer that you have another video that shows how you put that all together, but I do not find the link nor the video. Could you give me a link to it? Thanks, love what you do keep on doing it, very inspiring.
You are correct that the Revo 13 is a trolling machine but since I moved to the inland Northwest a few years ago I spend more time fly fishing for trout or bass fishing. Having the ability to stand and fly cast or sight fish bass is something I really needed and something the Revo could not provide. Also in the fall and spring I jig for walleye in moving water and having instant hands free reverse drive is a game changer in that fishery. The Topwater 120 meets all those criteria easily, more affordably, and with added stability.
Can you show me how to you set up your Rods for kokanee and how far apart you have everything. There's nothing online to explain it. I'm new to kyakeing and never catch a kokanee yet. I'm using a tamarack just trying to get into this. And trying to learn from people online thank you
Looking at buying either a big water 132 or sportsman 120 pdl. Can you recommend which would work best on dworshak AND the Clearwater river? Or neither? Thanks
Both are excellent choices for those fisheries. The 120 is going to be lighter and more stable whereas the big water will be faster with more storage. I personally would pick the 120 for those fisheries.

Why did you decide to go from the Hobie Revo 13 to an Old Town Topwater 120? The Hobie Revo’s are so efficient and great for trolling.

Great ideas 👍
The kayak cart you linked to has much less padding in the picture. Did you add a lot of padding?
It comes with padding to add
