This was a great representation of young leon. His appearance makes him look gentle and innocent, but he's still able to be brave and tough. The voice actor also did a great job at highlighting how he's so optimistic and a bit naive. It really shows how much he's developed when you compare him to later the installments of the game after he's been through so much more.

Agree, but I think this game needed some more more. Heres why and I really think Capcom should off taken some more time on this. Why are the bosses the same regardless which Scenario you do? Shouldn't Leon A fight William and Claire B Mr X, and vis Versa.

They all fight the same boss minus the last one without one remote change like BERKIN having a different form during their second battle with leon and or claire on the platform leading to lab. Its a good game. But lack of adding of the zapping system and having each boss be different than the oG makes no sense. For example Claire B fights Mr X and Leon A fights berkin. Infact! What’s interesting is that Leon in the original canon scenario actually saves Sherry from the lab when Claire gets the vaccine to save the kid.

Having seen the original Resident Evil 2 and this remake, I'm amazed with how much change and progress has been made in terms of story outlook and graphics technology! It's just a matter of time before computer graphics and illusions become visually indistinguishable from reality.
I would honestly hate that tbh. The whole point of games is to get away from "reality". If it starts to look indistinguishable, well, things would get kinda creepy lol. Thats just my opinion tho, I agree with everything else.

The Remake definitely gave more love to Claire in this version than the original RE 2. I really like this decision. In the original RE2, I don't feel anything for Claire and Leon, and Ada was probly the only character that left any impressions for me. But in this new RE2, I really start to like Claire. Great job to the story writers. The 19:28 scene, infuses that interesting chemistry between Claire and Leon, which I really like.
i only played Leon storyline. So after playing RE2 i only have thoughts about this astonishing beautiful Ada with that sexy dress (and the mods that comes with her >:D). Also i loved how Leon looks on RE2. But about Claire, i dislike her new face model, i prefer Infinite Darkness Claire face model. It is just prettier and looks like the original Claire.
It looks like they're using the same engine as RE7. It's interesting that they're able to change a first person mode to third person and still have the engine run smoothly.
I love how - for the lack of better word - “human” Ada acts in this game. It’s very refreshing and I can imagine a professional lady in her field act and handle herself in this situation. I can’t wait to see the Leon B cutscenes! That being said, Claire’s a fucking badass at how she finished Birkin at the end of hers!

That's cuz Claire and Ada each represent a diffr kind of romantic idealism. Claire is sweet, "safe," and still fits well with Leon's character (not a pushover but kinda badass-y). Ada is the exciting, challenging, enigmatic, and sexy femme fatale. Maybe Leon should change to Mormonism and marry both!
I came back here after watching "Welcome to Racoon City." They did my boy Leon so bad in that reboot I just needed to see him be the badass he is in the game.

I strongly believe Capcom has more to offer players in RE2 remake. I think we will see Ada's scenario after she survived the fall. This is a very good remake.
Next remakes will be RE 3: Nemesis and RE: Code Veronica. I'm still hoping that Capcom would considered remaking Dino Crisis 1 & 2, I've really miss those games.
A remake of code veronica would be epic. But i hope they will put some evading move with a stamina bar to limit its use, you get constantly hurt otherwise.
Guys I think Leon is supposed to symbolize justice, purity, hope and victory (of the good) in the RE games. Hence why he is a rookie cop (police =law = justice) and why his name is Leon (Leon = Leo - often in literature the lion represents courage and justice). He’s fighting against the evil which is Umbrella, (in this case umbrella is a symbol of hidden power). Also I think his last name Kennedy is a reference to JFK, who also stood for human and civil rights, and was considered great by many. I think that was the creators intention with his character. Someone who is a silent hero, a silent protector in a corrupt world. Of course my interpretation covers Leon in everything pre-Re6. They drastically ruined his character in Re6 and the movies, which is a shame considering Leon is one of my favorite characters. You get so attached to his character, his heroic actions and moral values make you wish he was real. The same goes for Claire, too.
Capcom needs to make RE8 happen and bring closure to Leon and Ada, Leon's been after her since RE2 but every time he was close to getting her she slipped away, let them be a normal couple already!
What fun is normal anyway? Ada reminds me of Catwoman. In Injustice arcade ending she finally managed to pull Batman and they were an real couple. For a while, and then Catwoman got bored of him and dumped him. Same with Ada, some people just don't handle normal relationships well.

Never played RE until RE4. Then I couldn't get enough. Never thought I would get caught up in the horror/survival genre yet here I am. Looking forward to seeing RE3 and RE4 remasters.
Re4 has the best graphics i've ever seen in a game, like, just the amount of detail they put on hair and skin, how incredibly good the eyes look, even stuff like looking around, blinking, it looks super realistic! Only thing making it distinguishable from rl is the water mechanics (how hair and clothes don't change shape and colour when wet) and the lack of dirt on the people (but they gave ashley's stockings some realistic rips)

A little bit, but throughout the games, Leon and Ada have a complicated relationship. Part of them like each other but they're also determined to see their mission through, which often times leads to confrontation. Best relationship in the series if you ask me.
I thought in original RE2, they kissed before Ada “died”...if I remembered it correctly. It was the version that Ada saved Leon from Tyrant and got herself smashed.
Im more of the impression Claire is the one making more advance in this game. Leon is so naive in this version, not that i hate it, i actually loves it! He is so focused on his responsibility and survival while Claire made it like its walk in the park. Made so much sense since Claire is this badass biker woman while Leon is a green rookie cop.

I don't know why but watching the gas station scene and seeing the sign of "Welcome to Raccoon City" it just made me realize that in this version the zombies were much more wide spread and could have continued to infect people throughout the state. Unlike the original were everything was localized to the city and the Arklay Mountains.
You can play two different characters and you can watch 2 complete scenario. 2 Cool story, 2 horror story, and nice love story. And that's what make resident evil 2 the best story of all the series!! Ada look more beautiful in here.
Did anyone else notice that the Prologue takes place far outside of Raccoon City's City Limits meaning that the Infection has likely spread far beyond it. I guess that means that destroying the city only slowed the rate of infection down.
I liked the intro way more in the original (storywise) first of all Leon and Claire actually arrived at Raccoon city before knowing something was wrong while here they both stop at a gas station, also in the original they looked way more shocked and in fear because of the crazy shits they just witnessed just like every normal person would be in that situation, here they look barely surprised while watching a zombie ripping a guy's throat with a bite. They even spend time flirting later I mean... You are in a freaking zombie infested town, show some concern at least dammit... Also I always appreciate the fact that Claire found a gun in the police car in the original, while here she already carries a gun for some reason (I guess Chris made her go to college armed? Lol), plus the zombie hidden in the back seat that sneaks on Leon causing them to crash was a classic that should have been kept in my opinion, even operation Raccoon city handled the Leon and Claire's RE 2 car crash better... Well at least they kept the storic "get down!" moment.
It takes place in the 90s and she is the sister of a special unit officer who trained her plush she is on the road in a motorcycle alone it seems about right that she is caring a gun. The rest u got a point

Onimusha Warlords is what I want to get a remake. That game was what I grew up with. I'd love to see that come back.
Guys I think Leon is supposed to symbolize justice, purity, hope and victory (of the good) in the RE games.
Hence why he is a rookie cop (police =law = justice) and why his name is Leon (Leon = Leo - often in literature the lion represents courage and justice). He’s fighting against the evil which is Umbrella, (in this case umbrella is a symbol of hidden power).
Also I think his last name Kennedy is a reference to JFK, who also stood for human and civil rights, and was considered great by many.
I think that was the creators intention with his character. Someone who is a silent hero, a silent protector in a corrupt world. Of course my interpretation covers Leon in everything pre-Re6. They drastically ruined his character in Re6 and the movies, which is a shame considering Leon is one of my favorite characters. You get so attached to his character, his heroic actions and moral values make you wish he was real. The same goes for Claire, too.
What makes you think they ruined leon's personality in re6?

What fun is normal anyway? Ada reminds me of Catwoman. In Injustice arcade ending she finally managed to pull Batman and they were an real couple. For a while, and then Catwoman got bored of him and dumped him. Same with Ada, some people just don't handle normal relationships well.

Never played RE until RE4. Then I couldn't get enough. Never thought I would get caught up in the horror/survival genre yet here I am. Looking forward to seeing RE3 and RE4 remasters.

Re4 has the best graphics i've ever seen in a game, like, just the amount of detail they put on hair and skin, how incredibly good the eyes look, even stuff like looking around, blinking, it looks super realistic! Only thing making it distinguishable from rl is the water mechanics (how hair and clothes don't change shape and colour when wet) and the lack of dirt on the people (but they gave ashley's stockings some realistic rips)

A little bit, but throughout the games, Leon and Ada have a complicated relationship. Part of them like each other but they're also determined to see their mission through, which often times leads to confrontation. Best relationship in the series if you ask me.

I don't know why but watching the gas station scene and seeing the sign of "Welcome to Raccoon City" it just made me realize that in this version the zombies were much more wide spread and could have continued to infect people throughout the state. Unlike the original were everything was localized to the city and the Arklay Mountains.
You can play two different characters and you can watch 2 complete scenario.
2 Cool story, 2 horror story, and nice love story.
And that's what make resident evil 2 the best story of all the series!!

Did anyone else notice that the Prologue takes place far outside of Raccoon City's City Limits meaning that the Infection has likely spread far beyond it. I guess that means that destroying the city only slowed the rate of infection down.
I liked the intro way more in the original (storywise) first of all Leon and Claire actually arrived at Raccoon city before knowing something was wrong while here they both stop at a gas station, also in the original they looked way more shocked and in fear because of the crazy shits they just witnessed just like every normal person would be in that situation, here they look barely surprised while watching a zombie ripping a guy's throat with a bite. They even spend time flirting later I mean... You are in a freaking zombie infested town, show some concern at least dammit... Also I always appreciate the fact that Claire found a gun in the police car in the original, while here she already carries a gun for some reason (I guess Chris made her go to college armed? Lol), plus the zombie hidden in the back seat that sneaks on Leon causing them to crash was a classic that should have been kept in my opinion, even operation Raccoon city handled the Leon and Claire's RE 2 car crash better... Well at least they kept the storic "get down!" moment.
It takes place in the 90s and she is the sister of a special unit officer who trained her plush she is on the road in a motorcycle alone it seems about right that she is caring a gun. The rest u got a point

The Strong from what you some of details sounded better for a Zombie game (Finding a gun in po cruiser for lore loot placement, zombie in the backseat for jump scare & Leon's reaction to the cop getting killed felt like his an idiot who doesn't seem to understand that he just killed a cop rather than be shocked that he had to kill someone)
