- Another video with clips from the miniseries Joan of Arc with Leelee Sobieski and the song Love Story.
I heard this song on the radio and thought about Jeanne d'Arc and Jean de Martz, so I had to make a video. I KNOW they never had a relationship past friendship, but this is my little head canon, okay? LET ME HAVE MY FUN. I want to make more videos of Jean x Jeanne and probably will...
Currently I'm working on a video with clips from the miniseries with the song Closer to the Edge by 30 Seconds to mars, but I'll try to make a video of another series or something so I don't spam people with Joan of Arc videos.

I will seriously love you forever if you make more Jean x Jeanne videos. They're a part of my personal head-canon too, and have been ever since I first saw this miniseries! It's gotta be one of the most subtle and understated on-screen romances ever, and I think Leelee and Chad pulled it off marvelously well, without letting it get in the way of the bigger story.

Leelee Sobieski is the best version of Joan of Arc. Almost the same age, same innocent face.
When I first saw the miniseries I shipped Jeanne and Jean so hard, but nothing canon happened beyond those incredible little moments they had. It's awesome to see more people that like them, and your video is great! I hadn't thought about the series in awhile, but your video just reminded me of how much I enjoyed it. Thank you for making this fantastic video and reminding me how much I loved the series :)

Well, i think In the movie he did fall in love with her, he just never really got the chance to tell her since she was Burned alive...though in reall life he was like...14 years older than her...but still! I like this! I just watched the video in French Class, and for the past few days i kept fantazising that Joan should've lived and married Jean :P

@MaestraWashu hahah well then I will make more :) I have to get all the footage again since my computer was rebooted, but I will since people seem to like this one! And yes, I have to agree! :) I like that it had those romantic moments but still kept the main point not about them, but about Jeanne. Though, the seen where Jean goes to see Jeanne while she's in the dungeon... I kept thinking "KISS. HER. DX"

@Ember4501 But yes, i think that attraction was there in the movie, but then she was rapped, and then Jean came and let lighting strike me now if I'm lying, but EVERY single girl, including me, sighed when Jean went into her cellroom place and touched her cheek and when he cried when he went to deliver the news to her parents. *Sigh*
I have made more Joan of Arc videos, but no more of these two, sadly. I lost the videos I made these from, so I can't. :( But if you want to see my other two videos of Joan of Arc, they're on my channel. Skellig and October.
This is the best and my favorite version of Joan of Arc. But the sad thing is I can’t find this movie anywhere not even online. If anyone knows where I can find it or even buy it please let tell me.
The DVD can be ordered on Amazon, but a while back some of them were defective. Hopefully they have fixed the problem.

@abarre6 Yeah like I said, it's like my head canon~ I think they both were in love in the movie but she knew she had other things she needed to do. But yeah... Either way I still love these two

@Ember4501 God, has a plan for everyone, God's plan for Joan was unite France and eventually she was captured and tried for hersey and burned. I think Jean De Mitz was pretty awesome for wanting to save her before she died but it didn't happen.
@abarre6 Yeah I sighed at that too. :< I didn't really think of these two loving each other until I made October with Jeanne d'Arc video.

But for real she was a teenager and he was probabbly like 30 somethin lol even tho Leelee WAS seventeen or at the okdest 19 when she played Joan which is vool :)

Nice video! I LOVE that movie, because Leelee was so cute at this time. I sometimes got tears in my eyes, at the scene were she died in the fire. Jeanne probably never felt in love. She had friendly feelings for Jean Duke of Alencon and promised his wife, she will pay attention for him at the battle of Orleans :D. Jean de Metz was more a minor character, later he reportet "Jeanne, Poulengy and me slept side-by-side when we camped for the night, our garments were closely shut, and I never felt any sexual desire for her."
Whatever, in the movie the love-story was a nice addition and Jean looks pretty good :).

That's a nice song and beautiful video, but you must understand that Joan's love was for God. That doesn't mean that she didn't love others, but not romantically.
