Johnny keeps thinking Miyagi-do is soft and weak. Don't forget 2 people from Miyagi-do beat up 5 people from Cobra Kai! The mall fight where Sam and Robby saved Demitri. This shows that you can't underestimate Miyagi-do!
Yes, but some of Kreese's teachings are still in his head. Plus, Johnny likes to make up his own, and that kind of training hurts the students unlike the chores/muscle memory aches the students all get from the Miyagi training
