Always loving Simplex 4903’s. My local McKay’s used to have those paired with 2099-9754’s. Panel was a 4004. Now, a U-haul storage facility took its place, and everything has been replaced with Silent Knight pulls and Wheelock Exceders.
Ehh, at least they didn’t use the L-Series. My local Best-Buy also had Simplex 2903s and Simplex 2099s. However, the system got replaced in November 2017 with a Silent Knight 5700 and the devices were replaced with the System Sensor P2RLs and Silent Knight IDP-PULL-DAs (basically a rebranded Fire-lite BG-12LXs)

@@kansasfirealarms5101 Nice! Summer system test in male dorm by Joel Speck as this video is in the same place as this video: ua-cam.com/video/dtYo287OEJ8/v-deo.html All of the notes of every alarm in each Hallway (from the video link) 1st Hallway 1. C 2. E 3. Ab 2nd Hallway 4. Ab 5. G 6. G 3rd Hallway 7. F# 8. Ab 9. F# 4th Hallway 10. G 11. G 12. F# 5th Hallway 13. G 14. G 15. Ab It appears that each Hallway has 2 alarms on the same horn pitch and 1 is on a different pitch, except the first Hallway as the 1st alarm in the first Hallway has a pitch of C and its a 4903-9252 as it most likely replaced a dysfunctional 4903-9219 making this Hallway unique. If the 1st 4903-9219 still worked to this day or it sounded before it got replaced with a 4903-9252 then it could've sounded in the key of E or Ab which would look like this: 1. E 2. E 3. Ab Or 1. Ab 2. E 3. Ab

Yeah, MNU has a smattering of equipment and models, as you’ve seen.
And someone set off the door hold open alarm. Ha!
That was me! Appreciate your comment!
Man I love that system! I remember watching joel's video about this system several years ago.
It was a cool one to test
I remember just how mellow this sounded
It was definitely cool!
I remember watching that old video from Joel very nostalgic!
It’s pretty cool for sure
Subbed!
Thanks!!
That’s sick. I remember watching these systems back in the day
i’m glad i can provide this content!
Is that panel still a 4004?
So far as I know. It was at the time of filming.
Heads up! I heard that Google is going to take down videos of accounts that weren't logged in within two years, starting in December, 2023! (IIRC)
Saw something about that
I am guessing the Dorm used to have all the 9219's and i guess one of them died and was replaced with a 9252.
yeah thats what most likely happened

thanks!!

yep, the alarms in the dorm consist of Simplex 4903-9219's and a Simplex 4903-9252.
1:16 I’ve never heard of the 9219 in a very low pitch.
its definitely cool to see/hear!
Sounds like it got even lower from when that place was inspected in 2015

I also like how the 4903s drown out the security alarm💪🏻

it was a security alarm i accidentally set off 😭
