BOGGED AND BROKEN IN CAPE YORK!!! - Starcke River track to Cape Melville towing a 5m boat
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 гру 2024
- The guys leave cairns bright and early headed on a Cape York adventure along the Starkey River Track. This tough 4wd track is right up there with Cape Yorks hardest tracks like the Old Telegraph Track, Frenchmans Track and the Old Coach Road. It will be made only harder with the Landcruiser 79 series towing a 5m boat.
When they reach the first major creek crossing they quickly realise that there is something seriously wrong with the Landcruiser.
Will they make it to Cape Melville to go fishing today or will it take longer than expected?

Great work lads! That bull dust incline looked like a bloody mission. Tyre pressures did the trick, good thinking. Keen for the next one 💪🏻

Ahahahaha so funny you guys every break, you’d a beer🙌🤣
You’ve got to stay hydrated mate! 😉😂
Looks good, did the same thing last year in August towed the boat through there didn’t know what we were in for took us 2.5 days from hopevale to cape Melville chopping trees to get the trailer around corners 😂 good watch 🙌🏼 allround_aus
Cheers mate! 👍
Wow sounds like a mission!! You probably helped us along a bit by removing a few trees 😂 We had done it before without trailers so had a bit of an idea what we were in for but was still a lot slower than we thought.
Hey man, enjoyed the vid. what power have you got running to be able to run an induction cooker? and what is the discharge rate on the batteries? thanks
Thanks mate!!
Its a 100ah DCS battery with a 2000w inverter. It draws about 80amps when cooking on med-high heat (about 100amps flat out). You can cook most meals in about 10 minutes so it will use approx 14ams to cook a meal. Obviously its not great for stews etc that take a long time to cook but for quick meals or boiling the billy its excellent. You will see us using it in pretty much every episode of the series 👍
@@TrueNorthAdventures awesome, thanks. I've been wanting to move away from gas. look forward to your next adventures.. cheers
Yeh its definitely a nice luxury although do we still carry a small butane burner for cooking on the boat and for backup.
Do you have affiliate links for the deflators you use at 3:23?

Cheers mate!!! The Song is T.I Blues by Seaman Dan 👍
That bull dust though!
Yeh there were no shortage of deep holes!
It’s pretty common along the Starcke towards the end of the dry 👍
You might want to change your thumbnail title to "whose idea..." rather than "who's idea...".
Tough going with that boat behind!
Cheers mate... we will 👍
Yeh it sure was! Good fun though 👌
Next time unhook the boat and winch it up 👍 nice video though looks fun 👌
Cheers mate! Yeh definitely an option we could have used 👍
@TrueNorthAdventures you got it up there so that's all that matters 🎣👍
Baxter and stevie, you blokes been to kakadu? You look familiar like these fellas rocked up to this unmarked camp spot when there were two couples already camped out, me and my mates rocked up then at night two more rocked up and shared out the drinks, we walked to the waterfall and got absolutely slaughtered by rum haha
They called him lumberjack
Sounds like a bloody good night mate but unfortunately it wasn't us.. 😂
I like it!
Thanks mate!!! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Well done guys plenty of bulldust and bullshit haha
😂 Glad you like it mate!
Like, pull the cruiser up the hills mate and stop chopping the tracks up to the shithouse. Pull it if your towing before it chops up.
We did try pulling it up with a tow rope but due to the angles at play it didn't work. It just pulled the front of there car harder into the hill. We didn't try a snatch because again with the different angles of the cars it most likely would have just done damage to vehicle.
@@TrueNorthAdventures I did like the film aye man, sick trip.
@@christopherbrown1661 cheers mate! Season 2 isn’t far away so stay tuned!! 👍
@@TrueNorthAdventures Might see you there, look out for an old school white toyota towing a beaten up flared bow. Yes, tyre pressure is everything. We will be taking the custom jockey wheel for the trailer so you can crawl up the snot and then winch up the boat. Good work lads, I know I was a bit hot lipped on the criticism but I really am sick of wankers tearing up tracks with 300 hp and 42 psi in the tyres. Be good if we run into ya's.
Sounds awesome mate! Have a good trip! If you see us out there come say gday 👍
like and a sub.
Thanks mate! 🙌
