🌻 ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN CORNBREAD 🌻
In 2016 my husband and I retired from active duty army family life and planted roots in Alabama. We started a homestead from scratch, and shared that journey here on UA-cam. In 2022 we answered the call to the mountains of Arkansas, where we are starting that journey once again.
I post videos to encourage families to embrace growing food, cooking real food and living a simpler, slower, faith-filled life. I am a whole bible believer, and share my passions for the home and the Father.
Here on Cosmopolitan Cornbread some of what you will see include:
🌻 Cooking from Scratch 🌻Homesteading
🌻 Raising Chickens 🌻 Raising Goats
🌻 Gardening 🌻 Organic Gardening 🌻 Food Preservation
🌻 Bible Devotionals 🌻 Faith 🌻Whole Bible 🌻
🌻 Women Homesteaders 🌻DIY 🌻 Natural Living 🌻 Natural Health
🌻 Home Ec Lessons 🌻 How to Cook, Bake and Can
Getting back to the basics as the Father intended.

We would appreciate your continued prayers for Oklahoma. Sulphur and Marietta and Holdenville had EF 4's and Ardmore had a an EF 3. I'm about 30 minutes from Sulphur. More storms are predicted for tonight and rain all next week. Flooding is an issue too. Thank you so much . Shabbat Shalom 🙏
Praying over you and yours, and your area. God bless and keep you all... ❤🫂
❤ I enjoy the calmess of this chat & work video. Working along side you like friends up here on my homestead. 😊
When we were kids we would always pick the yellow flowers to suck on ..they seemed way sweeter haha never thought about honeysuckle jelly!! That sounds delish 🤤🤩
Sending prayers that everyone stays safe during all the crazy weather 🫶🏽
Enjoyed your video. I can’t wait to see your pottery choices! Enjoy yourself and God bless your trip.😊
if you tell 911 that you have a storm shelter they will check with you after the storm to make sure your not trapped inside
Happy Friday! Hope the jelly turns out and the pottery is plentiful 😂 stay safe and take care! 🙏
I would love to see a video on the honeysuckle jelly. I have a ton of honeysuckle on my property.
Enjoy your trip. Your hair looked so pretty! Can’t wait to see what pottery you come home with!😘❤🙏🏻✨
Thank you! 🤗
My sister in law surprised me and sent me my mom’s prayer scarf that her dearest friend had made for her. I cried when I saw it. It’s so beautiful and I have my mom with me
Aww! What a sweet gift!
Honeysuckle Jelly sounds wonderful. I love the smell of Honeysuckles.
I love foods with a touch of spice. My dad loved hot peppers. When I was a kid, he would give me a quarter or 50 cents to eat hot pepper. I always won - lol.
Glad you were ok from the storm.
Oh my goodness! I’m such a spice wimp. LOL
I bet the jelly will be awesome!!!! Please be careful on your trip tomorrow- prayers for safe travel. Have fun! I love pottery! Can’t have enough pottery. Enjoy!!! By the way you look so lovely, Constance! I love that blouse and your hair do! You just look so comfortable and I just love your style! Take care and God bless y’all!
Thank you 😊
So glad that the storm passed over you. That recipe looks good... thankyou. Shabbat shalom. Enjoy the sky-water! 😊❤🫂🌱🌱🌱🦘
Honeysuckle jelly sounds very interesting, is there something similar the taste reminds you of? Making a tea and freezing to make the jelly later is a great option. I hope you have lots of fun at the Pottery Show and...I hope you show us what goodies you got 🙂 I am SO happy you like the prayer scarf, I loved that the designer came out with a new one for HOPE. You are an instrument for giving me hope, calmness, encouragement, and enjoyment, thank you and God bless you. Shalom.
It is really hard to describe. Sort of fruity, sort of herbal. It is its own flavor :)
I LOVE the scarf! Thank you SO MUCH!! I actually went and ordered another one from them :D
@@CosmopolitanCornbread OH that's wonderful!!!! Thanks for telling me 😊
Hi Constance! You do as many videos as you want & whatever kind & we will be there! You’re such an excellent teacher & I am curious… Do your daughter in laws learn from you? My Mother in law taught me a lot! Enjoy your trip & be safe🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I answer questions as asked, but I don’t impose 😉
Look for to see you whenever possible. Yes. The storms were exciting. I prayed for you because I knew you were in the path. Love your outdoor videos.
So happy nothing happened the other night. Wind and rain I can handle but like anyone else I don't like tornados. Glad you had a chance to pick some honeysuckle . I remember the first time you made it on your channel. Have a wonderful weekend and safe trip 🤗💓💕💞
I would like to make the honeysuckle jelly so maybe I can get to pick some of mine and also have a wonderful time at the pottery trip have a safe day
We put hot sauce on everything too and joke that it's a drink.
My husband is a fiend for hot salsa. We grow habanero peppers and I make him some really hot salsa. I cannot inhale when stirring the stuff. The last batch I made was 65 pints. I tell him he has no idea what his food tastes like because he puts the salsa on everything before he even tastes his food. So, I know where you’re coming from!
Oh my! I don’t think I could even make that. 🌶️
I am always glad to see your videos! When I was growing up we had wonderful fragrant honeysuckle. Now we just have the "look like honeysuckle plant" I'm not sure what it's called but it's not fragrant at all.
Every good thing I grew up with have all disappeared or died. Like honeysuckle and bees and maypops. Our plums and figs are dying as well. So sad.
My husband & I always joke about how the local channels cover our weather with the term "pop-up showers". I'm really thankful they don't use that term for "pop-up tornadoes"!
I do have a question about jellies made with honeysuckle, redbud and such.
I do these flowers need to be washed before using them?
I do wash the blossoms off by giving them a quick soak and rinse in cold water.
Post Offices are cracking down on Nomads and PO boxes.
I think it’s a shame. There’s definitely much more pressing things that should be of greater concern…
We just moved from Greenwood to Huntington! You most be close to us! Hope to run into you sometime!
If you ever see me, please feel free to say hello!
@CosmopolitanCornbread yes ma'am, sure will. I see you pick up your Azure order in FS, we just started a drop in Witcherville, not sure if thats closer for you or not
Can any honeysuckle flowers be used? I have a bush honeysuckle not a vining type. I understand some flowers can be toxic. Really would like to make the jelly. Made dandelion last year and plan on also making lilac jelly.
Yes, there are some varieties that are considered toxic, but I do know that many shrubs and vining honeysuckles are edible. You would likely need to do a little homework and verify which version you have.
What alert service do you use for tornado alerts?
We have a weather radio, the “emergency alert system” as well as weather apps
