My favourite scene in the entire franchise is in 6 , when Jason throws the guy into a tree , then looks at his severed arm like ‘ my God , I knew I was strong but that’s just ridiculous !
Very silly movie. They used too much comedy in the movie. I like part 4 better because of the likable characters and dark , scary feeling the movie had.
Even though this was the only Friday movie in the franchise with zero nudity this is still my favorite in the franchise! The one liners, the way they made Jason entertaining and even funny, this RV scene, the police chase scene with Megan shoving Tommy's head in her lap with her tight blue jeans close up kitty shot "that looked like some good eating BTW", and the opening resurrection of J.V. this may not be the best movie in the franchise but its for sure my fav!
I say the best were 1, 2, 4, and 6. In their respectful right I think 3, 7, 8, Freddie VS Jason, and the remake are very great Friday movies just one bar below the best. Jason goes to hell and Jason X when I saw them for the first time I was like WTF, but those two movies have grown on me over the years especially Jason goes to hell and even Jason X to a certain extent. Just the concept of Jason in space was an overreach for me.
I always noticed that alot of these Friday the 13th movies offered unique and fun 80s tracks of rock. I digged the viber back then, very much. This song, in particular, is a fine example of the strength of that sound. The vocals are top-knotch, soaring at many parts to dizzying heights that just blows you away. The musical arrangement, the pounding percussion, adds an eerily suspenseful and passionate tone to the overall picture and landscape. Thanks for posting. Great to have it available! A+!
Its up there but its not the best, Parts II and IV are followed up by Part VI. Even though Part VI wasn't the best, its still my favorite sequel in the franchise.
I use to watch this over and over again back In high school in the late 80's. this sure brings back memories. what ever did happen to this kind of music. Truly my favorite Friday the 13th film of all time.
I just watched this with my friends at the start of 2nd January of 2022 and it was an incredible experience! All of us were glued to the screen from start to finish and it was a blast. This movie is my favorite Friday the 13th movie because it's just perfect (music, characters, story, kills and many more). I remember listening to this 3/4 years ago and had to come back to it
HA! Not only was this a great way to bring back Jason, it also brought back the king of shock, alice cooper!! Why can't they make'em like this anymore?
"I don't know! But, unless you wanna end up just like it I say we make this place a memory RIGHT NOW!" Great song! Awesome film! My personal favorite of the series of movies.
Wake up, middle of the night Screaming my brains out Get high, middle of the afternoon No way, can't stop thinking about you It's just my nightmare One lavish nightmare You call me animal That's just not the truth [Chorus] I'm no animal No animal with you No animal Oh-oh I'm no animal Tough luck ain't enough for you Your best friend turned out to be your worst enemy I know what you want, Neon Sunset Boulevard It's just my nightmare One lavish nightmare You call me an animal, but that's just not the truth [Chorus x 2] Wake up, middle of the night Screaming my brains out [Chorus x 5]
Imagine this: Mid fall, early November. It's 8 o-clock on a Saturday night and you want to watch a movie. You're home alone in your apartment, so you make some popcorn, grab a blanket, and watch Friday the 13th part 8. If you're feeling brave, you'll watch part 7 afterwards and either watch it all, or fall asleep halfway through it. You wake up in the morning, take out the disc, and begin your day, but slowly. The ultimate vibe.
The Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives soundtrack was basically Alice Cooper's comeback album "Constrictor" in 86' minus this song and Hard Rock Summer, the Cooper song played during Tommy and Megan's Camaro police chase scene! Some people will say Alice's 89' Trash album was his comeback album because it went triple platinum and "Poison" was a huge hit but Constrictor was his first album in 4 years after getting sober. You can find this soundtrack used either on vinyl, cassette, or cd just its a very rare find. They only released the soundtrack for less than a year and it sold well under 100,000 units globally.
The only tracks you need from this film are Hard Rock Summer, He's Back... and Teenage Frankenstein to be totally honest. If you're interested in Manfredini's score, then that as well.
jason gremlin well you go out and plug the chord in who unplugged it smokey the freaking bear I don't know Jason was slick about going in the bathroom of the RV to kill stupid teenagers who keep coming to his lake while in a moving viecle
Thank you, Aaron, for passing along the news. Sorry I did not respond sooner; I am not too often on this username. That being said, my heart and mind aches for this revelation. Very sad piece of knowledge. But, I appreciate you reaching out and letting me know, for it is important. This song, much like life itself, is a gift to treasure, remember & stands as a reminder that nothing ever fully passes on, it just becomes transformed in a different way. All the best to you & your loved ones.
Am I the only one who feels a strange romantic feeling from this song ? It feels like a man who knows he is a beast, sings this to the woman he loves. Him being an animal maybe everywhere else but with the one he loves truly.
Hey Aaron, thanks for the information. I had no idea this was the case, not at all. That is very sad to read & know. I think this song is good on its own - by itself - but it also reveals reveal heart, substance, talent & passion - much potential that the band (as a whole) could have & should have realized. These types of tragedies (outcomes) tend to happen alot in the entertainment world, unfortunately. Appreciate you sharing, your words & glad my words had a positive effect. Best wishes.
Every time I hear this song I put on a vest and get my wife to bounce up and down on top of me , then of course we both get murdered , every single time
Jason had some of the best kills in this movie. The triple decap was good, shoving the chicks head into the r.v's wall was memorable, ripping the dudes arm off taking his machete and slamming him into the tree was entertaining
The double kill on the couple getting on the motorcycle The cops skull getting crushed in and forcing mucus out of his nose Ripping Tommy's friend's organs out with bare hands Yeah this is the best Friday. Part IV is great too but VI is better rounded.
When Jason sees the motor home going up and down with this song playing in the background he tilts his head…..I thought Jason was gonna start rocking to it lol
Latest episode of PLL: Summer school paid an homage to the franchise. Hell they used this song during the end credits. Never thought I'd hear it anywhere else but F13th part 6.
Great song and just a great movie! I always have a blast with this one, it's just fun. I love that they take Jason serious of course, that's the key to the film working for me, but every risk they took paid off. It's probably my favourite Friday 13th movie, it's nothing too foul or over the top, it's just a good time.
Nikki: Can you go plug the cord back in. Cort: who unplugged the cord. Nikki: Smokey the fucking bear I don't know just go do it. Cort: You know how cold it is out there. Nikki: I don't give a shit Cort just go do it. Cort: You're a pain in the ass you know that a serious pain in the ass. Cort: Alright I'm going I'm going.
I like that song on B-Horror flick, "Graduation Day" called "The Gangster Rock" by Felony :) Did that have that on an album, or was it just performed in the movie itself and not intended to be a song on an album? Curious :)
I got invited to see this in the movie theater but my parents said no. So unfortunately the first Friday the 13th movie I saw in the movie theater was part seven. But Friday the 13th part six will always be one of my favorites.
Man, this movie had such a kick-ass soundtrack.
This movie was kick-ass!
Oh yeah - too bad Jason ripped the plug out before this song was over . . .

I love most the Fridays but F13 3D is the perfect blend. 4 if you want more serious.
Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. ONE of my absolute favorites of the franchise.
The remake is also very good. I think parts 2, 3, 4, 6 and the remake are the best ones
Even though this was the only Friday movie in the franchise with zero nudity this is still my favorite in the franchise! They made him entertaining and funny, yet they didn't crack jokes on him or make him look silly. Quite a balancing act that they did quite well.
+austinfailz Nail on the head! Er, hockey mask. I agree is what I mean.
Lol when Jason stops and sees the RV going up and down and he just tilts his head like, "really?"

Part VI, my favourite in the series. Love how it takes the piss out of it's self and horror movies in general. Also had some of the best kills.
Mine too! Great Alice Cooper songs too.
It introduced Thom Matthews as well. It'd be cool if he replaced Nick in Part VII
Part VI hands down the best out of all the movies. Love how Tommy comes back in Never Hike Alone.
