I agree ! I always felt they need to recreate a K1 video game or some type of animation or documentary, highlighting this golden era of K1. These guys were literally the scariest strikers on the planet and they created history with their epic bouts.

I met him and knew who he was but I didn’t want to seem like a fanboy so I just asked him a dumb question. “Training Muay Thai?” Lol. I could speak Japanese at the time too because I was living in Japan but trained in Thailand. The gym has had many famous K-1 fighters who trained there too. I was surprised to see how short he was IRL. I’m tall though but this guy was always my favorite to watch.

I saw his matches against Mike Zambidis, and he lost both. Blatant robberies in both matches which were clear wins for Mike Zambidis. Anyone with any real fighting knowledge and who can count knows this. Makes you wonder how many more battles were rigged in Masato's favor ?!?!? For context.. Masoto got a knockout score for hitting his gloves, and since mike moved back he went on his backend. That is not a real knockout. LOL..... count all hits in all rounds and it is so obvious!
