    Heya global surveyor! Thanks for all the work you put in, really loving these surveying vids. I've been trying to learn surveying and sorta wrapped my head around how a surveyor would set control through traversing and occupying stations, but I see surveyors on construction sites coordinating reflective targets and can't figure it out. What's the process behind that?

      @@blinkin7641 Hi. The reflective targets / stickers work just like a prism on a tripod. You can measure to them. And so they can be used to position yourself on a construction site or anywhere provided you can see say a min of 3. The best thing about the targets is that they can be placed anywhere but you need to measure to them and have them coordinated with your site first.

      Best way is to go learn it at a college, understand how bearing and distances translates back to easting and northing coordinates. Then after, work with a surveyor/firm to learn this via being an assistant at the early stages.
