Hey guys, loving the trips. How do you keep your gear safe on multiday trips and in remote spots? I get so nervous leaving the van in the sticks sometimes..
Cheers mate!! You just have to leave it and hope for the best mate. We haven't had a problem in the last 10 years. We've had more trouble parking our car on the street out the front of our house lately... 😢😂
Hi Mark, It’s just one that was on special at Aldi. Ambiano is the brand. I personally think I’d go with a more we’ll know brand next time but I had that laying around so used it. In saying that it hasn’t let me down yet so I can't knock it at all 👍 Cheers, Steve
Yeah Steve got all that worked out, he is on another trip at the moment. ill let him know to fill in the details when he gets back probably monday. Cheers, Marc
Hey Mate! Yeh I got the problem sorted. There had been previous water in the free wheeling hub and it had rusted solid so it wouldn't engage when turned. Real pain in the ass but an easy fix when we got back to town 👍 Cheers, Steve
Yeh that’s it mate. Don’t really like driving around constantly with the lockers in though due to risk of breaking stuff. So the trip was basically done in only rear wheel drive unless we got stuck then we’d put the lockers in and have 3wd 👍
Cheers mate! At first we though it was a locker problem and it wasn't until the end of the trip that we realised it was most likely the hub. We assumed it was not going to be fixable on the side of the track without any spare parts for it so didn't think there would be much point pulling it all apart.
Yeh we stuffed around with it a bit but couldn't get it to engage. Mechanic found that it was so rusted in there that it had locked itself off... So in hindsight we probably could have got it working again on the side of the road with a bit of lanolin.
Also boys slow down on the dirt roads if it takes you an extra half hour to get to camp what's it matter. Other then that great video first time coming across you guys and love it
Marc is the leader of this gang.
Thanks for the comment mate! i couldn't agree more. Cheers, Marc
I like how the standard Australian fish release is stand 10 feet away and throw the fish back. No way I'm getting close to that water.
Yeh mate. It’s a standard northern Australia release. After you’ve seen a few big crocs you realise your not the top of the food chain 😳

What brand Induction cooktop is it and do you recommend it?
Hi Mate, will get Steve onto this question as soon as he is back from his current camp trip.

Hey mate, did you work out what was wrong with left front wheel?
Yeah Steve got all that worked out, he is on another trip at the moment. ill let him know to fill in the details when he gets back probably monday. Cheers, Marc

Thanks Mate, cheers for the support.
You'll have 3 wheel drive not two with the locker the drive will go to the wheel that isn't broken provided you haven't broken something in the rear
Yeh that’s it mate. Don’t really like driving around constantly with the lockers in though due to risk of breaking stuff.

Good series, really enjoy it, why didn’t you just pull the hub off and have a look at the start?

@@TrueNorthAdventures usually you can play with the hubs and they will start working again. What was the problem in the end?
Yeh we stuffed around with it a bit but couldn't get it to engage. Mechanic found that it was so rusted in there that it had locked itself off... So in hindsight we probably could have got it working again on the side of the road with a bit of lanolin.
@@TrueNorthAdventures hindsight is a beautiful thing! Ahh well atleast you know for next time!
Yeh that’s it mate 👍
