Now This is a game they should remake/ redo. Underground 1-2 were my absolute favs with Bam vs Tony and your groups going out and causing mayhem to compete. Good times.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is still playing these old games. I rented thug 2 back when it first came out but didn't like it much. The other day I picked it up and realize it's a good game overall, just with minor flaws. I really love the sticker slap mechanic, it's great!
If you have it on PC, you should install THUG Pro, it brings back levels from THPS 1, 2, 3, 4 and levels from THUG and THAW, and also allows for online play.
No one really plays any of the Tony Hawk games for story, most people play it because it's an extreme skateboarding game that allows you do do cool stuff.
Did all the work on the original to unlock every character. Before cellphones were common. I'd run to the computer room, look up a gap, the run back & do it. Took me days of constant playing. Back when games didn't have 12 million polygons and intricate details, and developers actually had the time and freedom to have fun with unlockables. Don't doubt for a second that if Vicarious Visions could've made 10 secret skaters for the new game, they would have. This is the cost of people demanding more and more detailed graphics in games
this is a bad excuse. Kind of like "PS5 Games will cost 70$ bcs is so much more expensive to produce than before". Its not like we have to make better graphics with the same old tools. And with all the microtransactions plus way broader audience today, there is much more profit. Of course there has to be more work done these days. I grew up playing pro skater 3 on the gamecube as a kid, I had no idea some of those maps were in this game too (Canada and airport) so fucking nostalgic
THPS3 also had great secret skaters. What do we have on 1+2? The alien, the skeleton and Dick.. Secret skaters on THAW were ok, and anything after that was super lackluster, or they had 1 or 2 unlockables. Also custom skater options on this game were the best.
For any of you guys who wanted to unlock these characters on PS2 (PC exclusive not included of course LOL) without have to worry about savegame corruption bug on that version, You can, actually transfer your PS2 saves on PC then play it from there and when you've done unlocking them all just transfer it back on your PS2. It requires a bit knowledge about hex-editing though and your PS2 have to be softmodded (non-softmodded would work too I think but would require a little bit extra steps).
i miss games like this where it was a surprise to unlock cool hidden characters, it actually made you challenge yourself to unlock shit lol now its all about DLC buying stuff. it’s not the same type of fun anymore

I love seeing half a million views for a game that's very old underground 2 was my all time favorite its like Tony hawk pro skater meet jackass you had all the wild skating and fluent maneuvers along with the wild goofy storyline that reminded us of jackass or viva la bam, a remaster would be a game changer
