all that with robots.txt and what not google doesn't care enough it just make it "score" better but when u do explicit seach you would still get the propper result regardless of how bad it was as long as it has been indexed (unless blacklisted)

As of today it is fixed on mobile at least. I'm not sure for PC. I used "site:deidetected" and it works.

For anyone looking for the TLDR of the matter, including things after this clip:
-Dev had the site in DDOS protection, which means crawling failed
-Google purged the results once the page couldn't be crawled
-Other search engines were showing 3 days old links, they just hadn't updated
-As soon as it was fixed by the dev, it was relisted
-(apparently) Asmon changed opinions later on after learning more

Vercel might have accidentally blacklisted Google's scrapers for this site in particular. But if that was the case, it would be super weird that Vercel blacklisted _every_ Google scraper but not, say, Yandex or Yahoo scrapers.
most web developers watching this know exactly whats happening. for a split second you can see it when asmon visits the page in incognito google isnt blocking him, and hes not being censored. hes blocking google
well hes blocking bots from accessing his page, but guess what google has to use to find pages and put them in the search results? if googles bots cant keep accessing the page, then they wont keep it indexed.
This is so freaking frustrating. It is more likely the website admin did something wrong that blocked the search engine agent. This type of problem happens very often for small/medium websites/business because they cannot afford to hire an experienced admin.
Turned out this was true, despite asmon saying it was probably "1 to 2% chance of being correct." Interesting that.
Or it could be because they didn't pay Google to promote their business, so it's on a different page. Which is another problem. Normally the paid promoted results at the top have nothing to do with what you typed in.
If DEI was as popular as they claim it was they wouldn't have to censor people pointing it out.

The first time you visit DEIdetected you will see a screen showing : "Vercel Security Checkpoint" (try this in incognito mode)
Vercel is a web cloud platform for hosting websites. one of their feature is DDoS protection which can be enabled at will.
However, levaving this protection on will prevent google robots to index the website.
There is no conspiracy of "they're out to get us and our 100 view website".

This wasnt even Google fault. The websites DDoS protection blocked Googled crawlers for over a month. Making them think the website is offline. Its now indexed again after the DDoS protection was turned off.

Website host did fuck up which caused google to no longer be able to crawl the website and delisted it because of that.
Other search engines didnt update their search results and still showed the result.
Website host fixed the issue, it shows on google now.
So this ain't a case of google censorship, just bad website configuration.

Would of helped if you went into detail on exactly what the website did to not allow google crawl their url but other engines could, and also where your source is. Sounds like Google got backlash and fixed it to me but i'll try to hear you out.

So, did we ever get a confirmation on whether it was the site owner, who prevented google from indexing his site? Because this is a pretty big accusation to lobby at them, and would be somewhat unprecedented.
Thought the same, could have been a marketing strat. I just Googled the site and it popped up at the top, I feel like this is more of a robots.txt issue
This goes to show how big of a threat DEI Detected is to "the message" when the gigantic corporate partners are stepping in to protect the Sweet Baby Incs of the world. It now makes sense why the media went so hard after gamers for GamerGate and what they tried to make into GG2 after the DEI Detected Steam list was created and everyone started finding out about SBI and where all of that money was coming from.

This is the issue with large companies controlling information, if they decide to change something that is under their agenda in Google they just put the information they support easily accessible and make it near impossible for the information that goes against them.

Our entire economy is based on intentional debt and false scarcity. Our foundations are built/designed for a handful of people at the top (its designers). The market is meant to fail - dating back to 1913, the "families" crashed the market to buy up/take control of all of the land and businesses for cheap, it's just consistent history repeating. Also, a corporation that is monopolizing mandatory public services (GPS, search engines, services, SEO) - controlling business (therefore markets) and controls information for over half of the world's population does not and should not be allowed to do whatever they want, it's a public service and it needs to be extremely regulated in our current world's systems.

2) Not really. If Google indexer or web crawler run on a more frequent schedule than the ones used by Bing or another search browser then it makes sense for Google's results to be affected and not Bing's.
It is also entirely reasonable to think that Google and Bing web crawlers are coded differently and a change to the site could affect one and not the other.

The guy who supposedly worked at Google is wrong about robots file. It is meant to let webmasters tell search crawlers which pages on the site they don't want indexed. It is not required for indexing. All Google needs is a single link to the site from a page that's already in its index.

100%, I signed in to say this same thing it was annoying me so much. Also, you can generally just navigate to the robots.txt file eg. append '/robots.txt' to the site, to see the actually contents - but it appears that the deidetected site is currently under ddos attack or something has caused it to go down.

Google will eventually deindex websites that continue to return 4xx errors. Everything the "web developer" said was correct.
The website is doing the blocking and returning a 403 forbidden error for me, and returning 429 and 403 errors to pagespeed insights.
Right now that is the issue that needs resolved. Until then, no one should be convinced google is censoring this website.
Bing uses the same file for search index as google and it shows on bing and not google. its not a file/website problem its google. Because even if the site had a bad DA ranking it would still show just lower down on the search
My silly first website I did without any knowledge of SEO or hell, anything would still appear on google when fully typed. Yeah it wouldn't rank high for keywords and SEO but it was still there when I specifically searched for it. Those "expert" chatters are mainly speaking about perfect SEO practices which are only necessary when you want to appear high in search results. However they are not necessary to appear at all.

You're 100% right. Perfect SEO is not needed for your site to be listed on Google, just so Google knows when it's more relevant to the current search to list it higher. I remember Googling the site a few weeks ago and it was the first result, so indexing clearly isn't the issue. Also if you use dig and search for TXT records you see it has Google site verification, he can request a reindexing of the site at any time.
There's a Reddit post claiming it's Vercel's DDOS protection, which is plausible, but also a weird explanation. There are many websites that have been down for a while and yet are still listed on Google. Just because a site can't be indexed doesn't mean it should be completely removed from search results.
Plus, the website appeared at first 2 days ago, now it doesn't appear anymore. The point of the chatter would make sense if the website never happered in google in the first place, not appearing for a while then magically disappearing.

If you google the documentation for that file “robots . txt” it will tell you in the first paragraph that it is not enough to prevent Google from indexing the website. Furthermore that is an optional file you need to explicit set up for it to work, so unless the developer purposely set it up to prevent Google from indexing, what those alleged devs are saying is BS.
because different search engines use different crawlers and index. google doesn't ignore errors due to their high requirements and filtering. if a website returns an error, it won't force itself to load due to the possibility of harmful code being present, unlike other engines

Tbh, I personally think that there should be laws for situations like this. The companies within FAANG are private but they often provide spaces for people that are public domain. I would argue that the features that are not under the requirement for account creation should by law not be able to be censored at the very least and the features that do, Say If more than 70 percent of the population uses it to be moderated under state law instead of the fictious TOS. If you look at 30:37 it says on the bottom that there is a HTTP status code error of 403. Now this error is that the service (website) is forbidden which would be caused on the website side.
Now I have checked that pagesearch insights link for the website and now there are no SEO errors, plus the site is now showing. I am more leaning to this being an issue on the website side as opposed to Google currently but that can change depending if more information is revealed.
Doing my own research it seems that the developer was using DDoS prevention tools which blocked the google web crawler. There is a better explanation on the asmongold subreddit than what I can do here tbh

It's not that Google can't is that Google won't unless your website meets the requirements. What people failed to address here is Google is a business of selling ad space. If you don't meet the necessary criteria then you won't get indexed and rank to be above the fold of the search engine as that is for not only paid ad space but more a competitive space for Google to serve 'relevant' results to your search. Google's algorithm builds a domain credibility score which then determines whether a domain are valid or malicious which in return will get de-indexed. I hope this shed some light on this subject.

The ironic part of this is proper government regulation on web would actually fix this exact issue, but they don't regulate it at all so Google decides the rules. So he's right, you should want regulation on this.

@@Temperans Regulation is good because humans come together and agree to follow said regulations and provide consequences for not. But allowing a group of humans to have more and more power due to regulations to the point you are at their mercy is also bad, and thats part of the reason stuff like checks and balances are important for government.
