Wow, I was actually impressed. After the first coat of paint, I wondered how they would eliminate the outside edge. Once you pulled the tab, well, I can see how genius it was. Great demonstration, my friend.
Congrats on almost a million subs! Easy to see why you're so close to another magic number. You radiate kindness, you're so knowledgeable, and a great teacher!
From the minute you took the patch out of the envelope. My first concern was just that. About seeing some form of lip around the patch on the wall. The makers did a good job in resolving this by developing the second pulldown patch. FANTASTIC !!
Great Idea Leah, and I think the cost of the Patch would be a bargain, compared to all the labor and other materials you had to buy if you were doing it the Plaster way. It would work for me and I'm sure for a lot of homeowners and contractors too. Thanks again for your expertise on "getting it done".
I might would try this on a place not likely to get hit again as an experiment. But, I don’t think I would trust it in an area might get hit again such as where a door knob might hit again. I can see where some renters might use it though. Being an owner, I think I will stick with California patch.
@@rickeykeeton4770 I agree. In certain circumstances, a "quick fix" might be a time and money saver. But like you say, a door knob replacement hole, would require more solid fixing.
I can see where this is worth the price. It is easy to use. You don't have to have a piece of sheet rock and plaster. There's no sanding or dusting. I would definitely use this. Thanks very much, Leah.
Leah, this is a wonderful idea. I look back at all the times I spent $$$ for patching small holes and this would have been a lifesaver. Lots of value with this product, in the time savings alone. As to the sometimes visible lip, if necessary, that could probably be feathered with minimal sanding. Loving this product! Thank you for showing it to us!

It's much less frustrating to not learn through mistakes heh. So glad I randomly "found" you again!
After watching, if the only cons are $12.00 for the patch and slight imperfections... I'll take that! The few times I have tried to patch a hole I've ended up with more than a slight imperfection! More like a bulge! Lol The application looks simple, easy and quick, which in my book saves time and money so therefore the patch has paid for itself! And also no clean up from having to sand...which also leads to having to dust everything around the area! Uugg! Again a time saver! And in my book time is money. Thank you for letting me know about this!
@@seejanedrill thanks Leah!!! I’ve been watching you since you had like 4000 followers and you’re still the best! Thanks for all your hard work and inspiration!

This is a great option for the average person and the DIYers out there. There is a skill to drywall & repairing acoustic or plaster. Hiring a skilled tradesmen would certainly cost the homeowner more than $12.00. Congrats on almost getting to a million subs. That's awesome! I know you'll reach that goal soon...I know you can do this!!! :)
The layer that gets removed after the first coat is genius. It blends in excellently. Much better than I'd thought it would. Good luck getting to 1M! I've already got a few people to subscribe to you. I'm sure it won't take you long, your channel is great
Hi Leah! Thank you for finding that patching product and for demonstrating it so clearly. After moving into our current residence and having many outlets and light fixtures moved/changed out, we were left with many holes needing drywall patching/repairs. I'm glad I dragged my feet in hiring it out because this product will produce a good-enough result for most of them and save me a LOT of $$. I can't wait to try it 😀
Oh my goodness! To think I could have been spared the drywall dust and mud!!! Never again thanks to this demo. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your demonstration. ❤
Nice video. The DAP rapid repair patch looks like a great fix idea especially for those who do not have alot of tools. I like that the patch is a "clean" (little to no mess) fix. Thanks for the nice video.
Thank you so much Jane. You are terrific and I enjoy your videos and learn a lot. Unfortunately I found a hole 5" wide in the closet. How the tenant did that I just can't fathom. Too bad they dont make a bigger patch. I will try this for smaller holes but smaller ones never seem to "happen". The only problem I see is matching the paint of the new repair to the existing wall, necessitating a new paint job. 😟
It looks good, but after showing me how to apply joint compound, I will stick with old school. I am in the process in painting, many cracks for a 70 year old house and remodel my bathroom. Thank you Leah for give me the confidence to maintain my home.❤️🧤🛰️
Wow. I was very skeptical after the 1st coat but it really disappeared after the 2nd! I usually use the 3M kits. They require spackle so this one seems better. Though the 3M hole filler is a thick plastic piece so that may be sturdier long-term. Very cool!
You're like a psychic carpenter , My kid just busted a hole ( baseball in the house) today in the wall , and I was dreading ,the usual repair job. I'm definitely giving it a try . Thanks 👍
This is a renter’s dream product. I had one tenant who had taken a centerfold picture to cover a fist-size hole then covered that with a small mirror. As if I wouldn’t have noticed it.
I have been curious about these for a few years but never had the inclination to try them at the price of $16 for a single 6 inch patch that Leah demonstrated. Wow they really work! But I think I’ll stick to the traditional way for now unless the price comes down.
Really cool demonstration Leah! I'm going to forward this to my best friend who is also my "home improvement teacher" in real life, and who also loves learning tips and tricks from others.
Thank you so much for sharing this! They will definitely come in handy for me as I don’t have all the tools needed or the strength to carry it to repair drywall the traditional way.
Great idea. Thanks for trying it out and showing us. I have a patching question where this would not work. The drain pipe from my clothes washer goes through a hole in the wall much bigger than it needs to be. In fact, the hole is big enough for rodents to pass through next to the pipe. How would one fix that type of hole? Meanwhile, I love watching your UA-cam programs. As others have already said, your instructions on how to do things and how to use tools are very helpful and easy to understand. Thank you!
It look cool, but I have to say it wouldn't hold a tv or large picture if you move into a new place and didn't know about it. Its good for lower wall areas. Congrats on one million. You deserve it!❤ I've learned so much from you. My favorite was the door knuckle bender. I bought one amd fixed the doors. Who would have thought. Love ya!❤
I wish they made this for a 10'x10' wall!!!! Great product for small holes and little work. I could fill my whole house with this stuff!! Thanks Leah. Great video as always.

That's a really clever product! I wonder how well it would stand up to an impact, like if the original hole was caused by a doorknob
I don't think I would use it behind a door knob or any hogh traffic area.
The drywall didn't hold up in the first place. Prevent it from happening again by installing a door stop.
