I am working with Cotlin yarn now as well. I am impressed of how soft it feels when I knit with it, and it gives a smooth stitch definition. I am making a Talulah top.
Baby Cat Yarns has great palettes. Might be fun if you decide you need more yarn before starting the blanket. She’s great at explaining color theory to her base as well.
I have just finished Funny Story and loved it! Also, I have an in-progress Sweet Shop Blanket that I plan to pick up after the summer and finish up before Christmas hopefully!

Love love love all the minis. The greens in that set are two of my favorite colors. It’s so funny bc I find myself knitting more fall/winter garments in the summer and then I daydream about all of the summer knits I can make (and usually do make) in the winter. I’m sitting here with a whole sweater and I’m also wishing I didn’t have to knit sleeves. Maybe this year I will actually knit a summer garment in the summer? 🤔

This is still a bit of a hike from you but may not feel like it as you just shoot down US 50. But Knit & Pieces (Annapolis) carries Magpie Fibers yarn.
I haven't been to annapolis in ages, this could be an good excuse to go!
