This looks sick, tbh. I've been beaten by this strat today and now, thanks youtube, I was suggested with this video. I was playing the 2-TC Rus as well, lol.
@@Valdemar1902 So, I got this matchup again today. Skipped the second TC and went full knights + archers, beat the shit out of malians in 12 minutes. Poor lad could not even place his second pit mine. Thanks for 20 pts, Valdemar! 👍
Thanks for that video! I prefer that landmark also, it gives a really good basic eco and your unit production variety is better then just farimba. When you run out of gold farimna is useless while this Landmark gives you opportunity to switch between all units. I like to do it with a 2tc build to protect the 1st gold mine
I'd like to see a replay where you go this build while being pressured more. Cows are certainly very powerful when you get them going, but it does seem very vulnerable. I'd also like to see a replay where your opponent goes with a faster boom that requires an immediate answer, such as Mongol silver tree trade, a HRE player going fast castle with Regnitz and trying to take all the relics, etc.
In that case, I would recommend you check out my stream where I use my build orders regularily and show how to respond to different playstyles from the opponent. :)
This is great information. its odd for people because its a castle rush, with an economic investment, instead of the military investment of farimba. This will go into my BOs options for Malians for sure. Thank you!
How do you deal with armored units (specifically MAA) in feudal and castle when you don't have access to the gunners yet (age4). Archers even w Poison arrows seems to only do good against small group, but in a big fight, they cant deal with armor.
Hey, thanks for a really nice tutorial. Have gone Farimba and it dosent feel sufficient in longrun and in higher ranks. Two things, how would u separate villagers if u per say had to buy 2 barracks early to defend etc. Guess it comes with time. And saw that u didnt upgrade your goldmine until later, is that to produce faster for the trees or was it just a slip? Thanks allot that u bring some love to the Malians :)
Seems like a tricky BO (I mean here you faced no aggression whatsoever), but once it comes online it is strong. I've seen the Africa Duo match where a Mali pulled off the Grand Fulani Corral and easily fought 1v2 for 10 minutes or so (I believe it was louieMT). Beasty isn't very fond of this landmark, is he? Perhaps, you can convince him of this approach ;)
I have an issue in low elo (Bronze facing Silver/Gold) where the enemy almost always forces max troops as fast as possible while terrorizing me and walling off the map. I’m trying to figure out how to counter this. Any tips? Build orders like this don’t work at my elo because the enemy is in my base very early with like 50 cheap troops somehow. But when I try with any civ I can only get half the troops they can. It’s very frustrating and lowering my will to even play, although it’s a great game.
It sounds like you don’t scout properly. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be surprised when the enemy attacks you. Make units when you see them going aggro, then at a slower pace, get the cows and pastures up so army can also be produced
@@Valdemar1902 That probably is my issue. I’m still trying to learn how to manage my scout, and all the villagers at my base, at the same time. I think I just need to practice hot keys for a bit to get things going faster.
Well then...I've lost a lot of rank trying this build and civ. Can't seem to get anything going vs. any civ so far. Conq 1 to Diamond 1 in a few hours lol
@@Valdemar1902 I did that to the best of my ability. I lost more than half my games from a position of being ahead, raiding and controlling the map well. I just always lose some big fight because I overestimate how good my units are, and they are in fact very flimsy and then it snowballs against me :( Mali is just not for me I think. Next day regained all the rank with mostly Abbasid, so it's all good. Still enjoying your content a lot :)
Yes, they are quite difficult to get good with, and their civ structure being heavily reliant on passive income, a unique unit roster and they can be hard to macro too. Though if you get into them, they are incredibly strong and fun to play as well :)
nice bulid, not realistic thou for smaller games. some teamates follow this then they have hard time. would be nice to see same bulid while having an army.
they find hard time to manage the economy, once they need to make some units, the whole bulid order crashes and then all is delayed. a bulid with a small def/agg would set some of us on a better starting track. not to mention its advantage in team games.
Nice build order with a nice replay to illustrate your points! Btw would you mind not saying "So!" so often? It distracts the viewer from your great content
So? Didn't even notice it and when you consider English probably isn't his native language etc Also do you pull Beasty up when he says "Right" after nearly every sentence? ;>
I hope you have noticed me repeatedly describing throughout the video, how being under pressure necessitates production of units and diverging from the build order. I also have a disclaimer in the description saying: "you have to adapt". It is impossible to make a build order that doesn't crumble to some form of event in the game, so you should merely use this build as a guide and apply common sense to each game. Next time you consider writing a comment like this, pay attention to what has been said. If you have a hard time with dealing with pressure, maybe you should consider purchasing a coaching session! ;)
Thanks, I was kicking-ass with this civ without knowing about the cows so this is about to be really strong rando-roll.
Wow, you are amazing, at 15 minutes with this civilization I only have 2 barracks, 2 archery range, 5 houses and 25 villagers hehe
Thank you for the build orders

Definetly what i waiting for

Musofadi or Sofas :)

Hello! What build or strategy would you suggest now for going Conq 1?
I would suggest to go with 1 civilisation, research matchups and then pick the builds that are best for playing those.
Seems like a tricky BO (I mean here you faced no aggression whatsoever), but once it comes online it is strong. @Valdemar does this still work after dlc new civs seem to rush. Just started playing the game i love malian

same problem and same solution! I appreciate you asking and I am glad Valdemar replied. Five months later this tip is still helping new players.
Thanks for this one! And great to see you on aoe4guides :)
How should Rus play against this strat?
Multi TC feudal aggro or 2TC FC :)
What about farimba guide?
That will come!
Why don't you build 7 houses around mine to start?
I actually build 7 plus the mining camp at start to maximize passive gold
Well then...I've lost a lot of rank trying this build and civ. Can't seem to get anything going vs. any civ so far. Conq 1 to Diamond 1 in a few hours lol
That is unfortunate. Remember to scout and adapt, so you can respond correctly to your opponents actions.

malian is way too hard to paly and i always lose, idk how ppl find them op their units sucks and squishy
Poison arrows are grossly OP

This build doesn't work, maybe 1 out of 10 games you can not make any unit before castle xd in normal game opponent will just rush you
Remember to watch the video and not just the build order. :)
The moment any amount of pressure gets applied to this build it fucking crumbles
