i asked the staff when i was in Japan. the leather stretches a bit more on a rainy day. the difference may be minor. i feel like there is an extra "function" with the M8 and i do play sometimes on a rainy day, so i picked the M8.
I agree 100%, the DNA or Wave Cup Legend should be the standard boot for them because of the more modern soleplates, this soleplate is amazing only for summertime FG pitches, it suffers on all the rest, plus for wide feet I feel that the studs in the back are too close to each other and my ankle is in more danger of rolling as there's less stability, those studs in particular on the newer models are made at an angle and that gives incredible stability. All the best, mate!
I honestly can never get bored of these boots or cannot sing it’s praises enough. At the moment along with my Adler Horenso,Asics DS Light X fly 4 and adidas crazyfast.1,these are boots that I constantly have as my main pair or my back when I rotate with the other 3 boots. Still have my early 2023 pair and it’s still going strong. Easily my top 3 most comfortable football boots of all time and definitely my top 5 favorite of all time.
these paired with thinner laces is chefs kiss. kinda wished they also made blackouts. also if the the cross stitch was more readily available in other colors and countries
@@NoahCavanaugh in ur opinion if i bring it to a shoe repair shop ( i don’t know the right term in English I hope u got it sorry ) there is space to add a hole for the runners knot?
Ive recently got into buying Mizuno products.... running shoes, winter gloves, padded jacket.....the build quality on all of them is just class. Really well made and designed products. Mizuno is ridiculously underrated as a sports brand. Their stuff is far better quality than Nike and Adidas products imho.
Big fan of the Morelia 2 as it’s one of the few boots that can fit my wide feet, but I find the heel area so lacking in lockdown that I’ve thought about adding extra lace holes. I’m just too afraid to damage the boots accidentally, if anyone could make a video on how to add lace holes onto the Morelia 2 that would be a lifesaver 😂
Nice review. I don't have the budget for the MIJ, but I am eyeing the elites for either the 2's or Neo 4's. I just need to get the sizing right as i wear 12.5 US normally, but they offer 12 or 13. Depending on the model, some say stay true to size or go 1/2 size down. I guess i will have to refer to your sizing guide for assistance.
1000000000000% agreed on the studs being a bit too thick for AG. feels like I'm walking above the ground. studs arent able to sink into the turf compared to the neo's thinner studs. sad i haven't been able to fully enjoy these =[
@@Ym-nc7wn depends on the type of AG you play on. the turfs with tire particles you can wear neos with the thinner studs or morelia TF. the turfs that are more like a carpet and harder you should wear morelia TF
There are some insane discounts on made in Italy Diadora Maximus variants these days. Looking forward to your opinions on them. A very underrated amalgamation of old/new school imo. Personally i like em more than Morelias due to being more (uniformly) padded and having modern-er undersole.
Killing it Noah . Great review. My son uses Mizuno boots. They are the best, but they do wear at the toe really fast. What could Mizuno do to improve the design there. As I say, my son is a big fan of both alphas and the Neo 4 design. We know that Mizuno are planning to upgrade the boots soon. Do you see any upgrades coming?
Thank you! 🙏 It could be a case of your son dragging his toes when he plays too, that's pretty common at all levels of the game! AND if he plays mostly on artificial ground, that's probably part of it as well. Mizuno upgrades will be coming soon! The Alpha 2 will be launching in a month or two I believe
@@NoahCavanaugh I'm sure you are right. He also has the mix-soft boots for grass, and they have lasted really well..... they are brilliant. Of course, they have rivets through the underside of the toecap. I hope that Mizuno improves the resilience of the toecaps on their boots like the recent Puma upgrades appear to - a few grammes of extra weight would be well worth it IMO.
My number one complaint is that there is no SG-Variation of that boot. I love that boot. Would you recommend a leather sg-boot which has a similar fit. I got the New Balance 442 but they are a little bit to long in the toe box.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Noah! Are shoe stretchers a good option if I already tried to stretch the boot by filling it with a bag of water and throwing it in the freezer? Or am I cooked? This is for a pair of New Balance Furon V7's that I have worn a couple times, they just squeeze my left foot too much 😢
I got this exact pair of boots and it is absolutely brilliant. Previously I had the neo 2 and the rebula, but both had some fit issue at the beginning which resolved themselves after breaking in. The morelia ii tho is perfect the moment I wear it, absolute madness. One thing I noticed though, I had the Alpha as well which I absolutely hated the synthetic material feeling and trying to sell it now, I find that I can 'react' faster with the alpha while the morelia doesn't give me the start or turn like the alpha does. Not sure it's because of playing on AG or the sole plate design difference of the two boots? Not sure if you have the same feeling Either way I'm settled with morelia ii, and I have just worn it once, hopefully once I get used to it the reaction will be similar to the alpha.
Love to hear that mate! In general the Alpha is more aggressive and has better overall lockdown, giving you the "reaction" improvement you're speaking about - very common! 🤝
Thanks mate! So it's just sth I need to get used to yea? Do u think sanding the studs would help (I play on AG exclusively) and if there's a guide to do so, or try find someone to punch an extra set of lace holes would do the trick?
I can answer, I bought both after watching Noah’s videos. For my feet, the regular stitch feel like heaven no break in time, the cross stitch does feel slightly tighter but I imagine they’ll feel like heaven once they’ve been broken in.

Awesome review, Noah. Like you said, the colourway is ridiculous! Unfortunately, I couldn't afford an MIJ. Will the Elite grade still be worth it? Could you help tell me the difference?
