Just when you thought you got that perfect property, there will always be new properties that might be providing better deals. Especially in this current junction where everyone is trying to sell.
As a buyer, we need to prepare several things:
1. We will need to always have patience in going through project by project, and pace yourself to prevent decision fatigue.
2. There's no need to act smart. Don't hesitate to ask questions. The sales person, banker, lawyer and etc are there to assist you.
3. Find out how much loan you are eligible to take. If not you'll be easily tempted to book with the intention of 'testing loan'.
4. Be realistic on your budget as sales people will always try to upsell you.
5. Have the exit strategy in mind, as much as you want it to be an own stay unit.
6. Do not buy a property you cannot afford just to impress others. It's not worth it.
7. Prepare your documentation and online access to your records such as EPF, bank statements, income statements, tenancy agreements and etc.
8. Over communicate with your partner always
