Lots on Marcus Smith's "sparkling 19 points!" but nothing how he cost the first try with a ridiculous run that went nowhere and led to a penalty or how he disappeared after halftime.
@camdavey521 uncalled for. I think it is a fair comment. Not everybody can watch or listen live.. and so look we look forward to catching up with highlights. Simply state the match without the result...how hard can that be.
As an England fan, I wouldn't swap Furbank for any other fullback in world rugby. He should be starting for the Lions next year. His improvement has been unbelievable.
I get it, but it’s one thing to watch it in slow motion and say he’s wrong, but then to be playing in a game where you’re going full speed across the the field to stop a try and the ball carrier is full speed trying to score, and then you have to react split second to him diving for the line.
@@DocOctoganapus If you can't tackle safely then you shouldn't tackle at all. The quins player needs to get there earlier if he wants to stop the try.
Dirty tactic by the quins player trying to trip up Furbank when he slipped through to setup Sleightholme! But can someone explain why the TMO didn’t intervene for the blatant forward pass to Marcus Smith for his second try 🤦♂️
Because the on field decision was try from the ref the TMO needed a clear camera to show the ball came forwards out the hands and none of the camera angles showed that. Unfortunately it’s irrelevant whether the ball goes forward afterwards as long as it starts moving backwards out of the hands
@@24hr_rugby_jakeyes, the problem with lofted slow passes like that is that they are much more subject to the forces of momentum than a flat pass. So they look much worse.
@@John-ny7jn He was practically jogging though, momentum alone isn't what made it go forwards. It's why I would love the smart ball tracking tech to continue to improve so refs don't have to make such subjective calls all the time.
@@RatzaChewyunfortunately I don’t think that’s relevant, u can see at 3:35 Evans’ hands go backwards so by the letter of law (which I agree may be flawed) the pass is good The ball tracker I agree could be useful but again you’d have to re-write the laws bc the tracker won’t account for the hands moving backwards
Thatnk tlyou great highlights, forget these tossers who cry because of results.. it's better this way. Plus when are you going realise marcus is shite😂
Regardless of the result both teams deserve some respect - both play rugby how it was meant to be played
Class game, these 2 teams are just great. And franklins gardens gotta have the best atmosphere in England. I’m jealous of all saints fans rn
Austin healey is easily the best co-commentator in the sport. Don’t care what people say, he has the best analysis by far and is funny

i love this commentator
Honestly best commentator in any sport, in England at least
Wing commander George Furbank
I don’t understand the penalty try, he’s trying to go low for the tackle but Ollie is diving for the score, what is he suppose to do?
Grab him below the shoulders
Not tackle the guy's face? Go for the chest, or the legs and try to flip the player diving over? You see it done.
Not punch him in the face is a good start

Why Jarrod Evans doesn’t feature for Wales, I’ll never know.
I do t understand why England just plays Marcus the full 80 ford cost England big time last week!!! And Gatland needs Jarrad Evans at 10 for Wales!!

Don’t think it was blatant. Wanted saints to win but for me that was flat out of the hands and drifted forward after
