Hey boys, good Ep. The ship is an old Light Ship. Back in the days they used to anchor the ship and be a floating lighthouse. Big cycle smashed it up and it went adrift. Washed up at Vrilya. We visited about 10yr ago and was pretty covered in sand. interesting to see it exposed. My son did an assignment at school about it,. Named - Carpentaria Lightship CLS3 Keep up the good work!
@@cruisin_our_countryYep we were last there in 2004 and it had been there a while. There were a couple of big dead leopard rays dead in the gutters as we drove down to camp at the point as well.
Great video as always! Love them all! Honestly, how do you rate the Jetboil Genesis base camp for travelling like this? I've been hesitant to spend the $ but when I'm away all my dinners are one pot one pan jobs so...
Cheers mate! The genesis is awesome! For trips like this we would buy one everyday of the week. There are times when we don’t use it.. for example a quick roadside stop it’s still quicker for us to get out the induction cooktop and cook that way. But yeh for camping on the boat it is 100 times better than the old butane cooker. Pan is awesome and non stick. Handles the wind really well. Gets super hot for deep frying things like fish. Packs up easily into one bag. Definitely worth’s the coin 👍
@TrueNorthAdventures sweet, I shall get one for Christmas then! I live only 2 hours from the Victorian High Country I'm up there every second weekend and in winter need my Jetboil Flash to boil water or cook anything really sometimes. Cheers for the info, keep up the good work and swing more rods than hammers and more braid than string lines🤙
Cheers mate! Yes sold the fishseeker about 3 years ago. Current boat is a Yellowfin 6.5m centre console with a 200hp Suzuki on the back. There is a walk around of the boat coming out this Monday on UA-cam 👍
You fellas are stone cold champions!! When you come over to the promised land (NZ) we will go fishing…. No crocs no snakes ….. not very impressive fish!! 😮 but we have very good beer
Thanks
WOW! Thanks so much for the support, mate!!! Really appreciate it!!

Very educational turtle segment. Didn’t know they threw the sand that far! Great series boys. Keep it going.
we didn’t either until we watched a very informative Russel Coight documentary 😜😂
Steve seems like he's had practise with the turtle nesting procedure.
You chippies are another breed, nearly electricians.
Exactly like sparkies… except smarter and poorer 😜

That wreck was a floating lightship. We got photos of it with our cars beside it back in 2005 when you could camp there
Cheers mate!! Was it as exposed as this in 2005?
@TrueNorthAdventures no it had sides and a mast back then
