had several guitars with tune o matic over my 55 years of playing... 7 times i had strings break with top wrap and only one using conventional no wrap. I only used one kind of strings so it is a controled variable
Where would one find the mounting hole locations to install this setup on a blank body? Why is the bridge angled? Why is the scale longer on the low E string?
Good questions. You'ld have to start with a centerline for lateral orientation. Then mark the scale length (Gibson = 24 3/4") and add and extra 1/8" or so to allow for equalized saddle travel. Similarly, the bridge angle is intended to maximize saddle travel for more accurate intonation: larger stings need more scale length compensation, fine strings less so.

If I lift my tail piece to get it off of the bridge, will I just need to re-tune? I cant see anything else affected?
Yep! Shouldn't have to do more than that. Good luck!
Intonation?

Just top wrap the damn thing.
It's intended to be adjustable.
😊I think your bridge is backwards
Because?...
He thinks it’s an abr-1 i guess.
Not for a TOM.
