That's what I love about Eli in this show, they portray him to be this shy and weak individual so we develop an intense understanding of his later relentless nature. He's an antagonist that you can understand and relate to.
Everyone gives Miyagi hype for being able to heal injuries by rubbing his hands together, but Johnny curing Miguel's asthma and Hawk being on the spectrum is right up there with it. You don't hear Miguel or Hawk even mention it again after Johnny gets through with them.
Hawk was bullied ruthlessly, everywhere he went before he got the Mohawk and got confidence, was everybody just making fun of his lip which was cruel. He probably tried to make friends and chat up girls before, and they just made fun of his lip. And Johnny making fun of him for that was the last straw for him, so he changed his look and gradually became more confident. Unfortunately, due to how Hawk was treated in his past, he now believes that if he isn't aggressive, no one will take him seriously. Miguel was only bullied by Kyler, and didn't have anything to really make fun of, so it wasn't as bad for him as it was for Hawk.

I think more tan being Tommy, Aisha is Tommy and Hawk is Dutch from the original, and I think Hawk is awesome and he deserved to flip the script he just need to keep his anger under control he could beat robbie in a fair fight
Before I got into this show I had heard talk of a very extreme character called Hawk. When he made his first big entrance I was like ‘Wait... the quiet meek lip kid is Hawk??’ And he just continued to impress from there...
Most of the time, that's how it is in real life. Evil begets evil (not that bullying is necessarily evil, although it can be depending on the circumstance).
I think Demetri is gonna be on Daniel's team. It would make sense because Demetri doesnt agree with Cobra Kai's terms. I can see Demetri Vs. Hawk happening next season
"The Dr. Says i might be on the spectrum." "I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto!" 🤔🤔🤔😂😂 I do not mean any disrespect to anyone who is autistic. But that was hilarious!!!
Or at least do a face off between diaz and hawk in the semi finals. The memory lane part with Johnnys old buddy who was dying proofs that ppl on the same team can end up vs
Same deal with Bobby. If he hadn't had gone for Dan's knee, he might have won on his own. Kreese didn't want to just defeat Daniel and Miyagi, he wanted to destroy them. Defeating them on fair terms would have probably earned Dan the respect of the Cobras for at least standing to them on the Karate mat and getting so far. Kreese has got a messed up way of looking at human relationships.
True I often was told to control my punches and kicks in Class. Because I was the hardest striker in my group. Control is important you don't want to knock people out when you don't get your way or disagreement happens. It's a time and place for everything.
Kent Peterson Wha? I can see what you mean with Miguel starting a fight with Robbie, but Yasmine and Kyler deserved it. They started their fights, Kyler beat the hell out of Miguel and continuously messed with him until Miguel shut him down. Yasmine did the same thing verbally with Aisha.
The writers wrote his character really well, the actor played him even better, he’s basically gone from playing an insecure introvert to basically the exact opposite.
This series shows how hard Karate actually is to learn because you need to learn how to defend yourself as well as control yourself. Once you know how to defend yourself you need to know not to be overconfident. You need to control yourself and that's how you will truly succeed.
I like that Dimitri instantly accepts Miguel as a friend by saying “I’d kill both of you just to have her spit in my face” it’s of course a strange way of putting it but to me it means he sees them as a trio already
Bucky Barnes, Holy shit dude. I think I know what's gonna happen in season two. After what you said about Hawk smiling from the illegal move, I think Johnny is gonna kick him out of his dojo. That's why Kreese appears at the end. Hawk becomes Kreese's student as well as a few others from school.
Johnny apparently is Jesus: 1) 04:19 Johnny cured his autism! 2) Have you noticed Hawk's lip scar has gotten smaller since training under Johnny? 3) Previously, Miguel had asthma; he hasn't had any symptoms since Johnny slapped the asthma pump out of his hand.
Well the asthma think makes sense if it was mild. With enough conditioning training is quite common to get “rid” of it (needing the pump). However, it needs to be controllable because I’ve seen some people have asthma attacks with just jogging/running 100 meters, so I’d imagine it must be much harder or nearly impossible for them.
The Man 316... I noticed that too, but what it seems like they did was "lessen" how visible it was. Fairly certain it was a production decision to bring more impact to his "new persona" instead of the lip scar.
Tbh it’s understandable why he started acting out, not saying it’s right but the anger from being constantly mistreated just keeps building up until you break
Hawk wasn’t a nerd. In the story he was borederline slow. Would be nice to see more of the story focus on the students vs the past group. I like the Cobra Kai for taking the kids the other class would not.

No chance. Hawk is totally ruthless and will probably be taken under Kreese's wing in S2. No pun intended.
that was my theory as well
Before I got into this show I had heard talk of a very extreme character called Hawk. When he made his first big entrance I was like ‘Wait... the quiet meek lip kid is Hawk??’ And he just continued to impress from there...
Hawk needs therapy
I didn't even know that was him I was like who tf is that 😂😂
SimplyJay0 I think that was the point.
Turning his moon tattoo in to a reaper scythe was a great touch
I like how this shows that the ones that are bullied often become bullies later in life.
shinigami built up functions man
Most of the time, that's how it is in real life. Evil begets evil (not that bullying is necessarily evil, although it can be depending on the circumstance).
shinigami, well yeah. That explains why some of those victims become cops.
shinigami It actually happened to me when I was in school. I was bullied and I became a bully (I regret it).
alguien1234 jesus has takeen away all our sins so we dont need to carry all our guilt and regret
I think Demetri is gonna be on Daniel's team. It would make sense because Demetri doesnt agree with Cobra Kai's terms. I can see Demetri Vs. Hawk happening next season
Well predicted
Matthew Mata u were right 😅
Damn dude.
You see the future
Can you make more theories on next season
Eli’s progression to Hawk was so god damn fire I felt like a proud father.
I love hawk even when he is a jack ass I hope crease doesn’t make his character evil
This didn't age well
7:28 what did Hawk say?
He looks like romanatwood
Ricky Gutierrez no he doesn’t
Kinda mainly the hair
I see it
Ric gutierrez for real
Like maybe 24%
I definitely liked his transformation. I think in season two Hawk will fully embrace the darkside and Kreese or Barnes may become his new Sensei.
Wow... U predicted it.. Awesome..
Woww... I predicted it.. Awsome dude..
HE PREDICTED BARNES AND KREESE COMIN IN
This is literally how villains are born
Every Villain has a back story
Literally every Villain.
I miss Aisha, Miguel and Hawk friendship 🥺
Hawks recovery from the chest kick to the counter flying elbow looked badass
Flying elbow!
D-do they even teach you that in Karate?
Magic dunno but it sure looks cool.
Johnny(King Karate) is the man! He literally transformed all these prissy kids almost to the level of the old school CK practically overnight..
Michael Guerra he turned them into bullies
BigfootsDaughter not miguel, clearly miguel showed mercy and robbie didn’t😳
ok boomer
Mary Jane Hansen GenXers and boomers are far from the same thing
@@AlyxAesthetics, no he didn't. He taught them to how to stand up against bullies.

I bet Hawk will be Kreese's underling.
Kreese is a little old doe. I imagine Terry Silver will come back in a big way and corrupt either Hawk, Miguel, or Rob.
Sir Joelsuf tbh I think Terry is Miguel’s Dad
@RyanB1228 I think so too...
Nemesis T-Type exactly or his grand son
Hawk and Miguel are the new Johnny and Dutch
This cast choice was amazing
"The Dr. Says i might be on the spectrum."
"I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto!" 🤔🤔🤔😂😂
I do not mean any disrespect to anyone who is autistic. But that was hilarious!!!
I’m autistic but I’m not offended by that joke
I don’t think it was meant as a joke. I think it was a command.
@@williambroberg6746 are u stupid? if it was a command how can someone get off the spectrum?
hes telling him basically stop limiting yourself
@@rhysatkins9295 by hiding it?
If Hawk didn't kicked Robby's back he could won.
Or at least do a face off between diaz and hawk in the semi finals. The memory lane part with Johnnys old buddy who was dying proofs that ppl on the same team can end up vs
If you like hawk edits, then check out my latest video 😮
Yeah, then imagine him and Miguel fighting dirty towards each other in the final
You wish lol
All that's left is for him to get a pet Hawk.
Transformation Complete.
Bet u that's what hawks gonna buy in season 2 to b complete
That would be sick AF if he could become a hawk and fly to tournaments and transform right in front of everyone. That’ll be the best intro ever
@@RollingxBigshot that would be so badass
Miguel is not bad he just need to know when to take it easy. Hawk is not bad either he just need to chill sometimes.
True I often was told to control my punches and kicks in Class. Because I was the hardest striker in my group. Control is important you don't want to knock people out when you don't get your way or disagreement happens.
It's a time and place for everything.
Johnny pretty much told these kids to start fight by starting fights.
Yeah, He can turn it around he got some good students. They admire Johnny a lot.
EMR80 Strike first Strike hard,No mercy ! From COBRA KAI OF CIUDAD JUAREZ !
10:46 The combination of the smoothness and the badassery...pretty nice
He said I'm a plastic surgeon, I fix lips... I'm dead....
I hope they put that hawks cry sound effect in the background whenever Hawk does something cool in Season 2
Ask, and you shall receive, it seems...
One of my favorite characters! His transformation is inspiring. A change of mindset can change your path. Badass!!!
I like lip's bad ass transformation into hawk - it's a kind of revenge.
He's a plastic surgeon. He fixes lips.
Esso its hard to notice with that mohawk
THAT SCENE WAS SO FUNNY
Right? That was insane hahaha
Esso j
Nowadays he usually busts them instead of fixes them tho
Even Miguel looked annoyed at Hawk for cheating when he got off the mat. You'd think he'd be the first to cheer that Robbie had been injured.
I like that Dimitri instantly accepts Miguel as a friend by saying “I’d kill both of you just to have her spit in my face” it’s of course a strange way of putting it but to me it means he sees them as a trio already
Hawk!!! Flip the script!
Somebody is going to get that tattoo. It isn't a matter of if, but when!
Hawk is pretty much Dutch, but with better hair
Alejandro Bonilla after his change I don’t see his scar anymore or is he using something to cover it up?
Alejandro Bonilla Dutch was awesome too.
The Man 316 that’s the point, he becomes so badass that everybody ignores his scar
Andrew W nah, he was a psycopath
Alejandro Bonilla well I understand that but ya think the character is using something to blend it in?
“I’m not gonna say names, but a mother came to me of a kid crying because of them making fun of their face deforming!”
Yea didn’t have to say a *NAME*
Hawk and Miguel are homies, they literally beat anyone, they are badass.
I like Hawk.. he is a badass.. I hate Robbie lol.. #TeamCobraKai
GatoFox Tube well he cheated. And he illegally hurt his sensei’s own son and smiled at it.
Seth Winters woah
Me too
I agree he is my favorite Cobra Miguel is better in way at karate but Hawk is a loose cannon!!!!!!!
Hahahahaha
Eli: 'The...doctor says I could be on the spectrum...'
Johnny: 'I don't know what that is, but get off it. Pronto.'
Stephen Holcomb That sold me on this series. Anti PC
Hawk has had one of the best developments of the series along with tory
Johnny apparently is Jesus:
1) 04:19 Johnny cured his autism!
2) Have you noticed Hawk's lip scar has gotten smaller since training under Johnny?
3) Previously, Miguel had asthma; he hasn't had any symptoms since Johnny slapped the asthma pump out of his hand.
You Neva Been This High Our saviour, Johnny Lawerence. Great points
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed this, seems like he learned the Miyagi healing technique instead of Danny 😂
I laugh tears! xD xD xD
Yepp
This Kid is awesome!!
when kids flip the script, chances are they will succeed in adulthood.
when in doubt turn to punk
W. Rivera hey am I wrong or is the scar gone after he changes? Cause when he’s showing off his back tattoo I can’t see it anymore 🤔
The Man 316... I noticed that too, but what it seems like they did was "lessen" how visible it was. Fairly certain it was a production decision to bring more impact to his "new persona" instead of the lip scar.
Mr. Nerve Damage I wonder if it’s a production thing or if it’s something the character uses
The scar is still there, but the haircut draws the attention away from it.
This dude is awesome, one of the shows best and entertaining characters.
Wow!!! What a transformation!!!! To say that Eli and Hawk are like Night and Day is a massive understatement.
Kyler: "It's the kid with the lip! I thought he moved!"
Hawk: "Didn't move, got reborn. You won't be so fortunate..."
Poor Hawk! He was pitiful af at first then after season 2 he’s definitely one we love to hate!
terrorofsesameST na robby is still way more hate able

@@DanyoProductions The likelihood of the 1 year old comment being still relevant is slim

Looking back Demitri actually really picked on Eli when they were both nerds. Could of been a reason why he hated Demitri so much
Eli went from being nerdy to becoming rebellious real quick.
Hawk should put scars into perspective. Scars make people cool and bigger badasses.
Zachary Vargas Chicks dig scars.

Eli is lowkey one of my fav characters.
Im 14 but I would be crying if johnny treats me this way

Hawk wasn’t a nerd. In the story he was borederline slow. Would be nice to see more of the story focus on the students vs the past group. I like the Cobra Kai for taking the kids the other class would not.
I love Hawk. I hope Demetri has his transformation soon too.
cafequeen Demetri is an ass
cafequeen nah he doesn’t deserve one
Hope Kyle doesn't learn karate
Demetri won’t change. He broadcasts his nerdy character, whereas Eli was quiet but had a badass under that shell
Eli transformed into a douchebag.
The 4 Stages of Eli/Hawk:
Season 1 Stage 1: Flip The Script
Season 2 Stage 2: Villain
Season 3 Stage 3: Redemption
Season 4 Stage 4: Hero
