Hello fellow lovers of this show! We grew up in the best decade did we not?? (I used to wish I had “experienced” the 60’s but now I’m so glad I was alive in the 80’s and 90’s!!!.... last best time to grow up!)
What a memorable time to be growing up in the 80s, with shows like the A-Team, DoH, Knight Rider, Airwolf, The Fall Guy, Hardcastle & McCormick, CHiPs, Magnum PI.......we never knew how good we had it.
Don’t forget Miami Vice, Amazing Stories, Twilight Zone, Tales from the Darkside, War of the Worlds, Friday the 13th The Series, Freddy’s Nightmares, Tales from the Crypt….
For the younger set we had The Muppets and Fraggle Rock. Never mind reruns of Johnny Quest and old school Looney Tunes. If you were Canadian you were watching Beachcombers and The Littlest Hobo before (and probably after) Gretzky Night in Canada on Saturday. And our parents got to watch Cheers, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Hill Street Blues and Murder She wrote. Even Entertainment Tonight was a staple. Ahh Leeza Gibbons. What an era. Much of it was schmaltzy, but it was so pure and honest.
For some reason, the A-Team (the show) got really popular again in the early 2000s when I was in high school. Absolutely loved it! Just the hearing the name automatically recalls that iconic theme song.
The Spike network was airing it in 2002 and there-abouts. That military band type opening+closing theme music and "America F-Yeah" spirit was just what the U.S. needed after 9/11.
Not only good shows, but memorable main theme soundtracks - 60's/70's/80's shows like Mission impossible, Knight rider, A-Team, Hawaii Five-O and many others.
People DID die in The A-Team, but the deaths were only caused by the villains. Also, sometimes people were hospitalised, so The A-Team are called in to make things right. One of my favourite episodes has Hannibal taking the place of the victim at the hospital, and having it out with the criminals when they show up. :)
@@philfitnesspt6139 You're quite right. I had forgotten that story. Quite a dark story for The A-Team. Fulbright's daughter was supposed to join them for Season Five but was changed for Frankie Santana in the end.
what use to get me is BA's fear of flying. The A-team is in LA, they would get jobs or assignment all over the country and at times international location too. "well BA we have to be in chicago by tomorrow." "I AINT FLYING!!!"
Actually, Mr.T was discovered on an NBC show that featured the toughest bouncers. They even had a dwarf throwing competition. Now Stallone might have seen him on there.
He was a private bodyguard in Chicago after he left the Army ( served as a MP) and was very active in dealing with at risk teens in Chicago prior to show business. My Mom worked with him at the youth center and there was never any trouble when he was around. A few times he walked my Mom to the El station and he would wait with her until she was on the train. He might look big and mean but Mr. Teo ( Birth name is Lawrence Teo) but he's a very gentle and humble man..
Ya know looking back, the A Team is probably why I liked Burn Notice so much. Capable individuals with different skills coming together to help the helpless. Would love to see you do a video on burn notice as well 🤘🤘
It could be argued that there have actually been two A-Team film adaptations. The 2010 film and the 1999 film Three Kings which was set during the 1991 Gulf War and where its lead characters were variations of A -Team characters. George Clooney played a version of Hannibal Smith. Mark Wahlberg played a version of Faceman Ice Cube was the BA of the team And SpikeJonz was the Murdock of the group. The movie had the four men as a rogue group of soldiers trying to steal Saddams gold and ending up helping Iraqi civilians in trouble. There even is a female reporter and an Army officer on their tails in the Amy Allen and Col Lynch roles.
That's really interesting. I never saw 3 kings or the A-team movie. Maybe I'll give it a chance, thanks to your review :) Also, just so some of the new or non fans know, when we were fans in the 80s, we had all the toys, trading cards, coloring books, t-shirts, etc. The only thing that none of us had, was the Amy Allen figure. Lol Nothing personal against the character or actress, but we had our 4 stars, and the casting was perfect! Don't you love it when a cast, ( writers, music, special effects and equipment) comes together. Sorry but I had to say it! Cheers from Canada
I wondered why Three Kings seemed to have the comfort of nostalgia, good catch. I might download and watch The A-Team (2010) today - I'd not heard of it before.
Murdock was plumb crazy. That is why his character worked so well. It added so much suspense. You never knew if he was going to lose it or not. We liked Amy. She wasn’t as much of a damsel as others of the era. My mom loved her.
I remember watching this show as a kid. Hannibal, Face, and Mr T. were my favorite characters. I liked the action as a kid, but I appreciate the humor of an adult.
Every episode the A-team shot more bullets than the entire US army in Vietnahm and never hit anything. The when in the most danger they used a washing up bottle, a rubber band, and selotape and made... a tank! Awesome.
The film version really was very well done. In regard to the original television series, here's a couple of extra bits of trivia that go along with the team that can help when no one else can (and, if you can find them): #1, the intro of the show had a funny clip during the announcing of the cast, that being of "Face" (Dirk Benedict) coming across someone dressed as a Cylon, then "Face" making a gesture akin to having de-ja-vu. This is, of course, in reference to D. Benedict's time on the series "Battlestar Galactica." #2. Universal Studios, the studio where "The A-Team" was filmed, had for a time a special "A-Team" promotion that existed along the famous Universal Studios' tour tram-ride in which characters and even the famous van could be seen strategically placed in different places along the tour route, (i.e., Hannibal in his "Creature from the Black Lagoon" costume sitting on some rocks, alongside the area of the "parting of the waters (seas)" section of the tour.)
I always wanted a late 90s early 00s movie version with George Clooney as Hannibal, Brad Pitt as Face, Jim Carrey as Murdoch and Wesley Snipes as Mr T. I think that could have worked
Clooney is too short to play Hannibal. George Peppard was at least six feet tall and dominated the screen as a believable leader and Vietnam veteran. Clowny isn’t as tall and basically plays the same character in every film he does.
All of those choices work except for Snipes. Ving Rhames would have been an awesome BA in a remake. I think they reached out to him for the movie but he wanted too much money.
What happened is Hollywood never understood how a show that like this was so popular. They hated that as it appealed to people they never liked and watched it. The case in an interview said this exact thing. So they did everything they could do cancel it.
It was a massive hit worldwide. Please do an episode on Riptide - helicopter, speedboats, computers...! Or maybe a video on the titans of prime time tv - Stephen J. Cannell, Donald P. Bellisario.
Oh man! Does that take me back! The team sure loved to blow things up on this show. Lol! I remember Boy George singing Karma Chameleon during his guest spot.
The 80's were the best time to be a teen! Murdock was my favorite character in A-Team, he was such a fun character! Dwight Schultz tends to steal the show, when he is on! The fact that they included a Cylon walking past Dirk Benedict with a (looks familiar) reaction was the best part of the opening!
It'd be great to have a sequel or 2 of the movie. I agree. I LOVE the show and the movie was a reboot done right. Update it without losing the flavor of the original. Btw, even with the now dating itself, I think that The A-Team and Hunter are 2 shows that stand up to this day, another great show from the Lupo/Cannell team.
@@sterlingstoots3215 I used to watch it weekly when it was a Saturday night staple on NBC, like SNL and Dr. Madblood (a local horror host here in Virginia). I love the shootouts too. My only complaint was that they were making Hunter more of a drama in later seasons, as opposed to the Dirty Harry-esque show it started as. It started like a cop version of The A-Team and ended more like Law and Order. I like L&O, but not in my Hunter.
In my country the series was called Esquadrão Classe A (Class A Squadron) and had been dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese in the 90's, which was the version I grew up with. Murdock, if memory serves, would call Face 'Cara de Pau' often. The original dubbed version premiered here in 1984 and was then called Soldados da Fortuna (Soldiers of Fortune. I was today's old when I found that the series had premiered here in my year of birth. Learned something new today!)
Obrigada! (Hope I got that right!). Enjoyed your comment. Love this part of the internet, glimpses of perspectives from people all over the world. I’m in the Canadian Prairies, A-Team was in re-runs (hilariously erratic + out of order chronologically, so even more surreal) on non-cable when I was young -I was really into Murdoch, he made “crazy” look like a superpower, & my fam has lots of diagnosed crazy so Little Kid Me appreciated that - & I get a kick out of your title translations. “Soldiers Of Fortune” rings a bell; I can’t remember but I feel like it was used as an alternative title by multiple countries where it translated well. Maybe Brazilian Portuguese was the first? Brazil is so multifaceted. I was lucky enough to meet a musicologist & his partner, a Bahian dancer, while in university. He was doing a Masters on unique rhythms within a particular subgenre solely associated with traditional dance originating in Bahia & he was trying to record + document as much as possible before that form of it disappeared or roots buried bc it’d been “discovered” by people beyond the specific cultural groups who used it in a context that was really different to the industries that produce art or dance for demographics of public. So it was in the process of being “modernized”, often in good faith by talented musicians, esp some Bahian hiphop-influenced artists using samples or parts of beats, but as usual alongside the real artists trying to explore it legitimately, there were also “commercial cannibalizing” vultures circling, smoothing it out to appeal to as broad audience as possible, & integrating it with that shiny tourist pan-Brazil thing they do in international promo that flattens the astonishing diversity + richness of the many cultures + influences in Brazil, from before the Spanish til today. Apologies; I wish I could remember the name of the music/dance or the various groups practicing it. It was nicher than niche plus I was ignorant eep but I remember a lot of the narratives, eg his research helped trace it further back to an enclave of Afro-Brazilians who found a home & refuge in a part of north Bahia with 3 different indigenous peoples. Anyways it was sooo specific that when the couple noticed I couldn’t follow too deeply bc I lacked background, they made music mixes that were field-recorded examples of different music systems + rhythms from dozens & dozens of different regional groups globally, so I could ear-train a bit, including Brazil. I’m pretty sure my Eldritch Ex stole those. But thankfully I still have many mixes the musicologist made for me that was like a “history of commercially recorded Brazil”, with reference points from the 1920s to the early 80s, mostly foundational + vintage popular artists. Then I got hooked on alt-Brazilian films from the 70s -90s lol but that’s another story. Lol sorry about the length, you got my brain reminiscing & I bet I know what the rest of my day will sound like🤩 Anyways thanks, that put a smile on my face. Haven’t thought of this in years. Ok off to listen to Secos & Molhados Sangue Latino 50x in a tow now lol
I remember the Military Police posse pursuing the team in the early seasons. It was led by Colonel Decker played by the great character actor Lance LeGault and his second in command was played by Carl Franklin who later became a director of some renown. They added to the fun.
I remember a specific rainy day in elementary school and in after-school care we watched TV. All the boys literally took over the TV, and I remember being surprised that no only am I not the only boy in my school who likes the A-team…. BUT…. EVERY boy in the school liked the A-Team.
I don't think they expected it to last more than 1 season . The intro voiceover for S1 says "Ten years ago...." Which was changed to "In 1972..." for S2
We got it inhe 90ties in Poland, with the first cable. If I remember correctly it was on Italian owned channel that also runed the first anime with Italian dubbing and polish "lektor" over it. I was really addicted to that show, Murdock was also my favourite.
And never actually shot anyone. They'd unload automatic weapons at pursuers who never caught a slug. They'd just turn and run like scared girls. It was amazing! And Mr. T carried it, which was abundantly clear when Damnation Alley came out! He never let go of Banacek.
I feel so lucky to have been brought up in the 70s and 80s. Watch the A-Team on telly and then go outside (yes kids outside! That's where we used to play) and then re-enact the show. Thanks for bringing the memories back 👍🏼
Loved the A-Team. It brightened up Saturday early evenings on ITV in the 1980s in the UK. The fact no one died after all the battles and violence (e.g. one scene had a helicopter crash into a hill side, burst into flames, and the occupants managed to all stumble out of it), did make it laughable, but it was a family show. Right! I'm going to track down the feature film. Must watch that again. 👌🏿 🎬🌟👏🏾
I hate that vanity hurt so many great television series, the A-team and Three’s Company, The West Wing to name just 3… but I wonder how great and many more seasons we (the audience) missed out on because so many actors thought it was all about them.
I still say to this day, you get past all the 80's camp and cheese and the basic formula of the A-Team was near flawless. Action, guns, car chases, planes, helicopters, and all the crazy weapons and vehicle concoctions the team whipped up to fight the enemy with. The good guy theme of misunderstood patriots who always helped out the little guy, and punished the bullies. And the casting was brilliant. Not just the actors themselves who were perfect, but also the mix of characters... Hannibal the brains, BA the brawn, Face the smooth talker, and Murdock the crazy man. A formula so many times attempted to be imitated, but never quite mastered the way the A-Team pulled it off.
They wanted Mr. T to be the big tough guy in the group and the original Face (from the Pilot) was too big and tall as they stood next to each other. The network wanted the pilot episode Face but the creators wanted Dirk B. :)
Wish I could Like this comment 25x bc you incorporated “sucka” *. * NOTE: my part of Canada spells it with an end “h”, ie “suckah”. But hmm your spelling is sleeker & more aerodynamic-looking - very BA - without losing the sound, so I may have to betray my country for this & go with your take + use the “no h” from now on. Sorry🇨🇦but I swear to uphold the oddball “u” in other Canadiana words & I will never stop calling them “gaunch” unless it becomes a slur or I learn it’s a slur somehow somewhere to someone. I’m not dying on a hill of gaunch & I’d rather be nice to folks; I can find synonyms for “underwear” if I must lol.
I watched the TV series when it originally aired and I have seen the new movie. As a boy I got my favorite character Hannibal in the 6" action figure line and my two brothers got the 6" Murdock and B.A. I have tried to watch the TV series again as a adult and I just couldn't get into it. The movie was good but forget able. I think if I never see The A Team again I am good. It's definitely a product of it's time. Amy was great and I am unhappy with the way she was treated by George Peppard. In fact it's odd that Hannibal is my favorite character but I don't like the actor who played him. As long as no one tries to remake it with a all female cast everything is good.
There is a 2nd death during that season 4 episode. General Fulbright gets shot by the miltary guy then Hannibal launches some kind of grenade at the guy and it lands right in the window where he is before the whole room blows up. You don't see ludicrous gibs or anything but it is clearly inferred that the miltary guy has been blwown to bits. The only reason I picked up on this was that I recently re-watched a lot of The A-Team episodes again, having loved it when it was first shown on UK television in the 80s. I was specifically curious about season 5 because I had done a bit of geeking out reading about it's very crazy production. In one episode where the team return a magical crystal skull to jungle tribe (that really happens!) you can clearly hear while the tribe are celebrating the team's success that they are chanting "who wrote this?" over and over again, it's surreal.
The A-Team was an awesome show, and the movie was perfect as a trial reboot. They even released a Director's Cut version that has extra scenes and a couple of changed dialogues. Too bad it bombed in the box office, it would have been great to have a sequel.
My favorite show back in my teenage years. I loved Amy. As a young teenager, she was probably the first woman I ever fell in love with. I can still feel the disappointment when her character was gone by the third season.
Incorrect there were actually a.few deaths 2 in s.5 at least 2 in s.4 1 in s.3 maybe more. 1 in s.2 and St least 1 in s.1 that's 7 that I can think off also the odd death mentioned especially in episode with boy george
Nah wasn't great you just can't replicate the original show as they had so much talent in 4.stars anything else is like watching a poor copy they should brought back the original stars who were still alive obviously that would been great movie all 3 were were still young enough to have done it in 2010 but stupid Hollywood always wants current stars and hence it didn't work! Only one ba face and murdock.
Thank you! I really enjoyed watching this video. I was a preteen-teen at the time and loved this show. I have to say, Melida Culea "Amy" was my favorite character. Sorry!, can't help it. But they were all great and Dwight Schultz "Murdock" was really quite brilliant. I too loved the 80's! Thank you again for all your hard work on the video. It was really well done. You are appreciated! And please keep them coming.👍👏
I found Lt. Barclay to be hard to swallow on Star Trek The Next Generation. A character like that would never get into Starfleet. He totally took me right out of the show when he appeared.
Loved the A-Team as a kid. Fond memories. And don't forget the Mr. T cereal you could eat on Saturday morning while watching his cartoon TV show. I had the smaller A-Team action figures they made that were the size of the 80's GI Joe figures. They became my special teams operatives with the rest of my GI Joe toys when someone was needed for some gritty covert action against Cobra. Good times.
My dad is now 82 and he loves The A-Team! This is now our second go around on MeTV. This was my first time to see it as well. He calls Face "Lover Boy"!🤣 It is fun to watch The A-team with him and I am grateful for the opportunity to spend fun quality time together.
My younger brother and I loved this show. I was in second grade and my buddies and I would play A-Team at recess! I was always Face, my two best friends were Murdock and Hannibal. BA was always imaginary because no one could ever even pretend to be that awesome! Haha!! The personas fit us all the way through high school. The guy that played Murdock and I are still best friends and we’re 46 years old! This video brought back great memories.
My childhood wouldn't have been the same without the a team, my goodness those times after school and on Saturdays, just magical times, kids today have no idea how amazing the 1980s where.
My neighborhood friends and I used to regularly "play" A-Team. We would come up with some sort of "mission" and take roles as the 4 guys and a few bad guys. I was always Face unless I lost rock paper scissors and had to be a bad guy 🤣
Mine do, I found all 5 seasons and we've been watching one episode regularly every week since august, after school and before their swimming lessons...They like Murdock the best, BA comes in as a close second...
My dad gifted me a box set of the original 5 seasons for my birthday after he saw how much I enjoyed the 2010 reboot (I'd never seen the original). The box set was a mini version of the A-Team Van that you opened the backdoors of to pull out a tray with the 5 DVDs. Spent much of that summer just watching those DVDs, had the theme song memorized.
The A Team....the only Soldiers in history who somehow manage not to actually kill the enemy when shooting a weapon... Or exploding a vechicle or building. Yet somehow as kid in the 80's this was real action packed "fun" and that's something lacking in today's entertainment.
The problem with the new A-Team movie was that the movie The A-Team was killing. It completely changed the tone of the film in relation to the series. The show was basically family friendly entertainment featuring a crew of mercenaries who never kill anyone despite throwing lead around and flipping cars every 5 minutes. The film, meanwhile, took on a dark, even depressive character due to the fact that the A-Team killed without mercy.
I'm an 80's kid and this is personally the most nostalgic Jo Blo review you've ever made. I say that after watching all your reviews religously. This one just hit different! Bravo Jo Blo...Bravo!
I don't have a problem admitting that, as a kid growing up in the UK, I actually had an A Team van, though I can't remember who made it. Then, as an adult, I bought a Ford transit (as close to BA's van you could get in the UK) and painted it matt black with the red stripe down each side and on the roof. To use an American word, it was awesome.
this series was easily my top favorite series of the decade. when it aired in my country, it was after 10pm, already past my bedtime, but i would stay up and watch it. i was bummed when i heard news that we wouldnt get a sequel to the 2010 movie. i thought it did the spirit of the tv series justice. my only pet peeve was that the revenge against Lynch was planned by Face instead of Hannibal.
In my opinion GI Joe renegades is just as good as a team . Instead of Mr t they have Snake Eyes ! And I also love to reboot movie they did and didn't realize it's already been 12 years 😂
it would be awesome if you did an episode on Wiseguy, that show broke huge ground by having the multi-episode story arcs that are common place in Today's TV world.
As a kid I had this Hot Wheels van, and I simply wouldn't leave my house without it. I was around age 9 or so at the time. In Chile they called this show Los Magnificos, lit. The Magnificents
Exactly. I am shocked at the amount of people dreaming of a new version, knowing darn well that it would be woke garbage that fans would hate. I mean, if they want an all female A-Team where Face is a trans-gender non-binary person and Mrs. T is a butch, then whatever! Oh, they can keep Murdock as a white man so that he can be made to look stupid and get put in his place in every episode, while being forced to stay in a cage wearing only leather fetish gear. They can be hired to tackle inequality, to make sure everyone gets representation, to battle MAGA supporters, to help those crossing the border, and to battle toxic masculinity and homophobia wherever it abounds!🙄 Oh, and no guns! Their weapons will be their sassiness and running their mouths!🤣
The show was a much watch for kids all over the world! I grew up in Ireland in the 80s & we loved the A-Team it was must see TV! My favourite character was Murdoch! I even had the toy black van! ,👊👊👊
I recently watched this a couple years ago again when my local library got the DVD box sets. It was a fun series, and enjoyed it all these decades later. Still have some Marvel comics when this was big. This, Knight Rider, Air Wolf, Street Hawk, Manimal, Automan. While some only lasted one season, will always be part of my childhood. Magnum PI as well, although on to late for me so I never got to watch it.
I loved the A-Team! It had great characters, good humor, & great action. Now it was a total wienerfest, they never could get a decent female character for some reason, but I still liked it. If they had a female character it was usually a love interest. My mother hated it, which was another reason I loved it. Funny watching this review I don’t remember these females even being in it.

1000000% YES for a reboot!!!
Me too, I was born in '79 so I remember some of the 80' and the 90' was the greatest decade to grow up in...
Born in 78, my 1st memories are from 81, the 80's were epic in ways we're only now realising.
i love those replies, see me being great i was there bullshit. all you guys and girls make my day. thanks for that
A-team.... Dukes of Hazzard... Knight Rider.... My 80s kid holy trinity.
Don't forget airwolf. :)

20+ years later people still say "I love it when a plan comes together" and "I ain't getting kn no plane". Just that alone is a legacy.
Yes, it makes for a lot of good laughs. It never gets old!😅

I had this exact realization about myself not too long ago. The A-Team and Burn Notice are two of my all-time favorite TV shows. 👍🏿👍🏿
For me Burn notice was a compo of the A team Macgyver and the Equalizer :)
@@Tycowiz MacGyver! Another favorite! Well said
Especially The Fall of Sam Axe.
I loved the A-Team. Burn Notice is the closest thing to the A-Team for this generation. I strongly encourage A-Team fans to check it out.

I might download and watch The A-Team (2010) today - I'd not heard of it before.
I saw Three Kings. I never got an A-Team vibe from it. The show absolutely sucked.
I was going to say that myself and a friend always saw Three Kings as a spiritual successor to The A Team programme.
What a take👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I have to look @ this movie differently now
Murdock was plumb crazy.
You took Face over Murdock?! 🤔
I grew up in the 80s as a kid Fall guy, A- team ! You for get to mention Benny Hill played the A - team in his show . Hilarious !!! 😅😅😅
The Benny Hill parody was a hoot.
Could definitely have worked but I dread to think what they would do to it now!!!
Not sure about Carrey and Snipes. ESPECIALLY Snipes😆. The other three would’ve been interesting.
They'd do a Ghostbusters 2016 on it. And then blame us for not liking it
Clooney is too short to play Hannibal.
Stephen J Cannel could do no wrong starting with Rockford
contrary to popular belief MR. T NEVER says "I pitty the fool" he said it only in Rocky III
Mr. T: "I piddy the fool who don't subscribe to JoBlo."
Hunter Is a gem but nobody I know has ever heard of it I watched it daily. Best gunfights

I miss shows like this. Just popcorn munching fun.🎉
So it was in the process of being “modernized”, often in good faith by talented musicians, esp some Bahian hiphop-influenced artists using samples or parts of beats, but as usual alongside the real artists trying to explore it legitimately, there were also
“commercial cannibalizing” vultures circling, smoothing it out to appeal to as broad audience as possible, & integrating it with that shiny tourist pan-Brazil thing they do in international promo that flattens the astonishing diversity + richness of the many cultures + influences in Brazil, from before the Spanish til today.
Lol sorry about the length, you got my brain reminiscing & I bet I know what the rest of my day will sound like🤩
Anyways thanks, that put a smile on my face. Haven’t thought of this in years.
Ok off to listen to Secos & Molhados Sangue Latino 50x in a tow now lol
The A-Team was so iconic that even a version of G.I. Joe called Renegades based their series on them.
I remember the Military Police posse pursuing the team in the early seasons. It was led by Colonel Decker played by the great character actor Lance LeGault and his second in command was played by Carl Franklin who later became a director of some renown. They added to the fun.
First think I noticed about this video. No Decker. But I can't remember when he replaced Lynch
@@williamwilson3161 it was in when you coming home lone rangers s.2 two parter.
The A Team, Dukes of Hazzard and MacGyver : the holy trinity of badass 80s shows
it's a shame that _Dukes of Hazzard_ never had a character named Murdock; then it would be an even holier trinity!
Amen brother 👍
Yeah
A-Team, Knight Rider and Mc Gyver were my favorite childhood shows.
That was the best show. The A Team, Knight Rider, Dukes, etc. There were some awesome shows back then
Yes. Was class of 1980
A brilliant 80’s tv show 📺👌👌👌👌
The A-team kicked ass! That’s why us 80’s kid love it.
And never actually shot anyone. They'd unload automatic weapons at pursuers who never caught a slug. They'd just turn and run like scared girls. It was amazing! And Mr. T carried it, which was abundantly clear when Damnation Alley came out! He never let go of Banacek.
@@lonefriar4700 thats the evidence of great marksmanship these army rangers A-Team has
As a Vietnam Veteran I have a soft spot for this show even tho it's totally whacked out and it has Mr T a big reason it was a hit
So Mr.T was not just a well-known actor on the A-Team but the HIGHEST paid on that show. And this was the 80's. Awesome.
They got the casting spot on. The best tv programme ever.
How ?
I loved this show as a kid and still love it today. To tell you truth I still hum the theme song whenever I am fixing something. GREAT REVIEW!
Met Face and Murdock on a convention once. It was awesome.
They wanted Mr. T to be the big tough guy in the group and the original Face (from the Pilot) was too big and tall as they stood next to each other. The network wanted the pilot episode Face but the creators wanted Dirk B. :)
Awesome video! I was obsessed with the A-team when I was a kid. I'm so glad to see it get some recognition. Great job, sucka!
Murdoch was so crazy that at times he imagined he was aboard a Starship flying through the Galaxy, and he didn't like that either.
And Crystal Skull is one of the shows worst episodes too!
@@stevenbootes1979 A lot of season 5 episodes are quite shaky but it does stand out amongst the others as a proper mess 😆
I was so lucky to grow up in 80s. Almost every evening something awesome was on
That show was one of the most violent shows ever but no one actually died.
true savage but merciful.
Incorrect there were actually a.few deaths 2 in s.5 at least 2 in s.4 1 in s.3 maybe more. 1 in s.2 and St least 1 in s.1 that's 7 that I can think off also the odd death mentioned especially in episode with boy george
There should have been a sequel to the movie
Damn shame that didn't happen
Nah wasn't great you just can't replicate the original show as they had so much talent in 4.stars anything else is like watching a poor copy they should brought back the original stars who were still alive obviously that would been great movie all 3 were were still young enough to have done it in 2010 but stupid Hollywood always wants current stars and hence it didn't work! Only one ba face and murdock.

Thank you again for all your hard work on the video. It was really well done. You are appreciated! And please keep them coming.👍👏
The movie was almost good, but for some reason they never used the theme tune, which was like the 5th member of the team!
WTF happened to The A Team? Boy George appeared in it, that's what.
Please do a WTF episode on "The Fall Guy."
Really enjoyed the A-team especially during my childhood, still have it on dvd. My favourite character was Murdock :)
I never missed an episode as a kid, I LOVED this show!! Even didn't hate the movie. But the OG is a brilliant good time!
Calling Broccoli a TNG "fan favorite" is the funniest thing I heard in a while.
Not necessarily a fan fave but I thought Lt. Barclay was an interesting character.
@@Poizenne He was something alright. The episode of him in the holodeck was comedy gold.
Good times.
My Papa was in his 80s when this show aired. It was the only non golfing event he allowed on his TV
I loved this show, I remember Saturdays in Ireland, had this show, nightider and baywatch all together or close together. What a time.
The 80s and 90s were a magical time to grow up
This is one of my favourite TV shows, when I was a kid I used to watch this all the time when they rereleased the episodes on TV
Greatest show of my youth. Followed by Air Wolf, Street Hawk, and Knightrider.
I still say "I love it when a plan comes together" at every possible opportunity in life😂
The A Team....the only Soldiers in history who somehow manage not to actually kill the enemy when shooting a weapon...
We need a sequel to the movie. Perhaps adding Triple A & Frankie
I used to love watching this after school when I was a little kid. Sure they were reruns, but it was fun to watch with my dad.
this series was easily my top favorite series of the decade. when it aired in my country, it was after 10pm, already past my bedtime, but i would stay up and watch it.
i was bummed when i heard news that we wouldnt get a sequel to the 2010 movie. i thought it did the spirit of the tv series justice. my only pet peeve was that the revenge against Lynch was planned by Face instead of Hannibal.
In my opinion GI Joe renegades is just as good as a team . Instead of Mr t they have Snake Eyes ! And I also love to reboot movie they did and didn't realize it's already been 12 years 😂
"They're trying to fly the tank" - one of the best quotes in cinema history :)
I love the A team. Takes me back to my children hood. Even my 7yr old is some how looking at the show with me waiting for Hannibal to make a plan.
As a child of the 80's, I loved the movie. I literately teared up with laughter at the line "they're flying a tank."
It's impressive how they made such a ridiculous premise work for the movie.
Point of order... BA's first name was BOSCO, not "Brasco".
it would be awesome if you did an episode on Wiseguy, that show broke huge ground by having the multi-episode story arcs that are common place in Today's TV world.
I miss the times when TV shows were about flipping bad guys' cars over rather than brutally murdering them.
The 80's were the decade when movies where great and men were not ashamed of their masculinity. Life was good.
I pity the fool who don't eat my cereal!
As a kid I had this Hot Wheels van, and I simply wouldn't leave my house without it. I was around age 9 or so at the time. In Chile they called this show Los Magnificos, lit. The Magnificents
As much as I love the A-Team this isn't the time to bring it back. The industry is in the business of ruining great iPs.
I even had the toy black van! ,👊👊👊
Small error here. You said It was GENERAL lynch on the show. It’s colonel on the show.
The reboot movie needs a sequel so badly, it was a fantastic action movie
I recently watched this a couple years ago again when my local library got the DVD box sets. It was a fun series, and enjoyed it all these decades later. Still have some Marvel comics when this was big. This, Knight Rider, Air Wolf, Street Hawk, Manimal, Automan. While some only lasted one season, will always be part of my childhood. Magnum PI as well, although on to late for me so I never got to watch it.
Loved it only person to ever die in the a team General Fulbright
I loved the A-Team! It had great characters, good humor, & great action. Now it was a total wienerfest, they never could get a decent female character for some reason, but I still liked it. If they had a female character it was usually a love interest. My mother hated it, which was another reason I loved it. Funny watching this review I don’t remember these females even being in it.
