If I kept comparing and gave up last year, I would not have taken 5 figures in payouts this year nor see the consistency I am seeing now... Hey Jess! Congrats on your journey!! Been trading for 10 years. The first eight were unprofitable, and the ninth year was breakeven. This year, I finally cracked the code, and with prop firms playing a major part, I am very profitable! If a buffoon like me can do it, anyone can. LOL!!
Jeez if 10 years is what it takes then that means that I have 5 more years to go

@pricetimevaluetradingroup I was profitable my first years in 2020 during the bull run but then I found out about options and soon after 1 week DTE and now it's 0DTE SPY options I've blown at least 11 personal accounts. I can't even count the evaluation firm challenges that I've blown but it's well over 100.
By seeing this Video i can only say that one can earn money, financial freedom is important but as per your expressions on your face, i think emotional health is very important because emotionally if one is strong then things will bound to happen!! Kudos!! Please be emotionally strong and you will go miles then!!
I also started in 2023 by listening to podcasts all day at work everyday for 1 year of studying and learning all about candles and how to trade. I’ve been paper trading for 6 months now. I was on ninja trader acct and I started off with 2k real money! and lost it all! Slowly gone. And then I got stressed out took a break. Now I’m back on prop firm and paper trading. I’m getting more confident and doing good. I am only trading price action small caps. When I watch other live trading I can read their minds. I understand their concepts. They have more experience in the market and I don’t. That’s why I needed more time to practice trading. I’m so confident that I don’t need anybody to train me. I can almost read their minds. I train myself.

What an amazing video, your words really speak to me. I feel like im stuck rn in that similar mental gunky area you were referring too. Trading really is a lot of mental. I remember hearing somewhere someone say trading is a reflection of you. How much you put in is how much you get back. Just gotta continue pushing. Eventually, at some point I’m sure (I hope lol), it all starts clicking.
I do like trading videos that does not show trading. I guess that works for me because I have gone past the basics and I am now in the struggle with myself and my issues. Good luck to you.

I saw this video by Dr. David Paul where he spoke on the trait he felt was most important in a trader and the first thing he coaches when trying to help people improve, which is being "greedy when winning and being afraid when losing". That is my biggest problem where I never have big losses in trades that I would objectively pre-rate as good and rarely max add to them, but always find a way to add to trades I would objectively rate as bad. And every time after I have done it and I am looking the trade over I am amazed at how I got so turned upside down by a trade I didn't really believe in.
Keep going!!! You have more than what it takes to be successful at this.

Hey Jess, thanks for sharing this! Really love when you talk about your journey, it’s really inspirational. I’m currently still learning on paper and backtesting, feeling that I’m still not ready yet, but I’m still thinking if I should just throw in some money assuming I’ll lose them all just to have some skin in the game. Did you put in real money since day 1?
