This is one of the only coasters that absolutely terrified me while waiting in line and climbing the lift hill. I'm talking heart palpitations, clammy hands and just pure fear. The whole nine. LOL!!
This ride is really scary but ... once you go you will be both amazed and confused at the same time. It is nuts. And also genius. The designer of this mounstrosity needs a trophy.
That is the sickest most demented fucked up roller coaster I have ever seen! Whoever came up with the idea of playing music along with that creepy ass voice whispering "X2" was genius! This ride looks badasss!
JustAnotherMike I did going up them damn stairs and then I was so scared I had dents in my hands from holding on to tight but it was awesome and my picture looked like I was about to shit my pants😂
This ride is fucking awesome. Whoever designed this must've been demented and wanted to watch people scream their lungs out. I went on it for the first time a couple weeks ago. Highly recommended for people who enjoy feeling like they're on the verge of death lol also.. it's even funner at night
I have honestly never ridden a ride crazier than this one. I remember that feeling of being at the top of the hill...the music stops and the heart beat sound starts. That's literally what my heart was doing! My palms were starting to sweat just watching this!! 😅
When I was in line I was so scared to the point that I was close to having a panic attack. The constant whispering of X2 did not help. But I would never chicken out. When I went on it, I prepared for the worst. But you know what? It wasn't half as bad as I'd imagined it to be. When you get to top of the climb, your chair will flip over and you will shoot down that vertical drop head first, but that motion actually helped eliminated the stomach dropping feeling you normally get on a vertical drop ride. I felt nothing in my stomach, just funnnn! Recommend!
Same exact experience. I hated the banner that says shutting your eyes won't make it go away! Haha so I didn't even bother and now it's my favorite ride.
+Mr. Sarcasm it does go faster for a lot of the rides like goofy sky school, space mountain, big thunder mountain railroad they loosen the brakes so you go faster without getting hard brake stops.
Ceasar Hernandez I went last week, luckily I had my flash pass and the wait was 5 minutes, but the line got so long, there was security and they brought out barricades to extend the original waiting line walkway. It fills up within like 10 minutes after the park opens lol.
I went on this ride not knowing that the carts spun and that I was in the front row, and I’ll tell you, I’m an adrenaline junkie, but I was legit scared going on this ride 😂 I’ve been on more than 50 coasters, and this one takes the cake as the best
I don't know that I'd personally call it the best (it was almost too much for me) but I'd definitely say it's the most intense one I've ever been on. Huuuge adrenaline rush from it but I think it's the one that I would not go on again 😂
I hope they always keep this ride in operation and maintained. The first time I went on it, I had a mild panic attack on the first drop (I've never been that physically shell-shocked by a rollercoaster and the sensation is so intense on the body). But now I know what to expect, going on it is just an exciting experience. There is no other rollercoaster that even compares.
JakeyStar 2014 it uses an epic mechanism that pivots the seat sections on the cars based on how low or high the secondary rails are relative to the primary rails.
I used to be absolutely terrified of roller coasters but I slowly started to love them. I ended up loving this roller coaster so much bc of the spinning chairs, the music, the fire, the adrenaline overall. unfortunately I got a bad fever in 2016 that left me with severe migraines/motion sickness so I can’t enjoy roller coasters anymore. X2 forever has my heart. ❤️
I'm so glad this ride is still around. I remember going to it in its initial version way back in the early 00s, and it still seems like it's still got that surprising bite to it. I miss this coaster.
Haha right?! This was the first one I went on at the park and the first coaster I'd been on in at least fifteen years. I wanted to give myself some warm ups before Goliath... This was a bad choice for that. I honestly feel like Goliath was nothing compared to this. But it made me second guess the whole idea of roller coasters after x2 😂 but I still had a great time
21 21 I was scared shitless of roller coasters when I was like 14 and then I went to Magic mountain so I decided this will be my first ride my friend told me it was the scariest so I thought to myself if I can handle this I can handle all of it it was the scariest/funnest experience of my life I love roller coasters now One of the best memories you gotta go big or go home
When my three friends said this was the easiest ride not only was I fooled but dam this was the hardest ride at six flags to my go getters this ride will change your life the production ride and fulfillment is beyond this world of speed
I remember going on this ride with my dad when I was 14. And I still can't fathom that my dad cried because of this Unlike me I was just getting butterflies in my stomach the entire time! Best time of my life
This was the first major roller coaster i had ever been on and ever since I’ve had a roller coaster addiction. This is literally my favorite ride at six flags and definitely worth the wait IMO😭
2019 rode x2 for the first time. Extreme! Great coaster. It mechanically adjusts even for tall torso people very well. The ride is backwards and inverts and switches back at the right time to give you the best feeling. Laughing, smiling, screaming the whole way. But umm, the wait time... the entrance sign said 2 hour wait. It was 3 hours... I rode almost everything at magic mountain, x2 was the best.
RIP Arrow dynamics......... Thanks for all the great (and not so great) coasters you brought into this world!?! I am especially fond on magnum xl200 and have great memories of drachen fire from when I was a kid. Now my kid loves roller coasters and starting to learn who built what coasters and can usually tell just from looking at the tracks.
well theoreticallky you should not be traumatized from a one time experience that is already over. Get over it you loser bc its not that bad and u couldnt die anyways 🤓
if the train isn't playing the music, just tell the operators working. It's literally just a button they have to push on the side of the train to turn it on. That's what happened to me.
I went on the ride yesterday and out of all the rides at six flags this was the only one that could actually make me scream. Having enter sandman play was just a bonus to the ride.
All my life, I’ve been so terrified to ride this. But I was just so sick and tired of being a wuss and walking away from my fears. my friend encouraged me to get on it and once we were on the chain lift, I instantly regretted it. But all I wanted to do was get over my fear. Even if My reaction was going to come out bad, i just still wanted to experience this ride myself, No matter how scared I was. But it’s not that I was scared of dying, it was because I was bad at handling drops. Ive just ALWAYS been afraid of drops. And because I knew that the drop on this ride goes straight down, facing the ground, it gave me so much anxiety. I just knew it wasn’t going to end well. As soon as the seats went over the first bump, in my mind I was just thinking “welp, you only live once man” And that’s when the seats turned and I was facing down. The drop was so scary but at the same time intensely awesome. It honestly felt like I was being dragged to hell. The way the seats spun at the end of the drop caught me by suprise! Honestly whoever created this ride is smart because The way they designed the seats just made it feel like you were going to fall out! There is just nothing to hold on too except for the shoulder bars which have far away handles, so it made the drop super scary! But I actually just really loved the feeling. It gave me a huge adrenaline rush! And It took all my stress out. And the rest of the ride was just so fast! Usually, all the rides at six flags are so fast that you don’t even feel a thing. But THIS ride, was just so intense, I could feel everything! The way the seats turn and glide around the curves made me feel like I was going to fly out of my seat. And the way the fire shoots right at you is so scary! It was the most intense ride I’ve ever been on at six flags! Definitely a good ride! And probably the only ride I’d be scared to repeat over and over again. But this ride will definitely make you scream! Love it. I also suggest if you are a beginner, don’t ride this! try colossus, full throttle and Goliath first, then you’ll have enough faith to get on this! It’s super fun! And it will numb you from all the other rides! If you can ride X2, you can ride anything! 😌😀
Lol i just went on full throttle today and before it started i was crying because of how scared i was of the loop. Looks like full throttle is nothing compared to thid
Took me a hole day before my son and the o so kind stewards from the ride convinced me to go in. I bailed out like 7 times and it was the last ride of that day before the park closed. We are from Belgium so we were sure that we would not be back like next month for another try. I kept my eyes closed till after the second drop and my son was telling me in detail what i could expect. This is by far THE SCARIEST ride of my life. I literally cried and saw big man crying as well when leaving the ride. Hands down for the constructor!!! Awesome work
This was the first ride I went on for the day and after that I felt like I could take on the world. Definitely recommend this one first. Honestly it wasn’t too bad.
my friends and i went on this ride (for the first time ever) after feeling extremely nauseous from the food we ate and we had no clue how intense this ride would be. we had the best time ever and it is one of the best roller coasters in the park. it somehow made us feel better after the ride ended lol. it’s such an incredible ride!!
Went to six flags for the first time recently and this was my cherry popper ride, it was intense ! My buddy told me to get on because after this one all the rides will feel like nothing ( boy was he wrong, I hated tatsu, that one was the scariest for me) he was right to a point, and it was probably one of the best rollercoasters I've ever been on. Cant wait for more !!
Went on X2 a few days ago and it left my throat hoarse as hell. Easily my favorite ride at Magic Mountain though, and it honestly wasn’t as bad as I was told. Got to go on it 3 times in a row due to the line being incredibly empty, too. For new riders, I would highly recommend keeping your head pinned against the seat, as I let my head be free from the tension and then immediately got slammed back towards the seat. Hurt for a minute or two, but it gave my friend sitting next to me a good laugh!
This ride is so much fun! The first time I went to Six Flags, my dad told me to get on this one with him. Of course I was scared and nervous since it looks terrifying but I’m not the type to chicken out so I got on. His exact words were “if you can handle this one, you can handle any” and he was right! After I got on this one, I wasn’t scared of any ride!
Just rode this the other day. Absolute madman. In case anyone's wondering in 2024, most of the sounds of the guy yelling taunts at you on the lift hill (like 1:21 "you don't scare me. Are you shook up? Are you nervous?!") are the voice of the late R. Lee Ermey. The clips are all from the movie Full Metal Jacket (1987), where he plays a drill instructor who mercilessly berates USMC recruits during boot camp. His scenes are aggressively profane to the point of being hilarious. I yelled almost as many curse words as R. Lee Ermey on this ride. (Also great video! Captured both Tatsu and Viper pretzel loops active on the way up!)
Seriously pure genius whoever designed this. The perfect roller coaster. Ultimate thrill ride to rattle your nerves
It truly is pure genius, but the designers were rewarded with bankruptcy.
Alan schilky designed it. It has two sets of tracks, one for the train and one for the rotation of the seats.

Am I the only one getting anxiety from WATCHING?
JustAnotherMike nope after riding it a couple times yourself this just brings back nightmares from riding it
Oh I had a full blown panic attack on here lol it was fun though
Nope. It's like some Final Destination shit.
JustAnotherMike I did going up them damn stairs and then I was so scared I had dents in my hands from holding on to tight but it was awesome and my picture looked like I was about to shit my pants😂
It's okay at least you did not pass out like my friend (I was not there, she only told me)
This ride is fucking awesome. Whoever designed this must've been demented and wanted to watch people scream their lungs out. I went on it for the first time a couple weeks ago. Highly recommended for people who enjoy feeling like they're on the verge of death lol also.. it's even funner at night
It was manufactured by arrow dynamics
and designed by J̶e̶s̶u̶s̶ Alan Schilke.
Went on this last yr and HOLY FN SHIT!
Hailey Heredia if u really want a ride to be scary as fuck wear headphones with loud ass music on a ride it’s fuckin intense
The same guy that designs all the RMC coasters. That guy is a legend
I have honestly never ridden a ride crazier than this one. I remember that feeling of being at the top of the hill...the music stops and the heart beat sound starts. That's literally what my heart was doing! My palms were starting to sweat just watching this!! 😅
Wow my friend and i literally waited in the freezing cold for 4 hours with our aching feet at the end of the day to go on this ride... worth it
Wait till night we waited 20 min 😂😂
R. Robin the best way to get on it fast is to jump in line right when the park opens...
I went on a monday. I waited 5 mins.
I went at night and only had to wait for 30 minutes
+R. Robin I waited 2 mins
@@solangeramirez7400 I closed my all the way i think it wouldve been at keast a little funner if i had opened them

I remember doing Space Mountain at night, when the ride was going to be shut down, it seemed a lot faster.
+Mr. Sarcasm it does go faster for a lot of the rides like goofy sky school, space mountain, big thunder mountain railroad they loosen the brakes so you go faster without getting hard brake stops.

People were screaming very loud on the first drop
Whatever you do, if you go on this ride, MAKE SURE IT'S THE FIRST ONE.
The wait is LONG in the afternoon.
I just went last week, the wait for this ride was 10min tops.
I went in Summer.
June, not May or July, but the MIDDLE of Summer, which makes places like this packed.
Ceasar Hernandez I went last week, luckily I had my flash pass and the wait was 5 minutes, but the line got so long, there was security and they brought out barricades to extend the original waiting line walkway. It fills up within like 10 minutes after the park opens lol.
I usually go on the big rides in tha mornin'
Like Viper when I went in June
I'm going this week hopefully c:
I went on this ride not knowing that the carts spun and that I was in the front row, and I’ll tell you, I’m an adrenaline junkie, but I was legit scared going on this ride 😂 I’ve been on more than 50 coasters, and this one takes the cake as the best
I don't know that I'd personally call it the best (it was almost too much for me) but I'd definitely say it's the most intense one I've ever been on. Huuuge adrenaline rush from it but I think it's the one that I would not go on again 😂
Yes and yes! Only coaster to actually ever make me scream.
Oh man I say in the front for this once. The fact that after the hill climb, you're facing straight down before the drop freaked me out

But now I know what to expect, going on it is just an exciting experience. There is no other rollercoaster that even compares.

Metallica, Beastie Boys, and then Rage Against the Machine.

It sounds like Kashmir but no, led Zeppelin doesn't play at the end
Don't forget "Aerosmith". It played the part of "Love In An Elevator" that says "going down" when the train goes to the drop.

I've been on this and all I can remember is the first drop. What an amazing ride.
The ride was so scary I did not know what the hell was going on?

When I rode X2 there was no music playing as we went up. I wish there was though, I probably would have been less scared 😂😂
if the train isn't playing the music, just tell the operators working. It's literally just a button they have to push on the side of the train to turn it on. That's what happened to me.

And Rage Against the Machine pulling into the station :)
That intro up the hill gives me the best kind of chills! Seriously gets me so hyped up and I havent even rode this as of yet...but I will 👍🤘
Went on X2 a few days ago and it left my throat hoarse as hell.
As someone who has never seen or heard of this ride before, watching this had my jaw on the floor
I'm like getting MAYJOR ANXIETY watching this😂
