I know there are TONS of Tutorials along the lines of what Sage are doing but for some reason I feel he touches on the "details inside the details" and gives most viewers the "Oooooooh okay" vibe lol. Learning more in these neat Vids 👍🏽
Note: TDR NOVA in its both versions (free and paid) has side-chain compression features, just like Pro-Q3. To make this possible, in the upper parte of the plugin there's a button that says "INT SC", press it and change it to "EXT SC".
2:26 if you repeat a technique then it doesn't make it redundant, it only reinforces that the technique works .... and I need a reminder now & again haha, thanks for the videos.
One take away from your style of mixing I've been using lately is letting the eQ3 bands draw on the screen and then adjusting the drawn band which turns into a node. I know u know what I mean cause u use it alot, hard to describe tho!
Thanks bro,I can't pass without showing some love bro, your on momentum, this channel is more than gems, others who passes by to this channel, only for the sake of robing materials and uses for their channel contests, but I must worn them, that there is no short cut,if you know you know,if you don't,you don't ,let the system reveals you in a shame manner.greatings from East Africa Tanzania 🇹🇿
LFO & saturation Trick Is Really Cool. Can you please make a Separate video on LFO saturation topic , And a video on Reverb for Whole mixing session . Thankyou really love your work ❤️❤️
Oh wow! Saturn 2 is one of the most complicated plugins. You kinda lost me on that part but still a great video. I got the most out of the first 2 techniques
I really appreciate this channel alot , bc there's not to many advanced videos out there that are good , there's always begging levelstuff , but not you 😁
Nice tut man, as always. I've noticed you're a 💯 fabfilter fan, but they're expensive. Here are some other alternatives, 1. Free TDR Nova and the the inexpensive Nova GE. 2. Waves F6 RTA, way cheap especially during a sale can grab for $29. 3 iZotope Neutron.
Thank you SO much for the videos! It would be GREAT if you guys made playlists to group videos together. It would make going through them A LOT easier for us common folk lol
Frequency 2 found in Steinberg's Cubase is another EQ that allows side-chain. (And I think Cubase can allow for any plugin to be side-chained, even if the plugin itself doesn't allow for it). While technically not a sidechain, you can prioritize instances of Sonible's smart:eq3. And I want to say Soundtheory's Gulfoss can do it.
The LFO and saturation was a new one, mind blown!!
I’ve paid for courses before and you still manage to bring more value than that completely for free. i had no idea Saturn could even do all that.

You all are amazing. Each approach is highly advanced from a specific perspective rather than “you do this”. Great work.
You guys are getting better at what you do. Great ideas. Great techniques. phenomenal results. Thanks guys

The first two examples were dope.
Waves F6 vitamin can do the dynamic sidechain like that, you can also do it with stick plugins in logic just have to use a compressor and/or multiband

Always so interesting tutorials. Can you add some mic emulation presets in the Subscribers contents? Thanks for sharing your passion with us.
I have an idea for a video: mixing tips, like tape stops or cuts, that would be interesting and it's quite impressive for the general public
Can you please make a vocal chain of FREE plugins.
I love the way the LFO/Saturation effect sounded but I didn't understand what was happening at all 🥲

stop blowing my mind
Try the neutron pro dynamic eq!
Please show us how to make reverb perfect. As well as how too boost the overall volume of the song.
wow. this is much appreciated. subscribed
that's next level stuff, damn! love you dude
Can you guys do one of mixing a sm7b microphone for music?
Is it better to boost the vocals or duck the instrumental when doing side-chained EQ? Or can I do both? Thanks.
The 2nd technique is somewhat similar to what's baked in FL studio itself with the patcher plugin...
Tdr Nova is total free, with sidechain
Is there any substitute for fab filter q ? I know is nova ... I don't know if it matches ...
Bravo!
The waves F6 can be sidechained a bit less expensive than the pro Q ;)
Some amazing tips - thank you Sage 🙏🏻
