You can find a lovely metal 36 inch ruler at your local hardware store. Just stick some of the little silicon dots on the back so it won't slide on you. Your bag is really cute!

Can you please explain why you are using the straight stitch and not the stretch stitch (06).
If you throw a hand full of salt in the washing machine with your red fabric it will “set” the red dye
