So many happy beautiful memories that ended with us both balling our eyes out as I took him to the airport and him being forced to go back home to China because his parents found out about us. This song hit me hard and made me wept. I’ve been in that situation. I had just moved to a new city to help a friend out with rent and met a guy. We dated for 5 months but had to part ways. He was graduating from college and was heading back home to plan his next steps. I was moving back to my hometown as well because my friend was also graduating. But we had promised each other that we were going to move back to that city together. But then Covid happened and I lost contact with him ever since :/ and all those dreams of starting a new life went out the window. Pains me when I think back to it and what never was. But we cannot dwell on dreams forever can we?
